    Usually a logo needs to have an invisible border without any elements comming into that said border (safe zone is what it's called). Although I like the pan over the logo this would highly not pass in the real world. Also the logo will be cut in half when the package is oppened. I would suggest placing the logo either s bit below and resizing the pan or even placing it on top of the word "pancake" (of course reduce the size of the text). Lastly the overall look and feel is a bit to "happy" and less "handmade". I would add either a grainy texture to the overall design as well as desaturate the colors (especially the red. It pops a bit too much imo). The rest is top notch 👌

    minor tip i've just thought of for the lighting on the mockup. If you put a black and white filter over the starting image without the front and back words, then make that semi-transparent and layer that on top of the rest of the image, you could keep the rest of the bag's texture, adding the folds and creases to the character of the design

      I was thinking about making a shading series at some point, so it's good to know there's interest in it! What particular topics would you like me to cover?

    Very professional and straight to the point, do you keep a mind map for thinking out concepts or do you follow exactly as you do in the video?

    • @BrandonShep
      @BrandonShep  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really just depends on the project. I usually have 3 approaches though. 1) Start with a bunch of quick sketches to get ideas. 2) Start with a particular asset/idea I know I want in the design and then work from that. 3) Sometimes, the idea just pops into my head almost instantly (but it almost always changes to some degree as I work on things). Either way, I think it's hard to get an idea of if your concept will work or not until you try it out. That's why I tend to try out different assets quickly before I buy them, and I'll often setup the entire scene out of preview stock photos, get client approval on the content and layout, and then replace everything with the fully licensed photos. Saves a lot of time and money!
