UPDATE: An army spokesperson confirmed all three soldiers involved are expected to recover fully and return to duty. Of the seven horses which were spooked, five tried to bolt and four - Vida, Trojan, Quaker and Tennyson - broke loose.
“Two of the injured horses were operated on last night, with one transferred to an equine hospital. All remaining horses are being closely observed.
“Vida was operated on overnight and is currently in stables at the Hyde Park Barracks under observation.
“Quaker was also operated on overnight but it was decided to move the horse to an equine hospital in the early hours for more specialist treatment.
“The extent of the injuries is not completely clear but we don’t believe at this stage there are any broken bones.
“The blood seen on Vida (the grey horse) was consistent with lacerations.”
We want to thank everyone who has shown such kindness and concern towards our soldiers and horses. We will provide more updates soon.
Thank you for letting us know. I hope they all make a full recovery. Bless them. Such beautiful horses.
Thank you for the update. I am glad the riders are doing well and two of the escaped horses. I am still concerned about Vida and Quaker though.
Thanks for the update, have been trying all day to see something on the news but as per usual the news focuses on humans not animals.
Thank you for the update..
I hope all…humans and horses continue to recover well. 👍🇬🇧
I hope quaker makes a full recovery and the other horse's as well please keep us updated on any more information about the horses
A rampage is when an animal is out to get you. Like and enraged elephant or bull. These horses were scared and hurt. Dont make them monsters. Or vicious. They are not.
Bravo! Au moins une personne qui défend les chevaux
Stop making it look worse than it was, horses ran out of fear
EXACTLY. So dramatic about everything.
Not rampaging. Frightening and running.
In order to rampage there must be whoopin and hollerin. Those horses weren't having fun.
Please amend your title, they horses are scared, not rampaging, thanks
Click bate.
Those poor horses must have been so frightened. I hope they and the injured people are all okay
Horses are flighty animals if one spooks others will react. They can hear or pass something every day but if they're in the wrong mood they will play up something stupid.
Humans are stupid!what are horses doing in a city?and London? ridiculous! It's called animal abuse!@@janefox4590
This is. So sad. 😢. Those poor horses must have been terrified to go to such lengths! My heart goes out to our Royal Household Guards, plus anyone else who were injured. Please tell me the horses are okay? It's not their fault. Thinking of you all. Lynne, New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤❤❤❤
Present information is that two of the horses are in a serious condition.
@@j.ksmith7432 NO! 💔💔💔😢😢
Oh noooo.. Please God help them 🙏❤️🙏❤️
Rampaging? What a stupid way to describe frightened horses.
I agree. They did not rampage. They were scared and running for their lives. 😢
The horses were spooked by something that terrified them and took action to try to save themselves and bolted … given how well trained they are and the relationship the display with the Guards they could only have been running for their lives . Hopefully they will all make a swift and full recovery … equine and human 🙏🏼
Freed horses!
I hope the injured King’s Guards and their Troopers are all recovering well from their injuries ❤
What about the beautiful horses!!
I hope the horses aren't traumatized for life. That was a horrible experience for them.
Only the officers of The Kings Guard ride horses and only then on important occasions. The injured are from the ‘King’s Life Guard’ or the HCMR if you prefer. However, I too hope that all injured yesterday whether two or four footed are recovering, I’ve just seen a news report saying that two of the horses are in a serious condition.
The Guards KNOW the risk - give out your prayers and thoughts to the poor INNOCENT horses.
@@moz7173 Yes, the guards KNOW the risks. But being hurt on the job, one of the risks, does not mean we can't pray for their recovery and wish them well! I admit though, that my first thought was of the horses. I was very upset seeing them crashing into cars and buses and being all bloody. But worse was their absolute terror these beautiful creatures were experiencing. I want to cry every time I think of their fear. So my prayers go out to all involved, horses, guards, pedestrians, but mainly those precious creatures. God bless them.🐴🐎❤❤❤❤
I did see the shocking video this morning from usa and I was so upset to see the poor terrified horses running and one bumped into a car. I hope the horses right now are doing well and will recover completely . It makes me sad to see them suffer.
Thank you for your great videos. I hope all the videos in future will be a lot more happier.
