Work for Avis. Of all of our cars, and I've driven everything from a Benz to a Fiesta, this has been my favorite to drive. It's an all around, prefect vehicle. Dash layout, power, storage, comfort, mileage. and the huge sunroof. A+ Ford... I'm buying one.
+juliadennehy last winter me and a friend who owns an Escape where switching vehicles to travel to work on a weekly basis, that escape was as thirsty if not thirstier than my '03 Tundra 4.7 V-8,, i couldn't believe how that little engine could suck gas that bad for a 4 banger, it could almost chugg crude oil faster than we can discover it lol
The new Escape looks actually very slick, but I'd prefer the previous gen over this one. My mom has a 2014 Escape SE with the 1.6L EcoBoost and she is lead-footed on the throttle. She loves how she can feel the V6 grunt out of it, while still retaining an I4 economy rating. She has had it for just over two years, and has over 21,000 miles on it.
+Victor Antonio lol I think ur talking about Kia and Hyundai, you can't beat Japan's huge car company's.toyota and Ford are tied for #1 love them both the same.
I compared the the Ford Escape to the Honda CRV, Toyota RAV, and VW Tiguan; I bought a fully optioned Ford Escape Titanium; it was by far the most feature rich and enjoyable to ride in.
Just got the 2018 Titanium SED. Decked out all options and yes the 2.0L Ecobust 245 hp. This vehicle tides smooth sbd, quiet and with excellent. Smooth acceleration . My average mpg on 1st tank came to 25.6 mpg better than EPA. But! I do use 93 octane to achieve this. If u drive a vehicle with a turbo , then premium is recommended. I also have Volvo S60 same as octane just runs, smoother and more economical on 93 octane fuel. Much better response acceleration wise.
I've been looking for a nice commuter vehicle in this size range. When I heard that there was going to be a new 2017 Ford Escape I figured on waiting to see what it looked like. Was actually talking to the wife this afternoon after looking at the Audi Q3 today and said "wonder when the new Escape is coming out". Did a TH-cam search, and just 6 hours ago The Fast Lane Car posted this... Thanks Roman!!!
I actually love the current version of the front much better than this new grafted on one, but the center console improvements are nice. Love the new blue, but nothing was wrong with the "old" deep impact blue - quite an real nice color. Thanks for the quick take and color compares.
Actually I believe they added another blue aside from the lightning blue they showed..as you said, "steel blue" which is also a nice shade but it's more of a shiny metallic grayish blue color. The deep impact blue on the last generation was kind of navy/indigo blue. I've been doing my homework before I buy one haha
The 2.0l Ecoboost isn't new for the Escape, it was in the previous body style. Only new turbo engine is the 1.5l Ecoboost which replaces the 1.6l Ecoboost, for economy reasons. And the naturally aspirated engine is a 2.5l, not a 2.0l.
At least the Escape gives you an on/off button for the stop/start system. Thank you, Ford! Boo 2018 Equinox. But I prefer driving the Escape in Sport mode, which turns off the stop/start system with me not even thinking about it. Thanks for a positive review, which the nimble, spirited, attractive Escape certainly deserves!
I am pretty sure this new Escape will stand neck to neck or even beat the RAV 4 in sales and is the most powerful SUV 1 can buy Fantastic achievement by Ford Fusion,Escape, Edge,Explorer,Mustang,.. all in the top 5 sales charts, Fords European chassis has some real talent
Disappointed that the new more efficient engine only gets 26mpg combined. For much more horsepower and only a 1mpg penalty, might as well just get the 2.0 engine and say "screw the mpg".
It seems that the new models come out earlier every year. A 2017 coming out in April 2016 that means that the 2016 models will depreciate sooner. It's nice looking, but it seems expensive. I still believe the Subaru Forester is the best of the small SUV, with the best all wheel drive system and best crash test. I hope the seat is more comfortable than the 2016. Talking about seat comfort, the Ford Edge and the Explorers seats are very uncomfortable. Those models need better seats for 2017. Thanks for the fine initial review.
I bought a 2018 with 18k miles on it. So far I love the vehicle EXCEPT that it is only averaging 24.2 miles per gallon in spite of me being very careful to speed up gradually. Additionally I have a terrible rattle in the front right dashboard. I have an appointment on Tuesday; hope the dealership can find the rattle.
