  • Tina and I show how the Sidewall and roof are constructed in the Forest River Rockwood/Flagstaff RV plant. We were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the entire process from Mitch. We filmed the tour during a production day to provide the full experience, so please excuse some of the high-pitched noise.

    Thanks for the video, I would love to see a video on how they plumb the Rockwood/flagstaff RV'S . I hate to bring this up cuz I really love rockwood RV'S but there is a RV inspector on TH-cam called Rigor RV repair and he says the majority of the RVs on the market are not plumbed correctly which can be a major problem seeing that water is the biggest threat to RVs, I hope somebody at Rockwood would watch his videos and if they are Plumbing incorrectly I hope they would be willing to correct it , from what I understand from watching his videos the cost is minimal to do it correctly. I'm not trying to be critical cuz I really love Rockwood / Flagstaff RVs but I do think it's worth looking into. Thanks for another informative video.

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just recently watched that Rigor RV video, someone posted it on FB. He is spot on with manufacturers using the wrong fittings with flex tubing. I know Rockwood/ Flagstaff is working on a solution to the connection issues. This is another reason why I like Rockwood/ Flagstaff. When issues are discovered they work quickly on a resolution. This is the worst way to make a roof. So loud when it rains. a small acorn hitting the roof at night wakes you up. Can't believe this design passed to be good enough for production.

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The roof is 1/4’ ply on top of high density block foam with aluminum structure. Would you prefer wood frame and fiberglass insulation? Keep in mind water leaks, Rockwood Flagstaff’s roofs are rot resistant. The other will suck it’s up like a sponge. We like the sound of rain hitting the roof, it helps us sleep. Appreciate you watching & commenting.

    • @daver153
      @daver153 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a Rockwood Minilite. A light rain sounds like a heavy hailstorm inside. An acorn falling at night is so loud inside that it will wake you up. A friends Jayco, with fiberglass insulation and wood rafters is much quieter
      , hardly tell its raining. Keep it sealed and it wont leak or rot.