I think London might be the only city in world with so many horses to see, 🐴🐎🐎🐎 🦓🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Horses are sensitive animals and don't like sudden loud noises, such as crashing concrete. Those beauties got spooked and frightened, wanting to get as far away as possible. It's incredible that professionals and layman came to help the injured, and gathered the horses so quickly. They deserve a HUGE thank you. Wishing all who were injured, the guards, horses, pedestrians, all who may have been traumatized, a very speedy recovery, from across the pond in Ontario Canada
Quickly gaddered? 2horses where on the run for 2hours
@@zoerolandevanrumt7745 Where in my comment, does it say "gaddered"? would you mind pointing that out please. Yes it may have taken 2 hours, but the horses need time to CALM down. I might wonder, if you could do a better job.
@@joyceroberts3886 sorry I'm not English I spelt it wrong.... you wrote " and gathered the horses so quickly!"how can you understand body langues or other animals if when a word is getting spelt wrong by one letter you already don't get what someone is saying or writing in this case! If you feel for these horses you would not be thanking the people who put them in these situations! Or wishing them a speedy recovery! Their are no humans seriously injured! But their is still a horse in hospital if not dead already but that no one is asking for! How are the horses doing? Humans don't need to be complimented for their own stupidity! also those Muppets that do everything their king or queens tell them to making them self look ridiculous! Treating the horses like shit! And getting compliments on it? It's all animal abuse and for whoever feels sorry for the humans or soldiers or whatever....doesn't really care about horses in the first place! Yes I would do better!I would never take a horse into a city let alone live in a city like London, only that is already not thinking or caring about horses welfare!
@@zoerolandevanrumt7745 The horses that got spooked, were in flight mode, while on exercise and training duty. They are WORKING to guard the King and properties. The horses are trained for hearing noises like fire/police sirens, buses, motorcycles and car horns. They are not trained for unexpected loud bangs of a construction crew, dumping concrete into a shute. My point of thanking the public for helping GATHER the runaway horses to calm them down, was my way of showing respect, appreciation, for their bravery. ANYONE who disrespects the guards, horses and the jobs they do, should be shamed. Watch videos of the "tourists" pawing, manhandling, pushing aside the horses nose because they are too close to the guard or want their photo taken for social media, It's apprehensible and disgusting
It’s totally shocking to see..
Poor soldiers and horses .
Those builders who dropped all the concrete on to the pavement as the troop was passing by should be prosecuted.
Why on earth were they allowed to A)still be working and B) be in the area in the first place…A high security risk I would of thought.
Well done everyone involved with the recovery operation especially the members of the public who caught and calmed the horses down….
Dreadful situation, for everyone and animals….👍🇬🇧
Earlier war time horses had REAL Battlefield experiece under rough hand ...no needs NOW .
From Virginia US. I got a BBC alert my time ~5:30am. Blood ran cold when videos came through. My Dad & I- life long equestrians. But Dad was the one who trained and rode in formation & on city streets. It broke my heart when I heard of the recklessness at the construction site. Hope careful reconnaissance can reduce such activity while troops and equine pass these areas in future. My sincere best wishes for all who endured today's events.
I don’t think you should be apportioning blame just yet, doubtless enquiries will be made but there are too many differing stories around at present. I heard that the builders were sending concrete, presumably hardcore, down a chute, I’ve heard the noise that that makes and I doubt that the builders would’ve heard the horses coming. What do you mean with your questions? They seem non-sensical to me tbh. ‘Why were they allowed to still be working?!’ The whole thing started after 8.0am, what hours do you think builders work exactly? As for being in the area! That’s nuts, they go where the work is, how do you think that hotels, offices, shops homes etc get built if not with builders?! They’re no more of a risk than anyone else that sets foot in London, it’s not there just for Tourons, people make their living there. It was an accident, you know, one of those things that happens ‘accidentally’ the horses have been well broken and schooled, they’ve been desensitised about lots of things but there will always be something that can’t be thought of in advance, thank goodness that it happened to a small group and not a full on parade.
@bronniepaterson4694, prosecution is extreme.
From Tennessee...I love watching your videos. I feel for the horses that probably thought in their minds that the big loud noise was a predator. It was either flight or fight. Poor horses. I pray the for a full recovery for the horses and people who were hurt.
