I'm currently using a ASUS ROG GL551JM from 2014. It still runs quite well...other than the screen has a few lines in it. I love ASUS. I'm in the research stage of finding my next laptop & chromebook (to replace or upgrade from an old tablet - my cats use for CatTV & UTube vids LOL). I'm really glad to see your review come up & can't agree with you more how OUTSTANDING ASUS has been for me. I also came from 'Apple' which left a sour taste in my mouth - so won't be going back. Linux/Windows tech for me. Thank You for making this video. I subscribed!

That is a nice laptop, I hope you'll have a lot of fun with it. But one thing is that if you think you need an i9, you should better wait until another i9 version will be back in stock, if in i7 is bottleneck you because of the lag of performance for your work, then you bought something that is of no use to you and if you're really getting annoyed with that, you'll probably eventually not gonna use that laptop and lay it back in your closet doing nothing anymore. lag spikes are one of the most annoying things you can experience in any kind of device. But if that's not the case, I hope you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Hey rage I haven’t been watching you for awhile cuz I’ve been busy but decided to come back and watch some of your vids and this was a good vid so thank you and it’s good to see that your doing well
I have one, a couple of times without looking I plug in the USB-C cable and it clicks into the USB-A port. I was puzzled until I looked at the cable. The plug case clicks snugly into the USB-A port, the first one on the left from the hinge.
This laptop works well with an external monitor at 4K. Set the lid to do nothing when closed. I bought a Logitech BT keyboard because I wanted the numeric keypad.

I wish I bought that so much
But the 155H 16G version also comes with the 1K instead of 3K screens. I didn't realize this until I bought it and then had to return it and now I'm using the 185H version which is awesome except the battery life sucks. I get maybe 4 to 4.5 hours with 1 screen watching youtube videos and surfing the web.

As a developer, this laptop would be perfect, as I wouldn't have to keep switching between windows, or use split screen.. only thing is, that it's 1.5k, and as a 16 year old, I can't afford that..

be careful with the bag, years ago I got an MSI laptop which came with a backpack. I put the laptop into it and put it in a bus, at the destination the fabric had pulled apart but the laptop was ok. Basically MSI had supplied a fragile backpack with the MSI brand. I was dissappointed with the bag.

Yes nearly perfect. The only thing missing is an NVME M.2 slot that should be under the kickstand for easy memory storage.
Other than that, it's the only laptop I see myself purchasing soon.
