    Awesome mods. The white pickups look classy on that black guitar. I have this same model. I put the Zakk Wylde EMG pickups in mine and locking tuners. My pickups cost more than the guitar.😀

    I put some string trees on mine. The break angle on high e and b seemed a bit much due to the headstock design. That seems to help, may go with the tusq nut too, thanks for the info! Definitely a nice guitar to do a couple little mods to make it even better!

    This is a great guitar 🎸 had my JS11 for a year now and love it. I'm getting around to upgrading it soon, looking at Irongear pickups as Seymour Duncan are really pricey in the UK.

      Can you also make this guitar sound like an acoustic one , for pop?

    • @JulioJustiniano
      @JulioJustiniano  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recommended. Mine currently has a P-Rail and a Jazz Pickup. I'm in love with this combination. This week I will mod it more, it will have a 5 way for the P-Rail (Series, Parallel, rail cocked wah sound using a cap, P90, and Rail), a toggle, and one volume. No tone knob and the toggle will be in place of where the tone knob normally is.

      You should see her now. Now has a Floyd Rose, Crackle Paint Job, P Rail in the bridge, Screamin Demon in the neck, Rewired for one volume, 3 way blade and a mini on/off/on toggle so I can choose which coil I want or full humbucker mode, and lost but not least used Birchwood Casey Tru Oil and Wax for the neck to glide.

      Im always on the hunt for ridiculous deals on used gear. I got a Jackson DX10D this way. They swapped the Jackson Floyd for a no name one, but since i blocked it for dive only it works just fine. also they added a EMG PA2 (boost switch) which alone is 80 bucks, and thats where I got my Screamin Deamon, which i took out and now has Dimebucker/Pearly Gates. Got it for 180 with a softshell case, gorgeous Flame maple. still, the JS11 is my main weapon.

    Very stupid question (I'm quite new at this stuff), does this guitar stay in tune? Reason for asking is because I was gonna buy a cheap guitar but a lot of people made a lot of comments of being constantly out of tune (specially when using the tremolo)... so I started looking at proper brands and I came across this one that I love its design... How's the J11 in that aspect? Thank you

    • @JulioJustiniano
      @JulioJustiniano  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest if you will use the tremolo it will not stay in tune. If you dont it will stay find. In my case mine is modified today and has a Floyd Rose thus the stock nut has been long gone.

    • @JulioJustiniano
      @JulioJustiniano  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally if I would go cheap to keep cheap, rather than modify, I would choose a Schecter.

      @@JulioJustiniano Thank you for the feedback... to be honest, I only started a few months ago with a borrowed guitar and I'm really shit at this :-) so I doubt I have much future in guitar playing :-) :-) .... although I love playing it, there is too much going on at home to fully commit, so I rather get something cheap to keep my interest going and if I really start improving in a couple of years then buy something nicer. Thanks again for the video and your advice there. Much appreciated.

      Mine had just smooth out the nut string slot.add some graphite powder to eliminate resistance so the string can reset back after using the tremolo.this will guarantee tuning stablility.

    • @JulioJustiniano
      @JulioJustiniano  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nabajyoti Bhattacharyya I got one for a Les Paul, there's always extra on the sides on purpose so you can accommodate it to your neck width. Though now this guitar has been modded even more and put on a Floyd Rose, new pickups, and a new paint job.

  • @tankdarla637
    @tankdarla637 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    the easiest thing you can do for tuning stability if you are gonna use that two poiint trem is simple, drives me nuts its common sense, put your high 3 strings on backwards, screw string trees, it has a tilt back neck, duh, do not use string trees

    • @JulioJustiniano
      @JulioJustiniano  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Today the guitar is painted and has a Floyd. Luthier charged me $40 for filling the holes and drilling the new holes and putting the locking nut. The tremolo as is ain't worth the upkeep. I'd spend the model above with the Jackson Floyd.

    I Have this guitar. (Wine red)
    And it came with .11 strings. They were worn so i bought .12. Problem is when i tuned the guitar to E the tremelo bridge had risen significantly high.

    • @JulioJustiniano
      @JulioJustiniano  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tremolo has springs. If your bridge is raised it is because the string are generating a stronger pull than the springs. In otder to correct this you need to tighten the screws that hold the claw that the springs are connected to. If it still has no resolved your issue, you will need to get more springs in order to increase the force.
