In 2019, there were not a lot of C7 ZR1 1ZRs ordered at all - Out of the 2953 production of a C7 ZR1, 2,761 ZR1s (93.4%) were fully optioned with the 3ZR package. Thus, the rarest ZR1s are 1ZR models.
C8 had a “market adjustment” on them in 2020, that’s the reason why it tanked. It was simply overvalued and now taking the hit when the car market corrects itself.
New 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe 2LT MSRP $84,865 Burton Price $89,865 Crazy that there is still a 5K market correction on these here in DE. Not for me, thanks
That is pretty crazy. Most C8 I see are around 2-5k off with some shady dealers charging for weird things like battery protection or ceramic coating. I have even see some z06 below MSRP.
C8 Prices Tanking is a misnomer ya’ll c’mon! The market is slowly returning to normal and you are not seeing used C8’s going for over retail. That is not tanking!
I’ve been looking at 2019 Z06. I’ve had nine of them and three that I’ve been following, these three are still for sale five months later and three months later. You can ask whatever price you want, but what are they actually getting?
If ZR1 will be the most expensive C8, Zora may could be Z06 hybrid. Natural aspired flat plain crank with electrification assistance. If not and Zora will be more expensive than the ZR1, then it could be a ZR1 hybrid
You think C8 prices are dropping like a rock check out low mileage full electric cars. Tesla vehicles have dropped 40% to 50%. You can easily get a used model 3 long range for under 30k. A used electric vehicle is a great vehicle to buy right now but they are going to keep dropping.
@jefris I bought an x7m60 130k I love it. I also have a TRX lunar edition, 111k. Those I can buy for the price. A stingray? No way. A zo6? Yeah, c8 zo6.
I’m not sure but in my area the rays are not selling. I spoke to three of my dealerships one being in the top 10 Corvette sells and for some reason they’re just not selling. I believe they’re at 5K off of MSRP and I feel like they would even take more off?
I'm not gonna sell my 2024 stingray convertible just to buy 2025 zr1. I'll buy zr1 and keep my stingray. They are 2 different cars built by the same manufacturer.
Once the C8’s collapse to between 60-70 grand I might be interested. Without a manual - I really do not have much interest in them - I think the prices of these will drop like a rock.
I want to know what you guys are talking about? I just went to a dealership yesterday in MD and all the of vettes were still in the mid 90s im not seeing no price drops no where.
Prices are all about supply and demand and all the old guys who want Corvettes are dying and the young guys don’t want sports cars anymore. That’s why prices are dropping.
Not really. Corvettes have never been a young man’s first choice. That’s when we have families and other financial obligations. It’s always been an older demo. If you have followed population shifts, that is the growing demographics. We are aging. It’s all just market dynamics that are very hard to say - oh - that’s it. That’s the reason. Every seller finds a buyer at some price. That’s the way the world works. But this has nothing to do with old guys and young guys. Zero.
Are you out your mind? I'm 35 and I'm getting a c8 z06. I'm dying to buy it and I'm so glad I held off. I want to see if I get one at 90k. Even a bare bones zo6.
You can ask all day long for $80k for a 2019 C7 Z06…. but in this economy, high interest rates make an already depreciating asset an even worst investment, limited drivetrain factory warranty and $10k OFF msrp for a brand new C8 is becoming more common place. I expect to see discounts OFF MSRP on new Z06’s by first of the year, if not sooner. Used car sellers are holding on to Covid sale prices. Those days are long gone.
why do catch ups and insurance sponsor comments take 35 minutes. what an absolute waste of time. i checked out over a month ago because theres literally nothing of value until the last 1/3. i get the hobby and i guess still get the intent... but 'live' isnt worth the wait. sry not sry. hope you find the sizzle again.
Sorry, but its the economy. GM C8 series cars are the most desirable sports cars on the planet of North America. When you broadcast that all young men can make profits by FLIPPING cars then you have some major problems. Young men with no alternative and heavily indebted can destroy whole economies like the U.K, where one in five is trying to make some get rich quick scheme fly.
C7 z06 is so so much fun. Wild car. First time i test drove it, i got sideways without trying.

But rare as they may be, people don’t want them.

Amazing content.... Sorry I missed Carlisle.... This is the best Corvette Channel....
C8 production increasing, C8 high maintenance costs are getting more known, and GM is NOT making any C7 M7

Yes and it’s several weeks now and it’s still sitting out on the lot for sale. Hmmm, wonder why 😂

You are right. The market is normalizing.
Get to the point man and tell us why the C8 prices are tanking, not gone stick around to hear none relevant stuff.
😅
I bought a GT 350 for 49k in 2020, drove it for 4 years and 5500 miles, then traded it in June 2024 for 56k.
They drove the ZR1 to the stand area and revved the engine for us to hear. They brought out the E-Ray right after the ZR-1.

Interest rates don't help. I got my 22 c8 at 2.2% now Interest is around 6-8% or more
The Grandsport will be above the Z06? If it has the ZR1 body that would put the GS as top dog that more people could afford.
I received an email yesterday from my dealer that my 2025 is at 3400 status.

Awesome ! Who are idiot enough to pay more that 100,thousand for a corvette ? Thank you guys
I did and I'm not an idiot. Just have money to buy it and it's worthy. What do you think a car that is worth 100k and why don't you buy it?
Z06 I can see. Stingray? Fk no

It’s not a demographic issue. The fast growing part of our population is 65 and over. Corvettes have never been a young man’s game.