I have a 2005 Taurus SE with a 3.0 that gets about the same mileage. 24 or 25 on a good day. I will take tbe performace over mileage any day. This thing will scoot! Test drove a Edge with this motor. The Edge is to big for a 2.0 turbo. Lots bigger too. Shawn
Moved the shifter to more traditional spot? Why not use a column shifter to free up even more space? It is not like transmission is directly below the shifter since its FWD.
Wife drove the mkc.....$32k fwd but loaded! she loved it. she has owned an '01 escape, '06 mariner (daughter has it), '10 mariner and now maybe '17 ????
Nice car. Just got one , Eu version -KUGA- , and after 9000 Km It get's better and better to drive. I've got the 2L diesel version but it's so quiet, sometimes you think you are driving a petrol engine (being a petrol fan). I have to say it's very fun to drive on winding roads, you can feel the 4WD helping you. I'm really glad I opted for this vs VW Tiguan , Hyundai Tucson or Honda CRV. ( till now being a fan of VW, Skoda or Opel cars )
The previous Escape used to tie the CRV or beat it every month. Also, not to nit pick but it's not really the first Ford that has a noticeable front laser cruise control module. The Taurus with the adaptive cruise has part of the lower grille blocked off on the driver's side. Same with the Fusion.
Yep. Even in 2012, the last year of the old Escape, it was consistently the #1 selling small SUV. Ford was worried the new one wouldn't sell as well, and I guess they were right.
hope its nothing like mine.2013 brand new, boosted over 200 times,4 battery replacements,3 radio head units and a complete wiring harness, all within the first 2 years.my 8 year old van has been to the shop once for machanical.henery for would be disgusted.
I notice quite a bit of differences from our '16 Titanium. I saw a 2017 basic S model for sale at the local dealer today out front. First one I've seen.
The Escape has been offered with at 2.0T since the 2013 model year, so that's not exactly new. If this is a "new" 2.0T, it would have been nice to get a breakdown how it's different from the "old" one.
my mom had a 2013 with the 2.0 eco after 70,000 miles a vacuum pump went out and I lost power brakes going 75mph. shortly after that more issues started. major, as in burning oil terribly and transmission issues. I really liked the car. was a beast in light snow conditions and had great power. but we are now a 100% Toyota family.
The 1.5L Ecoboost & 2.0L Ecoboost are NOT new engine options for the 2017. I have a 2015 Escape Titanium with the 2.0L Ecoboost (Turbocharged) engine. Escape options for 2015 are: SE - 2.5L n/a, 1.5L Eco (FWD) SEL - 1.5L Eco, 2.0L Eco (FWD/4WD) Titanium - 2.0L Eco (FWD/AWD)
2016 and older had 1.6L Eco Boost, the new one is 1.5L with more power. The 2.0 as mentioned is also using a twin scroll turbo and has start/stop technology. The only engine that's a carry over is the naturally aspirated 2.5L
+jabroni6199 Personally I would consider an upgraded turbo and new electronic aid to be a "new engine". Still the same 2.0L turbo, just with a few small refinements...
+Michael Artelle the 6 speed in the escapes is a just a traditional 6 speed auto the focus and fiesta are the only ones with the dual clutch 6 speed auto
I have a 15' Escape and i just cant get over how bad the rear part of the interior is the back seats are Very uncomfortable and the door handle in the back are so cheap the doors also lack soft touch materials on top of it, the one i got, cost me 40K THE REST I LOVE, but i think the new Tucson is better because of the nicer interior
Jacob, This 2017 is way different. Buying one next week used for $18,000. What a steal! 2.0 turbo AWD, panoramic roof and lift gate. Brand new $32,845.00. Shawn
I think it's to light for that. I have the bigger engine that it offers and you barely push the gas and it takes off. It's like driving a fast little sports car.. so much fun to drive and lots of power for a 4 cyl. Even when pulling a trailer..
