While the Cat Power cover honors that song and takes it in a meditative direction, this Lucinda Williams tune is given a reading that transports the listener into the visceral dichotomy of war. Hell on earth, death, dismemberment in the enemy’s presence abroad, domestic business as usual back home. The harmonica reaches an increasingly urgent crescendo until you see the bullet pass through not only the protagonist’s heart, but his family’s heart as well. I knew Sean was good, but, fuckin’ hell, this is something else. I hope Lucinda Williams has heard this rendition of her song.

When I was a kid, I suffered from bullying from most of the kids at my school, in high school same thing, even in college, but he always appear at the right spot and time to protect me, like a super hero, he teach me then how to fight, how to stand your ground and fight, fight for what and who you are, what you love, what deserves to be fight for, family, partner in love, real friends, he showed me that bleed for that it's a true honour, and I'll will do it if it's necessary one day, without a doubt in my heart and mind.
