Great video mate, I really enjoyed this. It's great to see a few trout in the King. I remember fishing that area in the 80s and 90s. It was a premier trout fishery back then. Amazing memories. The cormorants have been a big problem this season and trout have been much harder than normal to find.
Glad you enjoyed it Robbie, yeah it's amazing how hard I'm having to work for fish this year. We have had some Cracker years leading up to now. I'm hoping a few more fish stick their head out and play soon.
The cormorants have been a big issue here in western Victoria this season too. They breed up during wet years like the last 3 we’ve had, and then the pressure really becomes concentrated once water levels drop as they have this year. I’ve fished rivers where you’ll see over 100 fish a trip drop right back to half a dozen.
Its frustrating but I guess its unavoidable. I have heard the cormorants have learnt to follow the Vic fisheries stocking vehicles. I'm assuming this helps their population also.
Great video! I’ve been hearing about the cormorants doing a number on the Delatite and Howqua as well. Not sure why they’re such a problem all of a sudden. Cheers!

Thanks for watching!
Great to see you back on the water and catching those browns again mate, although very worrying about the cormorants destroying stocks.
Thanks mate, yeah it's a bit annoying but I think it will recover.
Nice fish!
Thanks!