Do you think Ford will ever put a 4wd "Lock" feature in the Escapes? I was a big fan of Ford for 15yrs, but after my 2015 Explorer being a let down with the 4x4 system I left and bought a Jeep GC. It seems like Ford has gotten away from making real off-road worthy SUV's compared to my 2008 Explorer that was solid off the pavement.
It's a compact cross over based on the Ford Focus, no way they're going to ever make it a hard core off roader. Though I do wish the Explorer had a more robost AWD/4WD setup like the Jeep GC as well as higher ground clearance
How about a better view of the interior next time...not moving the camera around so quickly, and maybe even open up the trunk and show us what the cargo space would look like?
Some help. I just picked mine up yesterday and on the display behind the steering wheel it has two MPG's. one has a circle with a line through it and one doesn't. What are each of these. The one without the circle went up as high as 99.9.
Not everyone want's a Turbo, I'm in the market for a new small SUV, and once I found out that all Escape's with AWD are Turbo only, I took the Escape off my list, now it's RAV4. It's to bad the EPA are forcing out V6's in so many vehicles, My sister in-law has an 04 Escape AWD, with over 360,000 miles and still runs good and has plenty of power, you won't get those kind of reliable miles from a Turbo engine.
+Jim Pease My wife hit a deer with our Jetta Turbo in about 2003, I wanted to get the Mercury version of the Escape, but owed to much on the Jetta, I should have took the loss and bought it, but who knew our government would force out many reliable vehicles, by the way my best MPG with a 1.8L Turbo is 26. People aren't considering that Turbos need to burn fuel for their power just like NA engines, but zap the life out of the engine, their not what their cracked up to be. Today you have 2 ton cars powered by 1.5L engines, like the Malibu, and they never achieve the advertised MPG. GIVE US BACK NA V6 VEHICLES!
+ron mortensen Something I forgot, the Journalist testing the car, stated Ford is Proud that ALL Escapes have Auto Start Stop function, Say goodbye to even more engine longevity, oh! but you'll save a couple buck's in gas.
TFL Team, other commenters. Legit question, I've been looking into a 2012 Range Rover Sport and was wondering how the reliability was, I'd like that or the new Ford Explorer Sport.
Hmm, doesn't seem he told us what engine was in the unit that he tested with the foot to the floor, and his seems with his head to the ceiling, either the vehicle was too small for him (he should have told us his height( or he coudn't height adjust the seat.
these have plenty of leg room. I'm 6 foot and i move the seat back about 60% of the way back. My 17 year old still has leg room sitting behind me. As for headroom, it has plenty for me. About an extra 4" of head room above my head. One thing that surprised me is how roomy it really is inside. I'm a big guy.. 6'0" and 350 #'s. And I fit very comfortable.
i owned 2014 Escape 2.0 Ecoboost Titanium. It had great power, mpg 19.0 all the time because i couldn't just go slow. it was much nicer than my friend's 2014 CR-V. Mainly, i am 6"4' and Escape without sunroof has plenty of head room. Escape had two negatives that's why I wouldn't buy it again! #1 The suspension was so stiff on interstates that i hated driving more than 30min. #2 The value of Escape decreases too fast. You can't even compare it to the value of CR-V after u put a few thousands miles on it.
No. Ford currently only uses cvts in their hybrid models. Still a 6 speed auto. I am guessing that after the 2017 Ford F-150 introduces the 10 speed in the new raptor, it will trickle down to all the cars in their lineup.
Utterly diabolical fuel consumption figures and this is supposed to be a "modern" vehicle ffs?!? My C4 Picasso averages 60mpg and easily would keep up with the Escape on the highways?!
Who at Ford thought it would be a good idea to make it so to change the battery you have to remove the air box first to get to the battery. I would not buy the escape for just that reason alone. Regardless if i paid someone else to work on the car. Idiots.
just a question guys why they change the cars name from a country to another Ford sell it as escape but here in Morocco and I think in Europe too they call it "kuga" !!!!!!!! stupid name don't you think? ??
+mehdi mouaily That sometimes happens. A lot of cars are sold as different names in different markets. Hyundai for example uses number designations everywhere except North America, where the cars have names.
