A guy that I know that went to prison told me some prison stories. He told me Lifers violate men all time, they have nothing to lose. He said there are plenty of drugs, cell 📲 what ever you want. 😮 He told me inmates run things, not the warden. He said you hear screams every night. He said guys put sheets on the bunk bed 🛏️ so they can get busy. He said you can smell the odor in the air 🤯🤮🤮🤮🤢 He said bad C O will set you up. You don't know if you are going to walk out alive. You can go in and might have a year and can get 10 more years. You can go in healthy and leave with HIV. Officers do not protect you. Guys stay out of the prison. Period.

I too would also prefer to be in solitary confinement for 100 years rather than be around those evil rapist prisoners. When a good friend of mine became a CO I stopped talking to him. He would tell me stories of inmates screaming in a pool of their own blood and he would be laughing about it. It’s fucking sickening. I had a friend that I grew up , we dated in high school but we broke up. We also remained in each other’s lives because we were friends. He went to prison at 20 or 21. I told myself that I would not be like friends that stop talking to you , I truly cared about him as my friend. I visited on occasion, not often because he was at different facilities and they were far away . I put money on his books every so often . I wrote him and gave positive affirmations to keep him from being bored or lacking outside interaction. I prayed for him to be safe and come out and be successful. I kept in touch with his mom . I never allowed myself or anyone else speak negatively due to him being in prison. And how was I treated after 7 years? Like 💩 . He came out and did a complete 180. Told me I should have visited more. People nowadays been messing him over with his business, so now he says he doesn’t have any friends. He spent very little time with me . The list goes on and on , and the crazy part is it wasn’t for ulterior motives, like I wasn’t expecting anything from him other than be there when he was down . Yet , he treated me like trash .

My mom is a nurse of 35+ years and was a nurse at a juvenile prison. She said one time while passing meds, she saw a 14 year old rocking and crying on his bunk. She said it was her first time on the wing, so she didn’t know the inmates. She said she went to the youth’s cell, asked him if he was okay, and he told her he had just gotten ganged raped. She asked him how many, and he said he stopped counting at 16🥹🥹. Luckily he was moved to a new wing and named my mom Angel

A friend of mine was in a relationship with a man who had been in and out of prison.She thought she needed to stick by his side.After one of his shorter stints he came back home to her and gave her a sexually transmitted disease. The nurse at the hospital told her that she sees it often with people who have anal sex. Suffice to say that finally opened her eyes and have her the strength to leave him for good. Now he's back in prison serving 8+ years. His best " friend" in there is a guy serving life for multiple murders. 🤢😱

I worked as a nurse in a local county jail for one month. I still have nightmares. When you put people in cages, expect the worst to occur. America jails more people than any other place on the planet. It's big business; from food, communication to the outside, everything and anything. It's just sickening.

I went to college to study criminal justice and I was going to become a warden. This would not have been happening at my facility. If I had of seen rapes on my cameras there would have been some problems upon my arrival to work.

I'm not watching this, but I saw the title and thought I'd stop in to comment. I served 12 years in Canadian prison and only saw a rape once. The dude was new to jail and thought you had to rape to have status in there. We beat the living shit out of him and he checked into protective custody and we did everything to make the victim feel better afterwards. For example we gave him canteen items, gave up our phone times so he could call his loved ones and made sure his family had a ride from the city to the next few visits.

He was glued to the TV. 2 days later told me he’d found a job and asked if he could stay at my house whilst he sorts himself out. I’m glad that I passively told him to change his life. The mother and father need to educate their children, specially boys, to not commit crimes and so avoid going to prison and also to be strong and be able to fight back and protect themselves from predators. I grew up with someone who was sent to limestone prison for a year and half and he was raped on a regular basis. His mom said he woke up nightly when he got home having night terrors. He was never the same after that. He never went back but he died from overdose in the end.

