I per-ordered this monitor and I stepped over from a 27" ASUS Strix 4k 60Hz G-sync monitor, and I must say the gaming experience is better. Visually, I do not believe I lost anything coming from 4k, and the higher refresh rate improved my experience in FPS games. The HDR aspect wasn't a game changer for me, but going from 27" to 32" was awesome! The game feels more immersive and the picture is amazing. Games like Destiny 2 for example look absolutely stunning on this monitor. I only wish there was an option for HDR10 and still under $1k US, then the monitor would be perfect IMO. This was a great purchase that I'm very happy with!

@@nickt6595 Consoles will render most games at 4k then put it inside a 1440p (this is oversampling). It will give something almost indistinguishable from real 4k. On a PC, you can go into your videocard settings and increased the resolution that the games are running (Oversampling). So you can, if you want render 4k or even 8k the game, but the final output will fitted inside a 1440p. VR HMD are all doing oversampling (rendering at a higher resolution than the display). It is a new concept on PC.

On my Asus tuf, the ELMB sync is super great for sure. If it gets too dark, you can always use a lil bit of shadow boost. Also, if you like forced sharpening, I know the TUF model has it and not sure about this one but vivid pixel is not bad like 1 to 2 stages in.

32 inch at 1440p is truly brutal! I tried it in the past (Gigabyte 32QC) and when coming from a 27" at 1440p I could not for the life of me get away with the larger DPI/un-crisp image. I sold the monitor, then some months down the line I bought another as I remembered the input lag was awesome on it, figured I'd use it only as a secondary display, for competitive/online gaming, but alas, I remembered quickly how un-crisp 1440p looks on 32", and how much it annoys me, so I sold it not long after. Moral of the storey is within the 1st seven words of this comment. 😀

They'll sometimes be an incredible value product in which case that gets a showcase, but there's not much point showing just a reasonably good 1080p 120hz monitor just because its less expensive because it would just make for such a boring video.