+1guyin10 yes right but escape is much nicer than kuga also the previous generation of the fusion was cold mandeo here but the 2016 model is called fusion
Looks like a Subaru....I guess they wanted to catch some of that Forester market. I'd still buy a Forester before I get a Ford Escape. Cheaper, more reliable, better looking, and a better resale value by far.
The seats in Ford Explorer are horrendous, good thing I rented a car for full month before I made my decision. Whoever designed it was either for their own behind or never took a car for long drive - stay away. I wonder Ford Escape has the same problem. Truly most uncomfortable seats.
I HATE when he says "well, it's okay"...why? does he always has the need to compare normal cars with supercars? always saying "you're not gonna do this and that with the car" ...TLF, you must to compare cars with others in THE SEGMENT, not comparing them with the ones that are made to track or are higher perfomance cars, period!
Thanks for the review. The blacked out look is ugly, and start-stop is a PITA I don't want. However, as a stockholder, I hope Ford sells them faster than they can make 'em! The 1.5T mpg is the way to go folks, unless you want the 2.0T horsepower. Skip the base engine.
Work for Avis. Of all of our cars, and I've driven everything from a Benz to a Fiesta, this has been my favorite to drive. It's an all around, prefect vehicle. Dash layout, power, storage, comfort, mileage. and the huge sunroof. A+ Ford... I'm buying one.

this looks so much nicer than the rav4's at toyota I work on
damn
How , I think the new RAV4 looks abit nicer.
+John Hecke The Rav 4 still look better then this ford though to me
I don't think you have seen the 2017 Rav4 buddy... It's years better than this Ford.
+Victor Antonio lol I think ur talking about Kia and Hyundai, you can't beat Japan's huge car company's.toyota and Ford are tied for #1 love them both the same.

I just bought a 2018 Titanium a few months ago and I can't be more happier.
That's actually a pretty big refresh. It looks really nice.
Upgraded my 2007 Honda Fit to this when it just came out and I love it
The Escape is very nice. We had one as a rental in Colorado. 4x4 and it handled excellent. It drove pretty sporty for an SUV!
Just got the 2018 Titanium SED. Decked out all options and yes the 2.0L Ecobust 245 hp. This vehicle tides smooth sbd, quiet and with excellent. Smooth acceleration .

91 octane. But it will run on 87. I will put 93 in mine Shell. This thing is a rocket for a SUV. Shawn
A normal crossover review, refreshing for this channel that has lost its way a bit

drove one yesterday, throttle very responsive to say the least, very nice small suv wish it had a larger fuel tank though

I thought it was strange that he stated a 2.0 normal with only 1 mpg loss compared to the turbo.
At least the Escape gives you an on/off button for the stop/start system. Thank you, Ford! Boo 2018 Equinox. Fantastic achievement by Ford
Fusion,Escape, Edge,Explorer,Mustang,.. all in the top 5 sales charts, Fords European chassis has some real talent

And despite that Escape and Mustang GT are best selling Fords. Shows Ford stands with the majority.
Disappointed that the new more efficient engine only gets 26mpg combined. For much more horsepower and only a 1mpg penalty, might as well just get the 2.0 engine and say "screw the mpg".
We got them at my dealer. We call them the baby Edge.
That Ford start-up chime.... UUUUUGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!
The outside looks much better than it used too.
It seems that the new models come out earlier every year. A 2017 coming out in April 2016 that means that the 2016 models will depreciate sooner. It's nice looking, but it seems expensive.
Shawn
Ford Explorer is the way to go for families of 3 or more. I'd say this is perfect for a small family or a single person.
no. there are so many options other than Fords, man. with my previous experience, i will NEVER buy ford. Never again
+Estrading Co Why?
+Estrading Co dumbass. Probably a goddamn chevtard!
Uhm no Ford Explorer is good for a family of 5
Ford is always big on the outside and very small on the inside. Even the Expedition, Explorer except the Transit Connect Wagon
Bring back the hybrid version and also add a plugin version please.
Agreed!
+ohmywrd go check out the hybrid RAV4 really really nice vehicle
Actually not... the new RAV4s have an ongoing problem with squeaky cabin noises... and hybrids SUCK!
