Hi , it would be cool to see more of a full range of motion test. Also review after a half year or some time would be cool. Like if it doesnt breake or if the gass spring don't breake. Cool material, but you can do second review now to maybe let people know about those two things, because i was particurairly looking for that. Also if the screw dont get loose in a place where you mount it to the desk. This are technicall details which you can know only after you get equipment like that. So i would definiatelly apprecaite seeing those in a video :) and im looking forward to video about that ;)
The easier way to clamp the arm on your desk was perhaps joining the two clamp part (with the two small screws) prior to fixing it on your desk. Thereafter, taking the entire assembly together and tightening the clamp screw until the mounting is sturdy. Nice arm though.
thank you so much for this tutorial and how thorough you were. i have this monitor and this mount, and since the adapter situation on the back of this monitor + my issues in the past with monitor mounts, i wasn't feeling super confident about installation. this really eased my fears and everything looks great!! you rock!

Thanks for the video... I have the same Sceptre monitor and am going with a similar monitor arm. Just got my Apex Desk assembled and even with the electric lift I found that I still need a height adjustable monitor arm.
i didn't know how to adjust the spring, i was kinda bummed out and was looking for another arm to hold my 34 inch monitor. Thank you, you saved me few $
I appreciate the compliments! Believe it or not I just invested in a single lens that’s worth more than my camera! Season two is going to raise the bar again!
You should enjoy it. Remember to tighten the tension settings to keep heavier monitors raised up - there is an Allen screw I should in the video. Looking forward to Season 2 coming soon!
Great vid, but just one gripe. It would be nice if you would show the full extension and rotation of the stand. After watching the video I’m still unsure if I can bring the monitor as far forward as I’d like.
I appreciate the feedback Malek! The arm does have amazing forward movement - if you look at the angles of the individual arms, it does move straight forward about 12”? Shoot me an email and I’ll send you a picture!
Thank you for the video! exactly what I needed! I am trying to look for something under $50, would this one be your best recommendation? My only two concerns are the stability and the ability to be parallel with the wall since I want the monitor to take the least amount of space possible

This helped me SO MUCH installing my AVLT-DM03-1 single arm desk mount. However, mine came with a 'cable' that lamely shows me how to thread it through the cable management cover, but once I get the cable through the two covers I'm not sure if I have to secure them to something on the monitor and on the clamp? Do you have any videos on that type of install? Thanks again for this complete video, especially the part about adjusting the tension - game changer for me!
I just bought a dual arm version of the same cheap arm and after purchasing read some reviews. They were horror stories, but usually people don't elaborate on things they did incorrectly. I'm a little worried but your video just made me more confident. Thanks:) Maybe I'll do an install and review video also. You get a sub for being chill. Take care:)

What’s the range of motion for the VESA amount itselft? 180°? I’m trying to get my monitor flush with the back of my desk because my current stand pushed it out too much. Your content quality is great by the way.

Just bought the 2 arm one with your affiliate. Originally I was looking for arms that sit flush against the wall so I won't need to bring my table back, this looks like just that.
@@TheNetGuy They're definitely solid but I really should've bought the 1 arm twice rather than the 2 arm. Doesn't sit as nice with the wall but hey it works. Thanks for the tutorial by the way.
Basically came to see what kind of Vesa the Specter came with as I'm considering it as a upgrade from my current 2560x1080 LG for the higher refresh rate and low frame compensation.
wish you played around with the monitor at the end, instead of playing games, I wonder how much movement it has and if it can be stretched more so I can watch movies from my bed.
I’ve got one coming from Sceptre. 27”, quad HD (2560x1440), IPS, FreeSync and 165hz I believe. The big thing is the IPS for color accuracy. I’ve got a data color Spyder Elite color meter/calibrator on my desk at home ready to test it when it arrives. What kind of video editing do you do?

