The (roughly) ONE HOUR CUT!
I took it upon myself to edit down the #HLVRAI ACAB Stream back in October. Originally compiled this to show a friend, but then after the effort, felt that it should be polished and posted as a public version. It was a labor of love! The older version is in the comments if you want to see how many lines I struggled with. ENJOY!

It is done! The full stream edited down to roughly around 1 HOUR!
The editing process has been a neat experience (and repetitive, so many lines replayed from trying to figure these out that I've accidentally memorized a good chunk of the stream). I initially just made this entire thing to show one friend without having to go thru the whole stream, and then I realized that once I gotten that far, I should polish it and make a public version.
The earliest cut of this was from like October (th-cam.com/video/rAzk4Q-9830/w-d-xo.html) where looking back on this now, a LOT of improvement was made haha. Those of (u know who u are) who tossed feedback my way and helped me figure out the most indecipherable lines... yall r the real mvp. 🤘
The editing was kept as close as possible to the edit style of the original, which was referenced a lot for certain editing choices, so, hopefully it stayed true to the series by some fair amount. This project was a lot of fun! Now that it is complete... ENJOY! 🏦⚔️

Here are my guesses as to everyone’s awareness:
Wayne is literally streaming it to everyone, why would he not know?
Dr. Coomer went through his whole arc so he definitely knows that he is not real.
Bubby is weird. He mentions “perfecting his run,” which implies he’s somewhat aware.
Tommy mentions “Payday,” as this stream is in Payday 2. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was self aware, considering his father.
G-Man is G-Man. He runs metaphysically. He lets the events of Episode 2 play through without any effect from his retcon in Alyx. The G-Man in HLVRAI is the same, but now he has a son.
Benrey is basically a virus on Wayne’s computer that only ever activates when Wayne logs the Science Team into a game. Wouldn’t be surprised if he knew
Nobody else shows any signs of self awareness
JohnWickLover is just some random player, but Benry mentions that he’s his brother. Since JWL plays the game like an actual game, it’s very likely he’s aware.
I like to think that the "brother's" account was a front to get him in.
G-Man actually seems the least aware out of all of them, he never said anything self aware and he's completely outside of the science team

I'm glad Wayne hasn't compromised Gordon's character to try and give fan service ship bait, he reacts the Benrey in a way that makes sense.
I mean, why would he mess with the dynamic just for fan service? Especially since he's more comfortable being himself during the streams and the friend group likes to do their own thing, even if it may not draw in as much views or attention.

@@beansaresodelicious Auditory processing disorder (APD) is where you have difficulty understanding sounds, including spoken words. The original VODs don't have subtitles, aside from Coomer's final message in HLVRAI.
Oof I feel you there. The subtitles are necessary for pretty much anything I watch, and Wayne's streams are almost universally geared towards those with sensory-craving rather than sensory-overload
Oh shit, I didn't see this.
To be more specific, APD (at least to me) is about struggling to differentiate sounds coming from multiple sources at the same time. Like I can't zone in on one person talking and understanding what they're saying, I instead hear a jumble of noises all at once from every angle. Supposedly APD is pretty common with folks with ADHD/ADD too.
Another really common symptom of APD is slow processing - even if I hear only one person talking with no background noise and they're speaking clearly, it can take me a bit longer to internalize the meaning of what they actually just said. That often results in people with APD saying "what?" thinking they didn't hear it when they technically did, then in the middle of someone starting to repeat themselves answering "oh yeah I got it".
I wish I could explain why subtitles are so important to me even if the audio is good (in this video's case, it absolutely is not good lmao which is why I'm extra grateful) If I had to guess, text tends to be a way easier way of quickly processing words since I can re-read it independently within milliseconds if I didn't "hear" it the first time.
It sounds so weird with the cleaner mics, because it doesn’t have the magic the gmod mics had, but it’s barely noticeable :)

I've only ever had sensory processing issues once in my life, and it happened on the day this steam aired, making the dialog near impossible to hear and hard to concentrate on. I appreciate the edit even if I can normally understand w/o subtitles as it's helping out a lot of peeps.
Honestly, having Benry show up again is great, but I think it would have been funnier if they modded it so he was one if the cops and he just kept hounding Gordon and getting in his way.
