Was on a small mountain river similar to this one a just few days ago. Banks a bit more overgrown and a heap of fallen timber to climb over due to bushfires years back, but plenty of feisty fish eager to smack a dry or nymph. My favourite places fish just because they just are so stunning, wild and….solitudinous! At 60 they are getting so much harder to navigate but will keep going for as long as my knees hold out!
That brown was something special.
One of the most beautiful places to fish in the height of summer. Been up there many times swimming and fly fishing.
NE Victoria at its best! Beautiful stream and gorgeous looking fish- great fishing.
Brilliant video,Sensational country,And that spotted brown was something special, Well done all round 👌👌👌👌
Well that was technical fishing! Another cracking stream and great fishing Tom!
Gorgeous stream Tom! And interesting, technical water to fish too. Great video mate.
Lovely stuff!
If one could design a perfect trout stream that would be it; a dash of Taggerty sans the scrambling over fallen trees with some upper Goulburn thrown in. And if you blank it’s a gorgeous walk
Yes! It’s a bit like Little river at Taggerty but far less overgrown👍
Could be wrong but I think he means it’s like The Taggerty, rather than a creek (the Little R) at /near the town of Taggerty.
An Australian hidden treasure our alpine trout streams.Awesome session, thanks for putting it out! Your slowly convincing me of the merits of two rods on this type of water! Ideal training for an assault on the Pyrenees?
Nice video mate! Just wondering what your leader set up is for summer fishing on the nymph rod?
Hey Tom could I ask you a question? The GMC yoto nymph reel…is there a reason you don’t bring it out anymore? I’ve been really wanting to order one but nobody seems to have anything to say on it? It’s all foreign language the stuff I do find. Ps you’re a wonderful angler my friend an absolute pleasure to watch. Greetings from Scotland 🏴
Excuse the cynic, please, but I'm thinking it might have something to do with the 'sponsorship'. 😉😃
Lovely video
Lovely fish
I’m up this week for a week fishing in that the NE
Any suggested rivers or creeks without revealing your
secrets - all wheel drive - not 4 wheel drive
Thanks you! And Ovens, Kiewa and Buckland rivers are all really safe options. If you wanted to go further you could do either of the Mitta Mitta’s, the snowy… the list goes on 😊
Your obviously a wizard with the long wand, making it look far to easy. I normally run at 3 tangles per 5 casts lol.
😅😂
I didn't recognise the dry fly?
How did the falls creek fishing go? Still a bit full.
The fishing was patchy but good if you had wind and cloud cover. The fish are a bit lean up there at the moment though
Tenkara fisherman has entered the chat. 😂
Any hint where you are fishing?
Yeah I have a bit one in the intro haha
@@tomjarmanfishing3208 Got to be the Kiewa then 😉
