Nahh there's no overdrive guitar it's all synths I agree it is by far the best version. born 77 so again baised. I think it gallops along and makes you think WOW even though the tempo is identical to the original
Oh fuck this brings back memories! Surely the greatest Doctor Who theme of all time. Far superior to the crapy theme's they used on the reboot. Bring this back! It needs the chuging of the guitar and synthesiser!

Its amazing that they have kept the same theme music all of these years when shows tend to change them and not always for the best.
I listen to this song more than regular music. Is that bad? lol

If i recall correctly it was a woman from the BBC music department who wrote this. Can`t remember her name. Wonderful piece of music :)

thats were your wrong this tune was actually only made by a couple of synthesizers, a broken phase box and of course the sound recording equipment

I agree about the '64 version being better, but I can't hear any guitar in this version.
