- Today we are going to be comparing the GoPro Max Lens Mod versus This CHEAP knockoff media Max that cost about $30 less.
Is there any difference between these two Max Lens Mods? Which one do I recommend for you? You’re definitely going to want to watch this one all the way through before you buy a Max Lens Mod.
But before we get to all that, let me just give you a quick 30 sec rundown of what the max Lens Mod is.

I bought one of those. And I was so stoked to get one for cheaper. Can’t remember the one I got but it was awesome. Got it on Amazon. I broke two of my GoPro lens mods
Sucks breaking a $100 lens. But I was NOT happy with the warped edge drum vision look of the cheap models lol

I've watch some other reviews of the Telesin Max lens mod but they didn't mention the warping nor could I see any issues in their sample video. I'm wondering whether it's a quality control issue with these 3rd party max lenses.
Either way, I'm going with the official GoPro one to be safe.

I’ve been using the max lens with a media mod for motorcycle vids. I can’t get rid of the fisheye tunnel view. I reset my camera to factory and it still does it. Any suggestions? I am in linear view, still no go 😢
Swiped down on the back screen of the GoPro. Then there should be a Max Lens icon on the bottom right corners to turn on and off
@@JaredHoff Thank you, I found the icon and it says, "Selecting Max Lens mode will disable Maximum video performance mode. I pressed "continue". Now my screen says Max Video. Will this cure the fish eye tunnel effect? Appreciate your help.
Can you take pictures with the official max lens mod! How is it for picture selfie etc
I don’t use the GoPro for pictures. Honestly, my iPhone does a better job at that.
Front screen protector??? How did you do that?
HSU makes them and I was really surprised with how much damage they can take… BUT to be honest with you, I don’t use them. Even when mountain biking, I’ve rarely had the need to protect that front screen.
You should compare the max lens mod to the new Hero 11’s Hyperview

Hero 11 and max lens mod was not shown anywhere yet ...
I’m wondering if you’ll even want a Max Lens Mod for the hero 11 because it has that super wide angle capability. But I honestly haven’t looked much into the Hero 11.

I bought one of those. Same results. It was practically unusable. A complete waste of money. Besides the warped edges, I was also getting a "brownish" image.
I emailed the company and they said, it’s totally normal… nothing wrong 😑 I was kind of hoping it was a one time issue. Always looking to save money, but some you get what you pay for 🤦🏼♂️

can a nd filter fit on a go pro with max lens mod?
No. I’ve actually stopped using any extra lenses. Too much hassle, and the standard GoPro lens seems to do just fine for the mountain biking I film.