The problem isn’t prison culture; it’s the culture in general. Men are rewarded for being alpha. Sexual prowess is celebrated. That doesn’t disappear when they go to prison. People think it’s soft for a man to be vulnerable or have emotional intelligence. They don’t acknowledge that the lack of such things is what creates violence and hostility.
Prison rape needs to be taken more seriously and anyone who rapes an inmate needs to suffer additional prison terms and be put in solitary confinement

When a good friend of mine became a CO I stopped talking to him. He would tell me stories of inmates screaming in a pool of their own blood and he would be laughing about it. It’s fucking sickening. I know everyone deserves love, but I’ve never dated a man with a record or has done time in jail. You just never know what those men will do, have done, or what they have been through. Too much questions and too much damage.
I've been to prison and their are a lot of sexual predators in prison, It's a sicking sight to see men doing things unspeakable to each other. I'm grateful to the Lord for keeping me safe from all that
I had a friend that I grew up , we dated in high school but we broke up. We also remained in each other’s lives because we were friends.
He went to prison at 20 or 21. I told myself that I would not be like friends that stop talking to you , I truly cared about him as my friend.
I visited on occasion, not often because he was at different facilities and they were far away .
I put money on his books every so often .
I wrote him and gave positive affirmations to keep him from being bored or lacking outside interaction.
I prayed for him to be safe and come out and be successful.
I kept in touch with his mom .
I never allowed myself or anyone else speak negatively due to him being in prison.
And how was I treated after 7 years?
Like 💩 . He came out and did a complete 180. Told me I should have visited more. People nowadays been messing him over with his business, so now he says he doesn’t have any friends.
He spent very little time with me .
The list goes on and on , and the crazy part is it wasn’t for ulterior motives, like I wasn’t expecting anything from him other than be there when he was down .
Yet , he treated me like trash .

My mom is a nurse of 35+ years and was a nurse at a juvenile prison. She said one time while passing meds, she saw a 14 year old rocking and crying on his bunk. She said it was her first time on the wing, so she didn’t know the inmates. She said she went to the youth’s cell, asked him if he was okay, and he told her he had just gotten ganged raped. She asked him how many, and he said he stopped counting at 16🥹🥹. Luckily he was moved to a new wing and named my mom Angel

A friend of mine was in a relationship with a man who had been in and out of prison.She thought she needed to stick by his side.After one of his shorter stints he came back home to her and gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

America jails more people than any other place on the planet. It's big business; from food, communication to the outside, everything and anything. It's just sickening.

I'm not watching this, but I saw the title and thought I'd stop in to comment. I served 12 years in Canadian prison and only saw a rape once. The dude was new to jail and thought you had to rape to have status in there. We beat the living shit out of him and he checked into protective custody and we did everything to make the victim feel better afterwards. For example we gave him canteen items, gave up our phone times so he could call his loved ones and made sure his family had a ride from the city to the next few visits.

What you got to understand is that prisons or businesses not related to the government. These prisons have private owners, some are even built on old plantations, look it up. Prison rape shouldn't be allowed, the correctional guards do not care, they know it happens. My mother always told me from a young kid that prison is nowhere you ever want to be, and I listened to every word! I feel bad for those young kids going to prison.

@virgilwimberly2071 locking down won't help; that only agitate inmates. And those few COs can't watch every inmate every second of the day like you gotta leave your area for certain reasons, which give the amount time to do what they're gonna do. Inmates have time, and the staff don't.

I grew up with someone who was sent to limestone prison for a year and half and he was raped on a regular basis. His mom said he woke up nightly when he got home having night terrors. He was never the same after that. He never went back but he died from overdose in the end.

My cousin was a prison guard for years, but he quiet because his mental wellness finally catch up with him. Seeing so many ugly things in prison.
The problem isn’t prison culture; it’s the culture in general. Men are rewarded for being alpha. Sexual prowess is celebrated. That doesn’t disappear when they go to prison. People think it’s soft for a man to be vulnerable or have emotional intelligence. They don’t acknowledge that the lack of such things is what creates violence and hostility.