Just bought a new blue Escape Se
Moved the shifter to more traditional spot? Why not use a column shifter to free up even more space? It is not like transmission is directly below the shifter since its FWD.
it's a perception thing... but I totally agree! I'm a truck guy though so practicality is always on my mind.
I just got one White Titanium... I'm pumped! Love apple car play!!!
Wife drove the mkc.....$32k fwd but loaded! she loved it. she has owned an '01 escape, '06 mariner (daughter has it), '10 mariner and now maybe '17 ????
How about a Ford Escape ST with 6-speed dual clutch auto & paddle shifters please!
I agree.
Haha and a 2.3L RS motor!
How about NOT with the 6-speed dual clutch? I wish Ford NA would junk that awful Getrag transmission.
The Titanium Escape has padfle shifters already just behind your hands on the steering wheel. Shawn
Nice car. Just got one , Eu version -KUGA- , and after 9000 Km It get's better and better to drive. I am really glad they changed the tail lights on the Escape. I hated the old ones. They didn't fit the rest of the car.
thank god they changed the look of it, I used to look like the Ford Focus on stiles.
no joke, lol
+headgamer4297 BOXY STYLE PLEASE :(
Because Ford Focus and the Ford Escape shares shares the same body style.
Just Like the Fusion And Edge .
Also the Taurus and The Exploer.
The previous Escape used to tie the CRV or beat it every month. Also, not to nit pick but it's not really the first Ford that has a noticeable front laser cruise control module. The Taurus with the adaptive cruise has part of the lower grille blocked off on the driver's side.
Same with the Fusion.
+mmmfloorpie beat it every month for sales numbers?
Yep. Even in 2012, the last year of the old Escape, it was consistently the #1 selling small SUV. Ford was worried the new one wouldn't sell as well, and I guess they were right.
mmmfloorpie if i had to pick i'd choose the Honda in a heartbeat
hope its nothing like mine.2013 brand new, boosted over 200 times,4 battery replacements,3 radio head units and a complete wiring harness, all within the first 2 years.my 8 year old van has been to the shop once for machanical.henery for would be disgusted.
Thank you for posting a real video of the 2017 Escape. It was hard to find your video amongst all of the fake videos.
What trim were you driving with the panoramic sunroof? & what's the lowest trim you can get it on if anyone knows yet?
+Javonte Hill The Build & Price tool is live on Ford's website if you want to play with that. shop.ford.com/build/escape/#/select/
S model. 1.0 turbo. Move up on trim level. Shawn
DroverChicago the, current 3.0L is 245 hp, the prvious,2.0 had 5 ponies less and less torc. Then the 2017 /18 year model
Ok, somebody is wrong about the available non-turbo displacement.. which is it 2.0 or 2.5? I don't think he mention what trim level he was driving
Go with the 2.0! it is a killer engine/drivetrain. Fun to drive.
my mom had a 2013 with the 2.0 eco after 70,000 miles a vacuum pump went out and I lost power brakes going 75mph. shortly after that more issues started. major, as in burning oil terribly and transmission issues. I really liked the car. was a beast in light snow conditions and had great power. but we are now a 100% Toyota family.
+TheMrbearhunter1 i've been driving Toyota's since 1988 and saved so much money over the years in repairs compared to friends who drove domestics
Great vehicle I buy a new car every ten years I have an 08 escape right now can't wait to buy my 2018 Ford Escape Sport!
Did he say what motor he was driving? My guess was 1.5L. Also, his comments on the vehicle color options were way off Love the refreshed SUV though!!!
The 1.5L Ecoboost & 2.0L Ecoboost are NOT new engine options for the 2017.
I have a 2015 Escape Titanium with the 2.0L Ecoboost (Turbocharged) engine.
Escape options for 2015 are:
SE - 2.5L n/a, 1.5L Eco (FWD)
SEL - 1.5L Eco, 2.0L Eco (FWD/4WD)
Titanium - 2.0L Eco (FWD/AWD)
The 2.0 is different for 2017. It has a twin scroll turbo and a redesigned
exhaust manifold. It's supposed to have less turbo lag.
