The cross boomerangs are your best friend for the fem wolf. She starts hurling the clock’s Roman numerals at you, and toward her half wasted health bar, I think she yanks off the minute hand and swings it at you. Oh, and fun fact: the clock tower where she fights you displays the actual time on your Playstation; just like the mid-castle clock room in SOTN.

That said, I always believed that after defeating Dracula (or even the Grim Reaper beforehand), Simon freed the people who were still alive and imprisoned in the torture chamber stage.

There is one now, but it doesn’t have this game and the version. Just the first three, the IV, Bloodlines, the Gameboy games, and Kid Dracula. And it’s Japanese variants! And only $20!
Well the thing is Vampire Killer is a whip created from alchemy, albeit now powered up by a soul of a innocent vampire. So it's no surprise that the whip can transform into a different matter, changing form differs from a Belmont to another Belmont.
I had this idea a long time ago. The church wouldve made it. The whip wouldve been made from pieces of the whips the Romans beat Jesus with while he carried his cross to his crucifixion. Because they were soaked in holy blood, they would be extremely dangerous for unholy creatures. The chain links would've been made of melted down silver relics and braided into the whip. The chain links would also have little spikes or "teeth" on them to give the whip a saw like cutting attack. There was also a fire whip I think. For that, after killing so many unholy creatures, the whip would be soaked in unholy blood so Simon would coil it up and smash a holy water vile on it causing all the unholy blood to burst into flame, rejuvenating the whip and giving it's wielder a fire whip for a short time.
This game is a "revamp" of Akumajou Dracula X68000; this game features some upgraded visuals, new arranged music and slightly different boss patterns, but it's like 90% similar to the game I mentioned before.
It tries to be such a loyal remake, it's kinda weird they left Akmodan and The Creature out. They could design a tomb level and a dungeon level for them. The Creature could be accompanied by a hunchback (who, of course, is presumably Igor), just like in the original Castlevania.
Apparently, this is the hardest Castlevania game, I've tried playing the X68000 version (Which is basically this game but you know... it doesn't look like this one.) the controls are messed up for some reason.
Strange, i played though this on the PS3 a few years ago and i could of sworn that the Wolf Woman throws the clock's numbers at you before ripping a hand off to use as a weapon, but then again i thought she faced away from the camera after she died.
The should have a Fast and Furious movie wherein everyone taller than 6' feet and weighty is perpetually crouching. The Rock, Diesel, Cena, Tatum, Elba...
I don't know why, but i don't like this Castlevania, i mean, i feel like they could do something more wonderfull (nope, not sotn, but something like SCIV)
This is more geared towards the fans that played the NES original, (since ya know...Its a straight up remake of the first game like part IV) its for those that want a difficult challenge and this game definitely has that cuz it can get frustratingly hard at times. The Creature in this game became a normal enemy in death's stage. Akmodan I don't know.
It's loyal, but it also still wants its own identity, which I feel was the right call.
The scariest part is when that flaming-headed man proceeded beyond the drapery. Exciting.
