Im an OU guy, but it does sadden me to see Nick Sabans Run at Alabama come to an end. I really hope Bama can get back up there, I would have loved to see an SEC championship with my Sooners vs a Saban led Bama team. Yes i know we're in a lucky spot to get in the SEC while bama is a little down. But Bama never really rebuilds. Saban has been stacking talent for years and years. Just because Saban is out doesn't mean the whole roster is. It really will come down to coaching. Bama should have plenty of pieces. Im just hoping Brent Venables has enough depth for my Sooners heading in. We could use 1 more year of recruiting and strength and conditioning to be totally comfortable. But i believe Coach Venables has enough to get started. Were not 4 deep in everything. But were getting to a solid 3, some positions maybe only be 1.5 deep. Some are 5 or even more deep of solid talent. If luck goes a little our way, we could make some noise in year 1 of the SEC. I think we will surprise a few teams. And i think we will be surprised by a few teams too. This season is going to be so freaking entertaining! I cant wait. Best year of college football most of us will ever see. @@kevinibin83The schedule was easy for average teams.
Then you take into account that northwestern lost their long tenured head coach just a couple months before the season........ Still had the majority of the players that went 1-11 and as a matter of fact took very few transfers.
Then to top all that off you have to remember that their academic standards are the highest in the Big ten which means they can never really get the elite of the elite athletes.
In other words there a school for nerds that can't recruit, so while the schedule was easy, for average teams anyway......... Nothing last year was easy for northwestern.
@timebomb42 Sir, switch Our schedule with NORTHWESTERN they wouldn't have won 2 games. Can Northwestern beat Oregon? USC? ARIZONA? WASHINGTON STATE? NEBRASKA? UTAH? STOP WASTING MY TIME ⏲️
@@kevinibin83 I never denied that northwestern schedule was easy...... I am simply saying that their roster was far worse than Colorado's.
So to them their schedule looked a lot tougher.
Colorado schedule was incredibly difficult last year and I don't think you'll find anyone in the country that will deny that, I mean come on three Heisman trophy contenders in the same conference that's a recipe for disaster.
I was just pointing out that there was a LOT of variables to be taken into account when comparing those two records other than just the schedule.
12:50 I dont think Lanning would be a good culture fit as the head of Alabama, i am taking nothing away from him but Alabama is the standard and exudes a energy that Saban has established of no mistakes and being the best out performing your own limit. Lanning is right where he is and he can build the program how he wants and still win, conquer with the ability to win it all.
“They don’t allow themselves to be defined by outside entities.”
No outside entities aside from Lamborghini of Austin, must be what you meant, Joel… 🙄
Texas is headed right back into the heap of mediocrity, regardless of its brand appeal and cash flow. Book it
Tatum fouled twice on layup. Horford tripped, luka tackled brown. 3 calls late that went mavs way.
Lanning wasn’t offered the Bama job.
Maybe not but u best believe Alabama took a peak and made some phone calls 💯
@@southfieldtrill9690DeBoer was hired within 48 hours after Saban retired. If you think anyone else was even contacted before flying DeBoer to Tuscaloosa and finalizing a deal, you aren't very realistic
Did Joel just say Deion wasn't full of himself 😂 bros got the biggest ego in football
he’s just trying to protect him as an alumni at this point lol
@@GoatedAtNFSyou just messed what he said
Watch it again..
That's not what he said. The context was that Deion was always that way...nothing changed about him. What changed was that his personality wasn't as well received when they started to lose. And that's not unusual. For better or worse, winning excuses a lot of bad behavior.
Big facts
Colorado improved 400%…… four pennies is 400% over 1 , but it still doesn’t buy you anything. When you only win four games you still suck. So what if he was 200% over the previous season should he keep his job?
Playing with statistics when the actual numbers are historically bad doesn’t pretty good spin on it.
Don't miss and tune-in Big 10 Primetime Saturday Night: Ohio State at Oregon on NBC Sports 10/12/2024. There I said it.
Those predictions: is defense outlawed this year?
If you take anything away from this video, please know that Colorado increased its wins 300% not 400%. High school math.
Just want colon to know that I’m only watching because of Joel
Did Colin not watch USC vs ND last year? USC got completely pushed around. That was with the No. 1 pick
Pretty big predictions from a guy who doesn't even watch the games
It's not a nightmare scenario moneywise. To get the product to viewer's eyes, yes, but not the bottom line. Advertisers and networks protect themselves from a potential short series. All of these things are agreed upon with lawyers well before any games take place. This also prevents any "suspicious" activity regarding lengthening a series. Collin should know this. After all, he has a Junior Juris Doctorate.
Northwestern had an 800% increase in wins 😂
That's how much you DON'T KNOW football. Northwestern had a DISNEY WORLD SCHEDULE compared to who Colorado played. Northwestern almost lost to Howard University.
Colorado blew a 29 point lead to an awful Stanford team because they were trying to run up sheduer’s stats. That’s coaching, that’s awful.
Sounds like these boys did zero homework. Sounds like these boys don’t know Michigan has the best defense in the country.
More relevant percentage on Colorado... 33%... thats how many of their games they won total... shut up Joel....
You got a ton of Chiefs and not enough workers at Texas. Sark is a great coach but when the NIL has say over coaches it’s a problem
NiL has masked some of the inadequacies of Lanning at Oregon and Sark at Texas
CU is All Hype 24/7. They can Show-Out, but they need to SHOW-UP!!!!
Sark is so legit, he’s come full circle since his SC days. His experience w Saban was priceless. Now he has his own team and building a contender for the title. Respect 🤜🤛
And the Video game is Back! Realignment, Expanded playoff! Is this real life!
You guys are going to fit perfectly in SEC n as a Bama fan trip to Norman is one of only games I'm afraid of
They still were a 1 win pac 12 team
I hate the 400% argument it’s so dumb, you won 3 more games than the year before. It’s significantly more impressive to do that with a higher win total, but then your % increase would be lower
And a 400% increase should be 5 wins. A 100% increase would be 2 wins, etc
1:38 I feel so bad for the work😂
These guys are sleeping on Georgia. They will be stacked this year. Probably win it all. 👍🏾
Good old Colorado education. 1 wins to 4 is only 300%
Right: getting a bunch of 3 star OL men with no experience with their own teammates makes the o line better 🤣😂. CU barely makes a bowl- 6 teams AT LEAST in the BIG 12 are objectively better than them
Texas's deal where they can give each HS recruit a Lamborghini is crazy and hard to recruit against because it's hard to top!
Joel, normally you have insightful observations but your contention of 400% improvement by Deon is a stat in a vacuum. It was still was a woeful losing record after turning over a majority of the roster and Deon 'talked the talk' but did not 'walk the walk'
Klatt Vegas will take your bet on Colorado any day of the week, they will not be bowl eligible again this year !