Hey! I was wondering if this would last long, I've seen some reviews about how the monitor was laying on their desk because the arm broke within a 2-3 week period
Oh my goodness I thought your beard was fake. Sorry sorry sorry. In other news I built my 29 dollar Sarah Connor terminator arm...er mountup monitor arm as you were building yours. This was incredibly important. Display wise, I only had a 43 scepter, and two 52 inch TCls monitors (none over three hundred dollars!) as my primary display for my gel mesh serta 4x recliner workstation. It was like living in a cave. Obviously I needed an additional 32 inch scepter moniter for folders and what not. Now I never have to alt tab! Oh and I have a mini air conditioning floor unit I call Artoo Detoo which I've set up so when my recliner is reclining, I can move the vents with my toes. I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it this way. It's just better and not excessive in the least bit.
Just bought this but my monitor is unleveled. The sliding bracket that holds the monitor and attached to the monitor arm has too much play between it. Very unfortunate because I like the price of the monitor arm
Question, what is the size of the circular clamp that clamps underneath the table? I have a glass table that has a 1 1/2 wide metal bar underneath that is there to reinforce the table and am worried that the circular clamp is too big or won’t hold my monitor up properly because it may be bigger/wider than the 1 1/2 inch bar underneath my table. Btw good review. Keep up the good work. Thanks in advance.👍
I’ll absolutely check first thing in the morning for you (it’s 1am now and I just finished a code deploy for my day job). My guess is that it’s a little over 1.5”, but a small piece a rubber from a bike tire might soften the clamping and price great stability. More in the morning pacific time!
Just watched this vid. Very informative and relevant even 3 years after filming. I noticed a slight oopsie at 13:18 where the VESA mount is only secured by two screws, with the other two loose. Paused and replayed to confirm this @TheNetGuy I hope the monitor was still secure?
Yeah this VESA mount and monitor don’t play well since it’s an adapter with a center stud. Been loving their mounts ever since. This was two studios and three years ago 😜
I randomly found this in my recommended and surpassingly I had the same monitor , I hope you still respond to comments and if you do, do you have a link to the adapter you used for the monitor or is it included with the stand?
Hey Swami! Glad to have you here. The adapter is in the monitor box. If you lost it or can’t find it, check with a Sceptre and they’ll send you a new one.
Monitor arm is convenient ✨ I also use two monitors with monitor arms attached. The video was also very easy to understand! I also studied videos. Thank you. With love from Japan :)
I watch this to research how the gas strut stands function. I'm trying to decide if the gas strut feature is worth the additional money. How are you liking this stand? Do you find it more convenient than the traditional hinged stands?
Morning Nathan! Gas monitor arms are by far my favorite kind. Full range of motion and adjustability means you have ultimate flexibility of your setup. Mount Pro and ATUMTEK make some of the nicest ones. Single, dual and triple. If you check out some of my other videos on the channel I’ve reviewed several models and did an hour+ live stream 👍
@@TheNetGuy Thank you for your insight. I can't remember what they call it but do you recommend products through amazon where you get revenue for purchases? If you do I would be happy to use your links.
hows it holding up after two years? i have a 32" monitor weighing in at 14.33lbs so right at the max weight for this arm.. i;ve heard these budget arms are prone to failing at the gas strut where it will no longer support the weight of the monitor after a year or so? what's been your experience so far?
Yes, the VESA adapter plate comes in the monitor box. Don’t lose it in the packaging! If you use the amazon link in the video description it helps this channel and doesn’t cost you any more. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Take a look at my ATUMTEK follow up video too if you think you may ever run duals. It’s a great stand also. Thanks for watching and commenting! Welcome aboard!

I’ll absolutely check first thing in the morning for you (it’s 1am now and I just finished a code deploy for my day job). My guess is that it’s a little over 1.5”, but a small piece a rubber from a bike tire might soften the clamping and price great stability. More in the morning pacific time!
Thanks for the video.
What's the minimum depth of the arm from the wall to the front edge of the monitor ?
Thanks
Brilliant video was a bit skeptical on buying it but after this video anymore.
Great value for the money. I really need to do a monitor arm special!
World class ASMR content.
Monitor arm is convenient ✨
I also use two monitors with monitor arms attached.
The video was also very easy to understand! I also studied videos. Thank you. With love from Japan :)
wishing u a happy and long life!
🙏
I like your gaming set up! Do you mind if I ask the specs of your pc?
Yeah it’s an AMD Ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB DDR4, 1 TB NVME boot/active gaming drive and 2 TB 7200 RPM game storage drive. And of course a Sceptre C30.
Yep, Amazon.com/shop/thenetguy - enjoy!
thank you dude your a cool dude your video helped me and my mom fix our problem thanks
hows it holding up after two years? i have a 32" monitor weighing in at 14.33lbs so right at the max weight for this arm.. i;ve heard these budget arms are prone to failing at the gas strut where it will no longer support the weight of the monitor after a year or so? what's been your experience so far?
Great video. I was thinking about getting the monitor and the mount. Does the adapter of the Monitor come with the monitor??
Yes, the VESA adapter plate comes in the monitor box. Don’t lose it in the packaging! If you use the amazon link in the video description it helps this channel and doesn’t cost you any more. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Have the same monitor thanks for the video extremely helpful!!
Thanks for watching! Hopefully I did it justice.
excellent review I about to buy monitor which needs to be mounted with this arm!
I subscribed the moment I saw your bob ross T shirt. But his fro was more real than your beard.
Aweeeeeee I’m workin on it!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm buying a monitor stand that is identical to this. Thanks for making it
Thanks for watching Tyler! Other great videos coming, Season 2 drops on Wednesday!
Thank you I was looking for a mount for this monitor:)
Take a look at my ATUMTEK follow up video too if you think you may ever run duals. It’s a great stand also. Thanks for watching and commenting! Welcome aboard!
Not annoying background music. Have a like.
I know right!?
I really liked the way he is presenting..
Very enjoyable to watch!
Love your profile icon too!
