If tech can just keep a freaking qb healthy the entire season, and not be riding the 2nd and 3rd string through the middle of the conference schedule (like they’ve done the past 8 seasons) I think they’ll surprise a lot of people.

I think Texas Tech has less starters back from last year, than any other Big 12 team. Ok State has the most ( 22 ) back.

I believe CU 0/U is too low and here’s why. One CU brought in the best HS offensive line recruit, the best interior offensive lineman in the portal and, another top ten interior lineman in the portal. Two I believe under Shurmur they might install the zone blocking scheme which would help their linemen. If CU’s offensive line is better they will have a dangerous offense. Two CU upgraded their skill position players in a major way. Will Sheppard put up 8 tds in the SEC, Lejohntay Wester was 1st time all AAC and Chamon Metayer was a 4 star tight end prospect in the portal. Three CU has upgraded their pass rush which was lacking last year. They added Samuel Okunlola who put up 5 sacks as a freshman, BJ Green who was 2nd in the nation in pressures and, Quez Wiggins who is another 4 star transfer prospect. Fourth CU has the potential of having a great secondary. Travis Hunter is an absolute ball hawk, Preston Hodge is a great slot corner if Cormani McClain makes a big step they will have 3 great corners. On top of that Shilo Sanders was tied for first in the nation in forced fumbles. CU has the makings of a good team. A lot will be determined by the improvements up front but, I believe they can be a really good team.

Good points but I don’t think it will be this huge turn around to playoff contention that a lot of CU fans think it is going to be. Prime is a good coach but I haven’t seen anything from him at this level to suggest that he can keep up with the big dogs. The other thing is that bringing in highly touted recruits and transfers is great but the question will be do you have the coaches to bring out their best? And will they play as a good team or like last year you have a bunch of individuals that are playing for themselves? Those are big questions to try and answer with yet another brand new team and brand new coaches.

Let’s fast forward to the season..
Colorado has a deep secondary, new oline, dline and a very deep WR room with an All American QB… I like 8 plus wins especially if most of their pieces are stay healthy.

Utah is king. Best staff, and the most consistent team out of everyone in this conference. They play big10 caliber defense already, and have for years. If that team can learn to stay healthy again...No shot they'll get passed. Give it time and they'll be the Ohio State of the big 12.

I appreciate all the respect Utah is getting this early in the year but they still have to go out win that projected 9.5.
Utah has shown they can struggle on the road against even average teams so I have my reservations @OSU, @Colorado and @UCF.
The @Colorado game will be played a week after the 'rivalry' game v. BYU so Utah could be mentally and physically drained heading into Boulder because after all... It's BYU's "Super Bowl."
    GO UTES!

It amazing that CU, unorthodox methods can’t sustain the quality of players needed to compete. You constantly push, he’s not staying, why? Old School doesn’t like what he’s doing. When he stays, builds a constant winner his way, will you ever give him the credit deserved 🤷🏾‍♂️doubt that will happen. Any media continuing to push this narrative, I’m done with the channels💯 That’s why I respect how on3, does business💯

If Utah was playing Arizona on the road again this year, I'd have my doubts about Utah's chances, hence why I think they drop the game against Oklahoma State. Unfortunately for Arizona, they're coming to SLC. Utah has only lost one game in SLC since 2018 with fans in the stands and that was against a loaded Oregon team with Bo Nix and Utah was severely injured.

Texas Tech has never won a conference championship since joining the old SWC. The best they have done in the past 70 years or so is split between three to four other teams for SWC championship; and by the way, in both years that happened if the SWC had a conference championship game, they would not have been able to qualify. Houston and Texas in one year and TCU and Texas would have been the other year. Not hating, just saying. My prediction of order of conference finish and overall performance finish combined:
    1. Utah 11-2 CCG winner
    2. West Virginia 10-3 CCG loser
    3. Kansas 9-3
    4. Oklahoma State 9-3
    5. UCF 9-3
    6. Kansas State 8-4
    7. TCU 8-4
    8. Houston 7-5
    9. Arizona 7-5
    10. Texas Tech 6-6
    11. BYU 6-6
    12. Iowa State 5-7
    13. Arizona State 5-7
    14. Colorado 5-7
    15. Baylor 5-7
    16. Cincinnati 5-7
The good news is that you don’t have any garbage awful teams. Bad news is that you don’t have any globe conquering amazing teams. The Big12 will get one bid at the most this season in 12-team playoffs. Now worse case scenario is that your conference championship game features two teams with 8-9 wins and no one else has over 9 wins. If you remove the records of Texas and Oklahoma from this 2023 season, no other Big12 team finished the regular season with 10 wins and only OkSt had 9, as everyone else had 8 wins or fewer. Not good.
For those who want to troll me here and other podcast channels and platforms because I am right and correct about all things concerning this, here is more important information about the Big12. So false narrative is Big12 belongs because TCU got to the Natty. The truth, TCU was fraudulent as was KST as both teams got destroyed by two SEC teams. It gets worse: Baylor crushed by Air Force, Kansas lost to a mediocre Arkansas, Iowa State was demolished by Memphis, Kansas State lost to Navy a couple of years ago. Texas Tech vs the state of Mississippi and California are pretty good but anyone else as bowl opponents, not so much.
I do this because some knucklehead chose a handful of wins over the other P5/4 teams in bowl games over the years and left out some glaring weaknesses and embarrassing results. If Big12 wants to say that they can compete with the Super 2, that’s fine. But don’t act like you are as good as Super 2 and vastly superior to the G5, when that is not the case. Are the ACC and Big12 better than the G5? Yes. But are they fighting for the same rights and respect and access and privileges and thus cannot kick the G5 to the curb once the other 2 A4 conferences have an inroad? Yes to that too. Strength in numbers and numbers in strength.

@@jarhead1031don’t sleep on West Virginia. I actually have Utah vs West Virginia for the CCG, and Utah winning it at 11-2. I think UCF if completely healthy on both sides of the ball will be difficult out and could make CCG. I anticipate my Alma Mater will go 7-5 with Fritz at the helm. Over in the AAC, not that you care about, but I expect Memphis and Navy to play for all the marbles with the winner getting in for G5 slot; and depending upon the conference as a whole and other G5 conferences, could see in year one two G5 schools get in and maybe two Big12.
