    Looks good, will be doing the same to my 21 Tacoma, thanks for sharing.

    Great video!
    I have a '20 Taco with Leer canopy and Prinsu cab rack on the truck, and Prinsu top rack on my Leer, just like your setup, love it!
    BUT, it seems I have about 0.5" difference between the top of the cab rack and top of the top rack. Cab rack is about 1/2" below the top rack. Not too worried as I don't think I will attach stuff to both (other than long lumber from time to time for short trip home from hardware store).
    Your two racks appear to line up nicely, but no clear video from that. Do you have a height difference between the two racks?

    I’m looking at the same cap/rack setup on my Tacoma. I have a dog kennel that I need to account for. Any idea what the interior height is, from the bed to the roof for that cap? I need 33”

      Hey, I don’t have it anymore so I can’t measure for you but I am almost positive you will easily have 33”

    So when ordering, I should add the Leer mounting feet? I have a Leer topper and thule bars that i'd like to replace with this.

    Nice truck! I have a quicksand as well with an ARE CX HD shell. Could you tell me how far the mounting brackets are on the prinsu center to center going front to back. I looks like the are adjustable side to side? Trying to figure out if I could make the prinsu work with the HD bars. Thanks!

      Thank you!!! The feet are stationary but the mounting brackets and rails can kind of slide where needed.

      Did the prinsu fit up okay with the CX HD?!

    Mine “ARE” cap had original Yakima bar. So I reused their bolts which were stainless steel. And they had square nuts in there as well, so no need to remove end caps, so to speak

      @@Overlandtravel_adventures sweet, thinking about getting one for my roof rack. thanks!

    What is the height of the rack, measured from the rail slot to top of rack? Can't find anything on Prinsu website?

  • @rogerhart1835
    @rogerhart1835 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm getting the Leer shell and since I have the Sherpa rack on the cab, I'll be using Sherpa rack on cap. I like the look.

    • @jasonbateman1912
      @jasonbateman1912 ปีที่แล้ว

      How are you mounting the Sherpa to the tracks on the Leer cap? I have the Sherpa on my Tacoma roof but I dont know how I could do the rack on the Thule tracks Leer is installing.

    • @rogerhart1835
      @rogerhart1835 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonbateman1912 I'll be using the roof track anchor plates Sherpa has to mount their rack.

    Rig is looking great. Are the thule bars rated for a rtt? How much are you looking to sell those for?

    • @Overlandtravel_adventures
      @Overlandtravel_adventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!!
      I have seen many with them with rtt but def do some research. I’d let them go with the feet for like $75 prolly

    Hey, I’m looking for a set of Thule racks if you still have them. I just bought a leer 180 for my tundra. Please let me know. Thanks.

    My tracks are about 1/4 or so too far apart. My brackets on prinsu cap rack are all the way to the edges and it's too short to bolt up. Anyone else have this issue

  • @svporqueno

    So when you order the Leer, what option is best for the rack up top in terms of the rails so you can install the Prinsu?

    • @MikeR55
      @MikeR55 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just order the roof tracks as an option with your new topper. (about $300) They work with Thule or Yakima racks or in this case Prinsu.

    Hey brutha Nice content. Tough doing an install and video when ya can’t feel your fingers 🤣. I live in Mass and we are getting snow ❄️ tonight Feb. 1st. I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD off road, also in Quicksand. Would love to do a similar set up with the Prinsu’s, however for now I am just rawkin’ a hard tri fold cover. My truck is a currently a lease and not sure if I wanna keep it for my base vehicle to pour $$ into as my overlanding rig. So much easier to add bigger wheels and tires to a JLU or Gladiator. (Of which I did take a test drive in both) What are your thoughts on this and do you prefer the Taco set up over your 4 Runner? New to your channel. Keep up the great work. Thanks

      Lol absolutely. Got to recruit my wife to help but no way she was standing out there with me lol!
      Mine is a lease currently too. Everything I have done is fully reversible, I haven’t decided either with what I want to do. I loved my 4Runner, and I mean LOVED. But needed more space for camping etc. now we have upgraded to a small camper I don’t really have the same need for a truck bed anymore. Only way I would switch at this point would be for a 16’ quicksand 4Runner. I like the color way too much!

    Love the setup! What length prinsu rack did you purchase? Also did you have to purchase leer specific mounting feet?

    • @Overlandtravel_adventures
      @Overlandtravel_adventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a short bed topper option, I purchased from Explore Overland and Derrick there helped me make sure I had the right one!

    This really should of never been released. It's horrible...terrible. ok...A for effort but it's just a waste. Put the feet on...slide the bolts onto the beams and mate them up. Use your hardware with your top....good lord...the first time you dig a small trench into your skull...you'll know why. Also...the kit/install is missing lock tight. This was so painful to watch.
