How to Build a RC Ramp Using Basic Tools!

- We built another ramp!!!
As we are quarantined, figured this is as good of a time as any!

Obviously, this ramp is setup for some extreme angle, and not a lot of distance. All you have to do is alter the angle you cut the ramps out of to help with that! Easy as can be!

That's really nice of ya to build a ramp for Rich D! He's got a fun channel for sure 👌 I must say that is a really beefy ramp 😱 The two I have build just have Masonite for the ramp surface 👍

We tend to hit these things at a high speed, and the X-Maxx will tear just about anything up.
I have a version of this already made that I copied for Rich D. I actually broke one of the boards with a hard hit from the 6S Kraton. It has to be strong to change the angle of the truck so abruptly!

Great video man, I have a huge yard but not enough ramps. And getting dump trucks full of soil seems ridiculous. May need to go this route
For sure! This is actually the second of these that I have made.
Works great, as it can be drug around to different areas (and for mowing).
Depending on the size of your yard, I would reduce the total angle some. This one REALLY SENDS YOU HIGH!!!!!
Very useful build...but I don't think taking the whole family out to deliver the ramp at a time like this was the best thing

To be clear:
- this was filmed before out city was locked down
- we had no intentions of anyone except me getting out of the van, the rest of the family just wanted to see the reactions
- I had no intentions of coming within 6 feet of Rich D...heck, I normally try not to! :)
@@RoadsideRC I'm glad to hear you guys are making good choices and I hope the rest of America will to we need to beat this so we can get back out and bash I was trapped in Doors all winter from cold temperatures just to end up right back indoors
Nice! I usually use cardboard, but it isn't durable and it flexes under pressure. I'm going to have to try and make one of these.
Go for it! I used other flimsier materials to start with...but they always end up breaking. Especially if hitting it with the X-Maxx.

Got my pallets few days ago some nice oak ones grabbed 2 and got some 60° weather for a weeks was trapped indoors artic blast came through freaking 20° for a week and 3 days of snow

I would say, this ramp does send the trucks pretty high. If you want it to be less aggressive, you can just shallow out the final angle some more.

Yes - exactly!
His backyard is limited in size, so this sends him UP so he can do stunts with it. He does some pretty crazy stuff.