The engine used to be a 1.6
2016 and older had 1.6L Eco Boost, the new one is 1.5L with more power. The 2.0 as mentioned is also using a twin scroll turbo and has start/stop technology. The only engine that's a carry over is the naturally aspirated 2.5L
+Joe C
Yes, my mistake...1.6L not 1.5L
+jabroni6199
Personally I would consider an upgraded turbo and new electronic aid to be a "new engine".
Still the same 2.0L turbo, just with a few small refinements...
It's way better looking than the previous model!
+Michael Artelle Damn you should have waited. I was going to trade my 14 Explorer for the new Explorer, but this caught my attention.
+Michael Artelle the 6 speed in the escapes is a just a traditional 6 speed auto the focus and fiesta are the only ones with the dual clutch 6 speed auto
I have a 15' Escape and i just cant get over how bad the rear part of the interior is
the back seats are Very uncomfortable and the door handle in the back are so cheap
the doors also lack soft touch materials on top of it, the one i got, cost me 40K
THE REST I LOVE, but i think the new Tucson is better because of the nicer interior
Jacob, This 2017 is way different. Buying one next week used for $18,000. What a steal! 2.0 turbo AWD, panoramic roof and lift gate. Brand new $32,845.00. Shawn
Fird had me when I saw the bkue beauty,my favorite color,a beautiful color.
Looks nice. Bummer about the MPGs.
why does the escape sold in the USA have terrible MPG. But the same escape (kuga)in Europe has almost double mpg
Does the adaptive cruise control bring the car to a stop or just slows down and stops working below a certain speed?
Actually, both! Just waiting for Fords version of EyeSight.
i wish they would offer the 2.7 v6 in the escape thatd be awesome
I think it's to light for that. I have the bigger engine that it offers and you barely push the gas and it takes off. It's like driving a fast little sports car.. so much fun to drive and lots of power for a 4 cyl. Even when pulling a trailer..
Nice video guys, keep it up
Looked at them all ! Went with the Mazda CX5 Sport.
Mistake... low resale values...
They changed the door chime. It sounds so rough now.
Do you think Ford will ever put a 4wd "Lock" feature in the Escapes? I was a big fan of Ford for 15yrs, but after my 2015 Explorer being a let down with the 4x4 system I left and bought a Jeep GC. now it looks like a crossover
do a full review of the 1.5 I'm considering one later this year
Did you ever bought one?
I just don't get it, last ford escape 2016 had leds in the back lights ( or something similar), why is this new model not offering those leds??????
The consumers didn't like them
SummerWest VEVO man there is not a person that I know that do not like leds...
I believe the 2 liter turbo was offered in 2016, so its not "new"
How about a better view of the interior next time...not moving the camera around so quickly, and maybe even open up the trunk and show us what the cargo space would look like?
Some help. I just picked mine up yesterday and on the display behind the steering wheel it has two MPG's. one has a circle with a line through it and one doesn't. What are each of these. The one without the circle went up as high as 99.9.
Greg Cantelli without the circle is instant, vs long term.
why don't tfl guys review the 2017 Audi Q7?????
Ford needs to refresh that gauge cluster
The N/A engine is a 2.5 not a 2.0
Not everyone want's a Turbo, I'm in the market for a new small SUV, and once I found out that all Escape's with AWD are Turbo only, I took the Escape off my list, now it's RAV4. It's to bad the EPA are forcing out V6's in so many vehicles, My sister in-law has an 04 Escape AWD, with over 360,000 miles and still runs good and has plenty of power, you won't get those kind of reliable miles from a Turbo engine.
+ron mortensen The Escape with 360,000 miles is a V6!
+ron mortensen My 2005 with the V6 has been rock solid reliable. Never towed in in 200k miles unlike my previous GMC.
Great vid... thanks for sharing!
Wow nice outback!
Looks great....go Ford
PS....call that blue anything you want Ford we know that it's Ford Logo Blue lol
same blue as my 2002 Ford Focus. Back then it was called "Malibu Blue"
No headroom included at no charge for taller drivers.
i owned 2014 Escape 2.0 Ecoboost Titanium.
