This was my second Windows phone (and also last - first one was the LG Optimus 7 - which was also my first smart phone ever) and I loved this thing, really wish Microsoft would have kept Windows Phone going. I was definitely in the minority with one of these phones, 1st party app support basically never ended up existing and by the end of it I really felt I was missing out compared to Apple and Android phones.
Never did end up trying out one of the newer Lumia devices and instead got an iPhone 6 Plus, but if Microsoft ever ends up reentering the phone market again (and no not like the Surface Duo - I mean like a real actual Phone OS) then I'll definitely pick one up.
He's just amazing. Unbiased, great reviews, not like the other two. *Yes, I'm complaining* I personally love videos with prerecorded narrations, its just cleaner and much better to the ear and visually pleasing.

1- Already there, will be implemented in the GDR2 update (the hardware is there but the software isn't yet)
2- there's an EQ, it is under Settings/Audio , however would love to see it in the music app itself
3- you can find HDR Lenses in the WP store,
these are all software things, and might be added in future updates

@ pocketnow does this phone work on tmobile 3g in the US? specifically the 899m unlocked model?
You can´t install apps on sd cards on wp8. They can be used to story all your media though (music, mics and vídeos) as well as documents if i´m not mistaken.
Hi Michael, Can you please explain how microsd storage works on WP8? I've heard that you cannot instal apps to the sd and I've also heard that the microsd can be set as the default storage for when you take pictures and download music from xbox music. So if thats the case then that would be a plus for me since I frequently fight for storage due to photos and music on my current phone forcing me to delete music/photos to install a new app (samsung focus 8gb)
I've been using one of these since 2013 and only tomorrow am I replacing it. I found the Windows Phone experience lacklustre, and I see Microsoft have dropped it now (rightfully so). However as a device i've been very happy with the Ativ S, and it still works to this day. Some minor screen burn at this time of it's life and the battery has of course seen better days, but it is to date the best phone i've used (until tomorrow when I get my new phone).

I think that we are kind of agreeing here. But the back of the lumia 920 can´t really break in the same way the galaxy does, so there is no need for replacing. Overall the 920 is (as you said) much more resistant to drops than pretty much any other smartphone.
Loving Mike's reviews. I wonder why they keep him in the pocket now basements though. Surely he's earned his way up into the boardrooms with Brandon where there's sunlight and air.

It's a shame that Microsoft is working closer with Samsung but almost never took off the Windows phone on Samsung devices.

You almost got it right;
Ativ S: Good camera, Large display with good contrast but otherwise average display, AMOLED, removable battery, reasonable design, average build quality, expandable storage.
Lumia 920: Awesome Camera, Awesome display (best sensitivity, outdoor visibility, refresh rate), IPS LCD, Amazing build quality and extremelly beautiful design.
WP8X; Good camera, good display (4.3 is not small... just smaller) with highest ppi, great design,good build quality also beautiful design

i got dis phone 4 christmas and its super light and super fast, i compared it with my brothers phone an iphone 4s and da ativ s is 4 seconds faster than da 4s, then i compared it with my mums phone an iphone 5s and its 1 second faster than da 5s, im really glad i got dis phone thnks mum and dad XD
He should play Iron Man in IRON MAN 5 at least.Downey Jr. is getting old.And we have the best successor here on pocketnow.Thanks for the review Mr. Stark. :-)

No no no, the build quality is not even close, they are not both polycarbonate. It is very does very different to have a polycarbonate batery cover than it is to have a full polycarbonate unibody design. Just check the drop tests for the galaxy s3 and the Lumia 920 to see the difference. Also the portico update has made the Lumia camera as good in daylight as nightime.
You made me laugh. :D. But anyway you can root your android and then flash a wp8 rom if you want and im pretty sure it'll be on par with wp. Hope it helps