From South Africa... I feel sorry for horses and riders. The horses did not understand what was happening with the noise
This gives me an on the ground look at London……Deep sympathies for the horses and their riders..💕
I watch this morning from the USA. I felt so badly for the troopers, guardsman, pedestrians and of course the horses. I hope all are recovering. I hope the horses are given extra love and attention. They must have been totally terrified. That house must have been extreme. Will those horses ever be okay to do their duty after such a traumatic experience? Actually the same could be said for all the riders, being thrown from the horse into the streets of London really must have hurt. Thursday you all will be even more sore, including the poor Lifeguard from Horse Garden Pro were he was also thrown this morning. 💖
‘That house must have been extreme?!’ What house? Two of the horses are in a serious condition so until they’re physically recovered (hopefully) there is no point in worrying about anything psychologica, for riders it’s an occupational hazard and just in a days work usually, again, we need to wait for accurate information.
5 horses got spooked and did what horses do, they ran. Why, because horses are prey animals and flight is their go to reaction when they feel threatened.
Which, if nothing else might stop the constant whinge of ‘the horses should be behind a fence’ well now they can see why I’ve spent so long saying that that would be both impractical and downright dangerous!
Keep them away from all those crazies we see in the videos touching their reins and bothering them!
I hope guards, civilians and horses are ok. Sending ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏 to all.
I do hope horses ok. I am more concerned about the grey one covered in blood. Poor fur babies
It's been reported the poor Horse with the injuries is not as bad as first thought. So upsetting😢
Ever seen a horse with fur???? 🤦🏻
Poor horses 😮
I watched several videos of this shortly after it happened, prayers for the riders thrown off, the civilians injured and for the injured horses. Absolutely horrific and terrifying videos, I can't imagine witnessing it in person. Well done to the civilians who assisted one horse after it collided with a bus, a man was able to calm the horse and untangle the reigns from it's leg.
From what I've read there was a block of concrete that fell at a construction site basically right next to where the horses were walking, I'm sure it was much louder than what they're conditioned to deal with. I feel so sorry for the horses especially the white one, I couldn't help but get choked up watching it and the rider who landed on his back across the median. I pray all involved recover quickly and fully and no permanent damage was done.
For sure the horses didn't trow people of! If any of them reared or fell backwards....it's just ones more the guards pull the horses over on the concrete ground,it's never the horse it's fault!never!always the human what ever way you put it! Because other animals are smarter then humans ,they would never place them self in dangerous situations like this, only dumb selfish arrogant people do that to animals!
Army spokesman said that all horses were returned to Hyde Park Barracks and undergoing Veterinary Care. The three troopers were in hospital with no life threatening injuries, a fourth person was a cyclist, also injured.
Watching from Michigan in the US. I have been watching the Kings Horse guards for some time. This was a tragic event that was not expected, but I later heard they were caught and secured before 11:00. The horses seemed very frightened. I know the guards are usually able to control the horses. Hope all horses and humans are okay.
Thank you for letting us know the injured soldiers and horses are healing and will eventually return to work. During the mid and late 1960s I helped to take care of 21 horses on our small 40-acre ranch when they needed help. All our horses had been abused, neglected, and abandon, so the County asked us (and other small farmers) to assist in their care; it was a great time of my personal growth and I gained great respect for the animals that have been instrumental in Man's progressions over the centuries. God bless the soldiers and the horses.
Why the absurd headlines, why not just scared, frightened horses running through London? Is there really any need for the drama.
I hope the horses don't have internal injuries considering how hard the one horse hit the bus and from whatever else they ran into.
They are keeping an eye on ALL the Horses involved in the incident and those affected during the day as the atmosphere will have been tense in Horseguards. I am surprised they didn't close for the day to tourists at least just to let things calm down and let folk recover.
@@racheldemain1940 I agree with you, they should have closed Horseguards for the day to tourists. What happened that day was so traumatic for everyone.
Please keep us updated on Vida and Quaker sending all my love to them , and for their quick recovery thankyou I love and adore horse's..❤❤💋💋
It sounds scary and dangerous for people and horses. Horses will go wild when frightened badly enough. They will charge and run wildly trying to escape whatever frightened them, no matter what, or who is in the way. I hope the injured horses are alright, and the riders, and public also.
They will try to get back
To the stable, they will run home
@@MissTee.but they didn’t did they?
Two of the horses are in a serious condition, but that’s all I’ve heard so far today.
@@j.ksmith7432 that is heart breaking thank you for the information. Poor sweet souls.
@@j.ksmith7432 I believe actually people were able to get the horses round up. I guess in a city situation it’s much harder to get back home. My horse headed straight for the barn if he was spooked .