+Jan Bartos and i'm sure the CR-V would be much more reliable for the long haul also
Brooo... y u no show the back space for storage capacity
its pretty good i have a 2016
pbbeast how much bigger than a prius? The normal one. Not the C or V. And not the latest shape. The shape which is of 2013
+Anas Nazeer
Your Prius (I Assume) has; 21.6 ft³; The 2016 Ford Escape With The rear Seats Folded Down Has 67.8 ft³;. So 3X The Space Of said Prius
That looks like a Subaru Outback at 6:00
are these SUVs fitted with CVTs?
No way this 2.0 turbo does 14 second quater mile at 92 mph. Its a rocket ship in sport mode and in Awd drive model. Shawn
naturally aspirated engine is 2.5 not 2.0
is this the same as Kuga in Europe?
does 2017 fix the poor crash test result?
We'll find out. Hopefully they do!
Why does it has the old fashioned key?
+Nicolas Alonzo To operate the old-fashioned locks❓
what about diesel one.
Who at Ford thought it would be a good idea to make it so to change the battery you have to remove the air box first to get to the battery.
I would not buy the escape for just that reason alone. Regardless if i paid someone else to work on the car. Idiots.
Most cars have the battery above the passenger front wheel below the air box. Where would you put it it's wall to wall engine. Shawn
Sad to see the E-brake thing. I prefer a real cable, much safer.
2.7 from the new Fusion would be boss
I love the new Ford escape!
Price
You guys don't even open the hatch on an SUV review?
dllemm They gave the cubic footage stats right?
I'm interested in the dimensions, I found another video that shows it better.
The front facia is much look like the hyundai santa fe.
Agreed. Way too similar.
Turbos will Crap out! More Cost Burden to the consumer!
Change your oil and use a quaitlty oil filter. Mobil 1 5w30. Shawn
does anyone know the song that they play in this video?
The Stop/Start feature... Yeah, I don't like that.
Cole Sisler my wife just bought a 17 titanimum edtion you can turn off that feature auto shut off feature
Aviator Guy Okay. That's pretty cool. It's a good looking vehicle. My dad has a 2015 Titanium. What do you drive?
I have a 2011 Raptor
Aviator Guy SWEET!! Nice wheels, man! I'm a Jeep guy, myself.
i love wranglers had 3 of them. I do miss my 04 Rubi that thing would go through anything and with the inline 6 it was bullet proof
I like this car a lot and I don't know why.
Cuz it's AWSOME!!!
You remind me of that dad from Modern Family
He does sounds like him
just a question guys why they change the cars name from a country to another
Ford sell it as escape but here in Morocco and I think in Europe too they call it "kuga" !!!!!!!!
stupid name don't you think? ??
if you wanna check it out go to: www.ford.ma
+mehdi mouaily That sometimes happens. A lot of cars are sold as different names in different markets. Hyundai for example uses number designations everywhere except North America, where the cars have names.
+1guyin10 yes right but escape is much nicer than kuga also the previous generation of the fusion was cold mandeo here but the 2016 model is called fusion
www.quora.com/Why-do-car-companies-sell-the-same-car-under-different-model-names-in-different-countries
+Two-Face thanks buddy but it's not totally convincing
Looks like a Subaru....I guess they wanted to catch some of that Forester market. I'd still buy a Forester before I get a Ford Escape. Cheaper, more reliable, better looking, and a better resale value by far.
39k for top of the line small suv? Holy shit balls.
That's a turn off to only get the 2.5 in front whee drive only. Most people who I assume would buy this live in a climate that gets snow.
The 2.5 is the shitty base engine, so it gets base drivetrain
+patrick jackson they are rust buckets up here
The seats in Ford Explorer are horrendous, good thing I rented a car
for full month before I made my decision. Whoever designed it was either
for their own behind or never took a car for long drive - stay away. I
wonder Ford Escape has the same problem. Truly most uncomfortable seats.
Are you fat? Cause I'm skinny and LOVE my wife's seats in her 2011 Explorer
The stop start can be disabled.
Looks like a Subaru from the back
and the front grill plus headlights
+malcolmmcbchen yup
At least the 2017 Forester has been refreshed, after Subaru saw the refresed 2017 Ford Escape looking almost similar.
+troybballin14 Subaru will make that Ford eat dust all day
+Ibrahim Alakeel it does. the front looks like an outback
