Hell yeah! Welcome a rewarding a fulfilling hobby. Some free tips:
* Remember that they don't have to be perfect, put as much time and effort into it as you want to.
* The only bad paint job is no paint job.
* Thin your paints with water.
* Don't drink the paint water, and especially don't drink the paint, no matter how delicious the color looks.

@@JasminLeudesdorff right? They look so much bigger on TH-cam. Invest in a magnifying glass with little alligator clips to hold the miniature. Your eyes and back will thank you!
Even the original brush on primer was like magic in a bottle, especially when you want to paint but weather won't allow a spray primer. Can't wait to see what the new formula can do.

Excited to get the Fanatic range, I've been preaching the virtue of Army Painter over the alternatives for a while now. I'd love to see a WW2 tutorial someday (maybe for Bolt Action 3rd edition coming in September?) since those are harder to match colors with than your standard fantasy or sci-fi models.

Is the brush-on primer also the new formula?
I got the complete set, I'm really enjoying the paints - but the pure red I got really doesn't look like the one in the video. It looks basically pink. Could it be defective? I guess I'll contact support with the info and some photos to compare. My LGS has the fanatic on rack now so I might go there and buy one to see if it's just my batch.

Question about the brush on primer: do you thin it with water or just don't add too much on your brush?
I asked the guy in my flgs when I bought the set and he said better not to thin the primer.

I have massive issues with Fantic Paints; paint rubbing off or reactivation when using washes... :(
Warpaints Fanatic offers a slightly prolonged drying time to aid in its coverage and workability when using the paints for advanced techniques like wet blending, stippling, and more. It’s important, as with all paints, to shake them well. Fanatic paints can be deceiving due to their insanely pigment dense formulation. It may trick you into thinking that the paints don’t need an extra shake. But the golden rule is to always shake your paints to make sure the retarders, pigments, and binders are all adequately amalgamated before using them.
Our paints are developed and tested with the most common matt finish primers. Our aerosol Colour Primer Sprays, Air Primers, and Brush-On Primer are great examples of this. For best results, we recommend using a primer or basecoat that has a flat matt finish.
How long do I have to wait after applying the brush on primer to paint?
Just until it's visibly dry and dry to the touch :)

The wash reactivated my paint
We're sorry to hear that. If the Warpaints Fanatic was fully dry before applying the wash there should be no way for it to reactivate. Do you have further details on the issue, such as the type of primer used, how long you waited, etc?
I live on a third floor flat I love 🥰 brush 🧹 on primer a superb 👌 invention. Sprays are always best , but this stuff is essential to people like me
