I replied to a post on the Army Painter Fan Page about the names of paints saying that, while all brands have their 'pet names' for paints, AP used the practical naming convention which 'I think' is an industry standard kind of thing. Nice to have it confirmed here as the Intersociety Colour Council. Also noticed that Thomas has personalised brushes.
Well that was easy! 😆 I’m so impressed with how in touch AP is with their customers and fans. It’s what inspired me to go with AP after I finally decided to purchase a complete paint set. I went with the Warpaint Mega Set and I really like it.
Will you perhaps create a more saturated red in the future? I bought the complete set, but was disappointed by the red ranges, as they were more pinkish than red, and didn't seem as saturated as some of geedubs' reds.
To get the best possible coverage, our Warpaints Fanatic range was reformulated with a new base, which includes additives including white for opaqueness. Our red are some of our most pigment heavy paints in the entire range, to give you the most vibrant reds we possibly could with the amazing coverage you expect from the Fanatic range. If you would like to punch up the vibrancy even more, a good technique is to use some of our red Speedpaints for glazing.
Currently working on ultramarines redempor, still inspirational. But balistus match to dark angels like not any other dread shel. Adding to watch later currently doing the deathwing assault box. Using skeleton bone air. Great paint
I would love to try the war paints fanatic, but the are just too expensive for the South African marked, due to the current exchange rate. I have seen the complete set going for the equivalent of a months salary.
Hoard Bronze would be the closest to Evil Chrome, and Enchanted Steel would be the closest to Cobalt Metal, though both of the Fanatic colours are lighter than the Speedpaint Metallics :)
I am so conflicted! On one hand, this looks absolutely amazing! 👌 However, on the other I really wanted to see you take on a Deathwing terminator without an airbrush, so I am kind of disappointed 🫤
Yoo, that looks great. Gonna use these techniques for my Invictor Tactical Warsuit. Sick tutorial!

Love the "shade" thrown for the note on the naming of the Pure Red used for highlighting. Keep on making great products!
they are absolutely throwing shade at juan hidalgo lol.

Another great tutorial. Love it!
Looks cool. 🖌👍
Holy hell, that piece is inspired! High five to Thomas, and I'll buy him a beer if he makes Adepticon in 2025!

love this! i would have went with a winter scene since he's in white and dusted some gloss here and there for that frosty sheen. any tanks coming up?!
We definitely have some tanks planned for the future :)
Fantastic paint job. Evil chrome and cobalt metal are lovely colors; do they have speedpaint metallic analogues?