Oh my gosh I hope all of the horses are ok and I hope all the injured are well
❤😢❤ sending love and hugs to the horses and all involved ..Thankyou for the update
I hope the guards, civilians & horses are all OK.
They weren’t rampaging they were spooked and a horse’s natural instinct is flight I really hope they were ok I’m sure the guards and their vets looked after them but they would have been traumatised
My husband and I are sooo sad to see the horses and the troopers that got injured in their training, we love your channel and watching what we saw on the news here down under made us cry. We hope and ours prayers is with all the troopers and horses and get better soon😢😢😢😢
Sending healing prayers to all the horses and soldiers involved in this terrible incident. I hope they all recover quickly. 🙏🙏 From Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Hoping all is safe, all humans and and animals involved.💕
The commanding officer gave an update . The horses and troopers are ok . They are all treatable . Members of the public , no update yet . Having served in the Welsh guards , i have seen many occasions when horses have spooked and thrown the rider . But never this bad . Good luck to all involved .
Hope that's the case with that gray horse. I saw them loading the gray onto a trailer after they caught him and he was holding up his left hind, completely off the ground, Refused to put it down. That is not a good sign.
@@DoubleDogDare54 present info says three horses are ok, two are in a serious condition.
@@j.ksmith7432 I only saw the video of those two horses running through the streets, but I'd be surprised if that gray isn't euthanized. Typically when they hold a leg up like that it is because of a fracture of some sort. Running on that asphalt can easily cause a stress fracture.
👎You should STOP trying to dramatise your stories more than they are👎, the horses were not "Rampaging" they had been startled and took flight out of fright.
Just tell the truth when reporting and STOP the 👎Sensationalism and clickbate titles👎.
I do not 'Like' 👎( let alone subscribe) to such videos and give them 👎negative criticism 👎without watching them.
Praying Horses and individuals are doing ok
Pamela here, from Tucson, Arizona, USA. I hope these gorgeous Equine, are safe, now and have been medically attended to. So sorry you Royal King's guards were so rudely and spontaneously unseated by your beautiful steeds. Hoping you have only sustained trivial wounds, and that you heal straight away. I can't begin to fathom the shock you all went through in mere split seconds. I am sure your pride and embarrassment hurt as well. Have a timely lay down, and call the Doctor in the morning; some hot tea and a couple ALLEVE should aid in your recovery; there's bound to be a few headaches in the offing, possibly. Cheerio, and rest my darlings.
I am so sorry to hear, of this unfortunate turn of events which occurred in the City of London.
I do hope all humans and horses, that were affected by this have suffered no serious injuries.
Am seeing this on our news in Bundaberg Australia. Just absolutely tragic.
How awful my heart goes out to both the kings guards and the poor horses who were injured in this horrific incident may they all get better soon ❤️🙏💂💂🐎
Did see the pictorial news last evening on our tv news here in New Zealand. Shocking for horses and people going about their general daily lives. Hope the horses and guardsmen ok.
those poor horses must of been scared half to death 😢!
Not rampaging.Tell the truth!!!!!
Thank you.
An important thing is that your viewers realise that this is an incredibly rare event .
Not. I could have predicted this, having watched a few vids of the household cavalry horses mucking up. They are over-fed and underworked. Add to that the fact that old ways are dying out, horses need about 20km per day, active trotting out, not standing in stalls, walking on parade, and standing about on guard duty. Poor things are bored shitless while full of hard feed.
Best Wishes to riders, horses and bystanders for a fast recovery. Such a sad incident when the horses and riders do such a wonderful job. From the Wilds of Wales -- where we find stray horses, sheep and cows; for us nothing unusual in that.
When horses get spooked !!!! Flight response kinks in !!!! So sorry this happened !!! Prayers for all the persons who were injured. And prayers for those beautiful horses. For a full recovery. And no lasting physiological issues from their trauma. ❤
Hello from 🇺🇸. Yes, I was watching TH-cam news in London and saw this. Very sad. I hope everyone and the horses are alright. ❤
Poor horses they must have been terrified
It was frightening terrifying for the horses the grey was covered in blood I pray he is alright hope the guards and civilians are ok
It was so upsetting to see those magnificent horses running scared. 😢
Thank you for this video.
Cantering is not running at full speed. Galloping is full speed. Cantering is a gentle run above trotting. But yes, they had thrown the two riders who had the string of unsaddled horses taking them for some exercise.
