The TH-cam algorithm did the same for me. From using Studio One as my first DAW to Max Channel. Wonderful times

A thoroughly engaging conversation in so many departments - in resonance with much of this, as you and I have touched upon when we talked and played - more better deeper. When you guys talked about why does V lead to l - it reveals our constant struggle as humans being meaning making machines - we are so somehow compelled to come up with 'the' sense of a finite answer - at this point for me its almost of sense of letting go of that tendency - meaning, the sound event is the thing in itself, of itself and no more or no less than itself - we then make these sounds which come of out this hole in our head (words) which also give us another level of impact/'meaning' but is never as moving as when something happens magically in the sonic realm. thanks for this important conversation and for introducing me to Tom and his brilliance - Mark.

Thanks Mark! I completely agree. The sound event is what it is, experientially, and nothing else. Theory and meaning-making are useful in terms of formula creation but these formulae are not the sound events they supposedly represent.
Glad you enjoyed the conversation. Looking forward my next conversation with you!

Guys, in France the conservatory is free. It's a public institution mostly classical, but there is a jazz section and a "Musiques Actuelles" (basically pop, pop rock, hard rock maybe...) the equipment and facilities aren't really that great compared to the uk or us but I think most of the teachers are really cool. You have of course auditions to pass and if you're a self learner you'll enter at a very low level but if you're passionated you'll grind fast as hell trust me.
