We’re not a top 25 team, as much as that hurts. I love Coach Beamer and will never change that posture, but the truth is he’s got some serious pressure this year, to win big. Our baseball program is quickly getting back to being a premiere team. Men’s basketball had a great season despite some very bleak preseason predictions. Our vaunted women’s basketball team is now a legacy brand, with 3 titles in 7 years. At this point Beamer must win. Can’t use injuries and talent quality anymore because our recruiting is pretty decent, and it’s not talent that’s the issue; it’s our inability to develop that talent and create a sustainable process. Shouldn't preseason rankings only be based off the team themselves and not who they will face? Unless you're trying to predict what the end Top 25 will look like, I don't see the reasoning for including potential matchups in ranking analysis
It’s another thing that can fuel the Sooners, just let the media be skeptical of OU. They will perform better than what everyone is expecting. How much better? Idk! But I expect OU to be better than predicted.
Georgia at Texas is gonna be wild. LET'S GO TEXAS!!! 🤘HOOK EM!!!!🤘

Where would you rank Ohio State if they had the same schedule as OU? Ranking a team based on schedule strength isn’t a good metric on how good a team is going to be.
A team that is 8-4 won't make the playoffs, going 11-1 will. The ONLY thing that matters now is being in the top 12.
Ohio state has the best roster of they had Carson beck & didn’t win the natty the HC needs to be fired!
Utah will be the toughest place to play, especially because of the high elevation, and most footballers aren't used to that thin air. Hope to see Utah as a national champion finally this year.
Nebraska will surprise some people
Not against Colorado
I agree...Their issues last year were 100% turnover related. -Joel

I hold hope but if we experience another 5-7 season, or even a 6-6 year then truthfully we’re going in circles and it’s not getting easier in the SEC.
Go Utes❤
Great job Joel. Agree with almost every slot.

If Texas can get serviceable replacements for Sweat and Murphy, improve their edge rushing and improve the secondary then they can live up to the ranking. I'm really concerned about the secondary. The talent is there, but I'm not at all sold on how that talent is coached up. I wish we'd have been able to get Akina back in the fold, but we'll just have to make do with what we have.
