I just tried this and it worked really well for my thin curly-wavy hair. It’s like the best of both worlds for my hair. It also really makes sense to use different techniques on different parts of your curls to best meet your needs. I clumped the side of my hair really that responds best to clumping, and used the hand coil method on my crown and down into the other side as needed.
I know this is posted a year ago so I don't know that anyone's going to see this response but I think this was the best I've seen your hair look in doing the hand styling and curling versus clumping. I like the combination and I'm definitely going to try this on my hair. It is short and wavy
My routine is sooo similar now and I love my hair so much more now too. straight out of the shower I use Curl Keeper original. Scrunch scrunch scrunch. Hand curl top layer. Towel dry a lot then finish with Aveda smooth infusion on wet hands to get those fly aways in check. Use a big pick comb to floof once dry dry. I think the most important thing was learning to towel dry more than I was doing. I was always afraid it would frizz up hair but realized I finally have the volume at the roots that way. I've been using Dove 2 in 1 dry scalp shampoo lately. I used to buy and try expensive curly hair products but I am currently not working being a full time caregiver for my dad so every penny counts. Kind of love the one step process too and ending up not too dry or oily. My cocoa and arrowroot dry shampoo takes care of any oil the next day. I wish I had content I felt would be good for your video idea of my hair journey but I'm camera shy! haha.
Hi Luisa I just found your channel. You have amazing hair I really love it. Could you tell me if yoy have layers on your hair. I am about to cut my hair but not sure what to tell hairdresser. I have thick high porosity wavy hair.
I know!!! It’s just too much! Right? Don’t be scared Melodi, deep breath in aaaannnnd go for it! What’s the worst that can happen? A bad hair day 🤷🏽♀️ it’s worth the try 😉 Let me know how it goes!!! 😘
@@LuisaLouisjust did it but was to lazy to defuse so I'm letting it air dry. Our home is quite warm anyways. Personal record 13 minutes for styling. XD Oh and ps. I tried sleeping with a bonnet and it saved me so much time. I wash my hair once max twice a week now and don't touch it till next wash day. So great.
OMG @@melodid5023 !! That's pretty good! And you'll see, the more you do it, the faster you'll get. I am happy that you tried the satin bonnet! Have you tried the satin pillowcase? so good for your hair AND skin!!

Thanks a lot for sharing Caitlyn. If ever you find the courage to send me a photo of your pretty curls, I will be happy to share 😉
Great video, i think this styling technique looks the best on you😘❤️
Oh thank you!
Love your hair. Moi aussi, je suis fatiguée de passer tant de temps à faire mes cheveux-c’est embettant.
Haha! Je te comprends Roberta!!
Man I love ur tattoos!!
Thanks girl ❣
Your hair is so similar to mine. What is that hairbrush you’re using?
My hair is layered. Not sure if I can do this but will try.
Gorgeous!!
Thank you!!

Just purchased the Not Your Mother's leave in
My extraordinary Queen👑 Luisa you are simply exceptional...😉
For me I really try not to part my hair. Since it’s so fine it gets so flat when i part it. I do better just to let it fall where it will
Thanks for sharing Deandra!
You are pretty much beautiful 😍
Do you get Ouidad haircuts?
Hello Marie. Yes, I do.
They are my favorite, however, over time they thinned my hair out too much so I had to stop.
I am scared to try this.. but I'm sick of spending 25 minutes on freaking styling my hair XD so I will try. Let's hope for good results.

@@LuisaLouis no the satin pillowcase still has to be tried :) have you already tried it and can you recommend it?
You can try it in a day that you don't have to go outside
If I try to make a strand of hair go anyway other than what it wants to do....it will not cooperate.
Your skin is always glowing like illuminating what's your secret??? 😍
Thanks Aira! I am not sure 😅