Precisely!
There were four ridden horses but only one led.
Watching from New Zealand.
Thought so much of the soldiers and horses, hoping very much everything is now as well as it can be. Be well and stay safe.
Thank you for this video. I’ve never been to London so this gives great perspective. I’m an equine lover and this incident was very distressing to see, even on video. I can imagine how witnesses and the care takers of the horses must feel. I hope the riders and these beautiful animals make full recoveries. ✌🏼❤️🇨🇦
Well wishes and blessings to all involved, men and horses alike 🙏🏼

Please please let us know thst the horses are OK and are resting
I'm impressed by how clean the streetscape is.
Watching from San Francisco peninsula. Very informative! Thx for the update. Much appreciated.
🙋🏻♀️🇺🇸Viewing from New England portion of the USA. Since I heard the news and saw videos of the horses running in the streets I was looking for an update. Thank you for your channel and for giving me the update. It did look quite scary to see something like that happen especially in a business London street. Glad to hear all humans and horses are doing well.
Thanks you to @buska and @londoncitywalks for actually filming what happened today
Omg hope guards and horses are okay and recovering well and also hope that all bystanders recover soon
My heart so goes out to these poor beautiful horses. Scared into running, they run into even more danger and fear. The white one who was covered with blood, is he ok? I know the vets are looking after them, I just want to know he is ok and wasn't put down. Thank you. I feel also for the guards and pedestrians, but most for the horses. In cities, they are WAY out of their natural environments. Greetings from South Africa.
Watching from Bangalore, India. Prayers for all the injured 🙏
We were all shocked about the incident that happened this morning. 2 horses from the Household Cavalry were spotted runnning loose through the Center London. Eventually they were rampage and hit multiple vehicules. They were believed spooked over a Loud noise
Reports said 4 people were injured. We all that’s weren’t so grave
What made them spooked is what’s believed due to a Construction site
It waw scary and shocking
Change the title. This was not a rampage. The horses were scared and not deliberately trying to hurt anyone. Hope people and horses are okay🙏
I'm tuning in from the other side of the pond, the Moose Country. Thanks for the video.

Praying for the injured, both four and two legged. Also, praying for protection for it never to happen again.
Rampaging???
The horses are cantering in the video, but this is only medium speed for a horse. They can gallop up to 30+MPH, which they certainly weren't doing in the film.
From Morro Bay, CA USA. Enjoy your programming. ❤
Rampaging, well running scared, frightened by circumstances. Luckily the traffic seemed light. I hope the horses and riders are all ok,
The Horses obviously were spooked after glimpsing Camilla without her make-up on. 🐎
Goodness, how scary! I'm glad the guards' and pedestrians' injuries weren't worse! Hopefully, the horses will recover as well. I wonder what spooked them?
An update from the radio4 news this morning said that two of the poor injured horses, are today in a very serious condition.
Hope everyone ok. Horses as well. Sending love and hugs over the seas from Australia
I heRd & read about this incident. I hope all both Horses and Cavalry persons are recovering ok. ❤❤
Woke up to this news this morning ANZAC day here worried about the horses and i hope the men are ok too.
Cantering is not running at full speed. Galloping is running at full speed. Really hope both soldiers and injured horses are doing well
Neil Sean reported that the horses were seen to by vets & doing well as are the guards. Car & bus, not so well.
Some construction site near where the horses were dropped large pieces of concrete from way above into the dumpster/truck & it was quite loud. That set it all in motion.
They’re all very lucky!
Watching from Martinsville Indiana we are praying for the king and princess Kate Jesus loves you
It is just horrible and I pray for all to recover and lessons are learned and it never happens again but when you deal with animals anything can happen, God Bless All
Any update on how Quaker & Vida are doing after their surgeries please?
Syop for apocalypse awareness
Spooked by a load of rubble being dumped? How timely. Get the cavalry off the streets, how handy. The horses themselves are bored, over-fed and under-worked, I am not surprised this happened. No longer real horse soldiers, not much clue these days.
Poor horses, all the best from Birmingham!
I pray that everyone is good
When I saw the white horse full of blood and the front window of the bus shattered, I couldn't watch anymore. So Sad.
I am sorry for what happened this morning with the horse's plus riders. It was upsetting seeing blood on the White horse blessing to all for speedy recovery ❤❤❤
