    People who are saying he's on some shit... no. He's explaining an extremely traumatic experience and his movements show high anxiety. He isn't on anything, it's just really hard for him to talk about. Have some respect.

      Yes, he is explaining a very traumatic experience while tweeked as fuck. I'm not taking anything away from his story but he is clearly high and needs help. You are just ignorant to it and that is OK. I am going to assume and shouldn't assume but, his experiences while locked up are now probably driving his addiction. Which is the new nightmare chapter in his life.

    PLEASE do not ever conduct another interview while standing over the other person. You are literally looming over him in a dominant and authoritative stance. He's talking about some very serious and traumatic things. You should be at eye level with him; creating an equalizing and relaxing environment for him. I seriously doubt that your intent was anything but pure... just wanting to help Austin tell his story, and I appreciate the upload. Just be mindful when you're dealing with people who have been through trauma and asking them sensitive questions about their experience. Please 🙏.

      You are mistaking your opinion and personal intellectual approach to this situation, one which you have limited info on, for some kind of truth. It is not. You have a fundamental emotional fear of the unknown. I suggest you work on that. Please🙏.

He can turn the absolute worse which, sorry, isn’t HIV but taking a life & turn it into a positive experience for others like becoming a public speaker, educator to alcoholics who have had bouts w DUIs. Someone that died doesn’t experience pain anymore, so they are better off, compare that to someone who got gang raped, that is WAYYYY worse because you endure actual pain and torture and suffering, not peace of no longer existing.

    Austin if you see this comment, there is no shame in telling your story. And by you haveing the courage to speak out maybe it can start the dialogue about prison rape. People who are raped shouldn't be ashamed, it is the rapist who are sick. The rapist are not "sharks" or "strong" as they seem to be referred to when they raped in prison. They are sick psychos that have no place in our society.

    • @shamusfarmer7057
      @shamusfarmer7057 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Rebecca Gurley As a man, and with all due respect (really!), I can tell you there IS shame in this. I wouldnt have told anyone about this if I were him. People will look at you differently. Like you are no longer really a "man". Being raped as a woman and being raped as a man are TOTALLY different. Both are horrible, absolutely horrible, but I'm sorry to say this, IT IS WORSE IF YOU ARE A MAN. Im not speaking from experience, here, but any man could attest to this, experience or no.

    • @Mommaatoz
      @Mommaatoz 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Shamus Farmer I understand you look at this from a man's point of view. And he has nothing to be ashamed of. Just like if a woman is raped she shouldn't be ashamed of being raped. He did nothing to cause himself to be raped. Just like anyone else who has been raped did not deserve to be raped or cause their rape. When we allow people to live in shame who were raped, then we are allowing for the epidemic of rape shaming to continue. The ones who should be ashamed and who should be shamed are the rapist. We have to stop the culture of rape shaming the victims and placing shame on the rapist. The rapists are sick. And he has nothing to be ashamed of. If I were him, I would name each of those sick pieces of shit out loud. That way their families and friends will all know what pieces of crap they are. And they are sexually predators who should never see the light of day. Put shame where shame is due. No man or boy, woman or girl should ever be shamed because of sick perverts.

      If you fuck a punk you are a punk. And we live in a sick society where offenders are so dehumanized, people in the general public think rape needs to be part of the sentence. It's a running gag, a big joke in this country. Or they have this sick idea that it's only sex offenders that are raped in prison, that some convict code of honor is meting out justice. If you're small, or weak, it doesn't matter what you did to be locked up, you're going to be a target.
