I'm watching that Run for the Money show that took Ghost Game's time slot, and has a lot of Digimon pedigree behind it, and it actually having a story arc is a nice change of pace.

Your list is pretty close to mine and I totally agree with what you said about the Frontier movie! It's been too long since I've watched the direct to tv movies for me to know exactly what rank I'd place them at, and only revenge of diaboromon and runaway locomon I had in watchable quality as a kid (I haven't watched any of the movies subtitled except for tri, kizuna, and x evolution but that was a very long time ago and in very low quality) but I like all of them, they're all pretty good. I hardly remember Battle of the Adventurers (again, unwatchable quality) so I really need to rewatch that movie. I would personally swap the rankings of Tri and Kizuna, simply because to me, Kizuna is a streamlined version of Tri with more Tai and Matt bias. Which, the latter isn't a good thing, but I cannot STAND tri so kizuna is higher ranking by default. At least I feel like Kizuna is a good movie even if it's a terrible Digimon movie. I can't even say I'd put it in E, they might both go in F, but Tri just makes me angry to think about to the point where I can't enjoy any part of it besides the tidbits of OG digidestined lore and Meicoomon's design. Honestly I haven't watched it fully since release but the last few movies just made me so unreasonably angry that I can't rewatch it, unlike Kizuna where yes I hate the message on every level but I can at least talk about it without bursting a blood vessel. My hatred of Tri is probably personal considering two of my favorite characters as a kid were Kari and TK in 02 specifically, and watching them be absolutely bastardized in Tri by ignoring the fact that their best friends are missing made my head hurt. I just can't get over that gaping plot hole, and that's before everything else that makes Tri bad!
I'm kinda glad Last Evolution got a low rank. It would've been an acceptable nostalgia grab if not for the fact that EVERY person with a Digimon partner WILL lose their Digimon and memories of said Digimon. ...Excuse me, WHAT?!? So what do that mean for Daisuke and his group?? What about people who's Digimon already died, like Meico? It would've been one thing if Agumon and Gabumon sacrificed themselves to save everyone or whatever, but this just feels like a giant slap in the face to the future of every character from the first two Adventure series!
Pretty much agree with you on Tri. 1 is okay, but I don't really care for Tai's "but the buildings" excuses as to why he doesn't want to fight. 2 is a pretty good 2 filler episodes and I like Digimon being cute. Though Meicoomon just killing Leomon out of the blue and becoming evil was a bit of a WTF moment that spirals into a lot of BS later on in the movies. 3 is pretty good overall and if they stopped it there I think Tri would have been a solid B not a D. 4 is decent until Dark Genai shows up and it's just long winded boring battles from here until the end of the series, I think the original Digidestined lore could have been something cool to explore, but nope just a quick flashback featuring the 2 worst characters in the show being the original Digidestined. 5 and 6 are literally just me checking my watch waiting for it to end. I also hated the ending because they just decided to kill Meicoomon instead of trying to save her like they'd been saying they'd do the entire second half of the series. I like my tragic stories, but this was totally unearned especially since they saved Gatomon from the same situation not that long before they said f**k it killing the plague cat. So glad Ghost Game actually did a better job with Meicoomon and Meicrackmon. I liked Kizuna but I can see why fans don't like it. It's really nostalgia heavy, but I kind of like the sad tear jerky conclusion to it which will probably be undone in the 02 movie because they need the ending montage of 02 to be canon. The only other movie's I've seen so far are the 3 movies included in Digimon Movie though I watch the original not the dubbed versions. I like the first 2 and I love how Mamoru Hasoda redid Our War Game into Summer Wars. Hurricane Touchdown was weird. I like the atmosphere, but it just feels really out there and didn't stick with me that much. I need to watch some more of these at some point, as well as quite a few of the series I haven't seen yet. I'm looking forward to the 02 movie, but I'm going into it with cautious optimism. I think the original stuff they're doing with the series is pretty good, but when nostalgia is involved I think it's not as good.
I agree with all of those I think. Except Kizuna. I rewatch revenge of diaboromon all the time. And for some reason I rewatch Runaway locomon all lot even though I agree with that it’s probably lower on the best. Think I just love listening to Rika sing in the dub.
I need to re-watch Tri, but from what I recall your opinion seems to match mine. First part is not great and there's too much teen angst not enough adventure, but at least it's Digimon Second and third parts are the only ones I would consider genuinely good. 2 has a bunch of fun SOL stuff and 3 has lots of Meiko crying. Not that I dislike Meiko or enjoy seeing her cry, but I do like how the other Chosen Children try to comfort her despite dealing with their own Digimon dealing with the infection. 4 I don't really remember other than Sora getting crushed into a cliff under a hulking great Mugendramon arm and coming out of it like it was nothing. Like I get that it's the Digital World but do the writers even physics? Mugehdramon is not small and there's no way he's not heavy as, the amount of momentum required to even move that arm at a low speed would turn Sora into a 2d object if she got between it and a cliff face, never mind that it smashed her into the cliff at speed. I mean don't get me wrong, I like Sora and I don't want to see her crushed to death, it's just when you make the protagonists invincible it kills the stakes and takes me out of the movie. Admittedly I never actually got around to watching 5 or 6, so I'm not sure if our opinions would align there but they probably would. I did appreciate Tri for giving Megas to the non Tai and Matt characters though.

Savers Burst mode (mostly cause it’s sub-I’m not a weeb) 9. TRI series (tho the project mouthwash abridged version makes it so much more bareable. Bumps it up to 3rd place.) 10. I think the original sub of digimon the movie are terrible. The music makes me cringe. Side note:. I have rips of all the movies in HD/4k and have added the English audio with Adobe. And currently I’m working on dubbing X Evolution in HD. I have a bunch of music and sound effects. I just have to have people do the voice acting. I may put it on TH-cam so people can see it in English and in HD.

Definitely the first half is better and feels very different from the second half. Honestly it would have been better if they just ended it after the 3rd movie, or started a new story arc instead of dragging that one out for 3 more movies.

I disagree about Runaway Locomon, I love it and I dont need it explained how the partners came back, they just went and got them. I like exploring a side of Rika we didnt get to see and it will always be more canon to me than the weird drama CDs.
