Does Tree Service Wood Make Good Firewood? I got lucky here

Today I'm at a buddies lot, I trade him the years grass cutting for trees that he takes down. Ill be doing all my own cutting and gathering which is what I prefer to do anyways. I know I'll be cutting at 16" lengths. Got Alot of nice cherry out of the deal for a few hours of work. Goona make some beautiful firewood. It's a win win in my book. From South Africa: Subscribed to most firewood "suppliers" in the USA. Our country have a very small limited group of firewood suppliers. Anything goes, no law's to control the provider (types of wood, condition, length, dryness, etc.), sold at high prizes. I envy the firewood users in the USA for the quality wood and services they receive! Keep up the good work, I already know it is not a huge money provider and every piece of free wood is appreciated by you. God Bless

Free tree service wood is always great when you can get it. Perhaps you could get a deal worked out where they deliver it to your wood yard. Depending on distance, it's really not much extra work for the tree service to do that. Saves them unloading in their yard. Of course tree service people don't think in terms of firewood when cutting it into rounds. So you're still going to get some off cuts left over.

definitely an option, only a couple miles away but I'd rather make the sawdust mess there. Less cleanup for me 😁😁😁
