Love the sketches from imagination. That’s where the true eye of the artist translates since is what the head has kept as truly interesting for himself.
Oh man I can't wait to see this one. I'm really growing a big interest in drawing faces and I really owe it to you. Loved your style, your videos, a little bit of the stream I caught and it's really building of some strong curiosity to dive into it all :D You're awesome man!
Lovely video. Pencil portraits are my favourite…some lovely pieces 😊. You are very open and transparent about your learning process. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to share your experience, I just started to drawing faces ,watching many TH-cam, reading ,trying to understand from internet, you are very good and a example for me once again thank you for sharing your experience, I learning now from you and a the best ,success to you . Stay safe . 😊
Thanks for the personal tour through your sketchbook and your thought process! Definitely gonna do the 100 heads challenge now :D Grüße aus Hamburg |m|
where did you find such diverse references? I am defiantly going to do the 100 heads challenge you talked about bc I have the same problem you did thanks for the help.
I've been practising drawing faces for over a year now but im still not proud or confident of it i feel like the proportions are off, the structure of the face don't look right and i cant get the right values when shading. Do you mind sharing what books you read or videos you watch for you to get on this level? i really love your sketches the simple yet looks polished, the shape design and the way you apply values looks very appealing. Thank you for sharing. I will definitely do this challenge, you're extremely talented and skilled artist, i can't imagine the time and effort you spent to get to that level, thank you for inspiring us 🔥
Hey thanks for the kind words. I have not really looked in to books for faces. It was more drawing everytime everywhere I go. Trying to observe and understand is really important. And then practice of course ☺️
@@Janos.ArtzoneYes sir. We are to support. ahmm and I just one to send you my sketch to have a feedback if its possible sir. if you have extra time. thanks
Hi. I have a question. Which type of drawing would be good to master if I am going to switch to digital anyways? Would it be better to practise traditional pencil drawings or it would be more logical to use pens or liners etc.?
That’s a good question! The ability to draw out your thoughts and ideas as precise as possible on paper is a unbeatable skill. You never know when u don’t have a digital device to draw on with u. Nothing beats pen on paper. In my experience the better u get on paper the better u also become digitally. So practice both to keep yourself flexible. Pencil is a good tool to start because beginners tend to do more mistakes and need the option to earse. Liners and pens are great for speed but need a bit more confidence and exp in your drawing abilities. 😊
Subbed!! am currently chaining 100days challenge into 30days then again another thing to study for 30days or so once am done with some of it I'll try this one too thank you for your clear and concise explanation
Hiii I used B2-B6 from Faber Castel they where pretty good but eventually I switched to mechanical pencils because I'm too lazy to erase 😂 I also have my supplies under the TH-cam videos 🌟☀️
Thank you! I guess I focused here on questioning every drawing and try to improve the appearance of these heads. It bother me so much that my head drawings where so bad that I wanted to figure out how to improve them.
Practice makes perfect, but none are perfect, so we are always practicing. Enjoyed the video. Did you leave any notes as to what each head’s proportions are, ie how far apart the nose is from the eyes, where on the head one finds the eyebrows or the lips? Would like to see what you have in your figure drawing sketch book. Good work. -OkieSketcher1949
Thanks Syed :) Good question ! Because I made the experience the better I get with traditional, the better I become with digital drawing. Also traditional is even faster than traditional so I like to use it as a starting point for my work :) Hope this awnsers your question !
@@Janos.Artzone yes perfectly answered. I feel we require face anatomy studied to draw from Imagination hehe atm I could draw bugs from Imagination u know my drill 🤣
