I called a guy who served with me in the same prison and he said come with us we are making money here! I was wanting to! 2 weeks later I called and his mother answered and said he was dead. Died from a gun shot wound to the head. She asked me why I did not come to the funeral. I felt bad because she wanted me to tell her what happen and who killed her son.

@@38gambino i was blessed to have family support. I stayed with my family rent free and a few of my bro’s pitch in to get me a $3000 car to get around. I know not everyone have these advantages but work with what you got. Anyhow I started watching youtubes and reading a lot of real estate books. Finally I went for my real estate license. Timing was everything too. Right when I became an agent the real estate market started to pick up again. It was around 2011-12. My first commissioned wasn’t much but It was something. Here’s where the fun began. I met a lot of people who was making serious money. I met One guy who was a real estate investor gave me an opportunity to find him a fixer upper. The knowledge I got from him was way more valuable than the $4k commission I made from finding him the flip. I took a break from being an agent and started finding fixer upper for myself. My first flip I doubled my money and from there I bought 2 flip. Man I tell you something. Once you get the ball rolling you’re good. My advice is to take risk, live below your means, and be an expert at something. Forget being mediocre at different things. Just be really good at one thing. My one thing was flipping houses. I know I’m all over the place writing this comment but this is my story in a nutshell.

The prisons i was at didnt allow a felon to go to college to be a Dr. You cant become a Dr here in the states when a felon. I ve looked into it. Theres noone who was ever a felon in the united states that could go to college to be any Dr. Maybe he became one in another country but not here he didnt. @NL Q with all due respect there are multiple variables that play a part in young men being incarcerated. Parenting is not always the cause. My nephew grew up in a 2 parent household. Father is military and both parents are educators. He went to a private Catholic school until high school. He played soccer, baseball and lacrosse. All of his aunts and uncles are either military or college educated. He begged to go to public high school. I think he went through an identity crisis. He had positive black men in his life but he felt like he wasn't authentically black. Long story short he got arrested with a new friend that already had a record he was 18 to us he was still a kid. He didn't even wash his own clothes. To the law he was a man so on his first arrest he got 7 years fed time. That's time almost all the way to the door. He is becoming a man in prison. I worked in Corrections his grandmother retired from Corrections with 30 years in. His grandfather was a Baltimore city police and a minister. Long story short he had all the things people say will keep a boy out of prison but here we are taking phone calls from my nephew who I can't even visit because of Covid. I stay scared everyday. Naw wasn't us it was his choices. Please don't put that on a parent that's reckless be kind.
I know how you feel I have one but whoever made the Statement parenting has nothing to do with them going to prison I know I raise my kids but when they get out In them streets I thank the Lord my son let's me know It's not your fault mama.
I spent 6hrs in county jail for stealing $2000 from my job when I was 19. It was the worse 6hrs of my life. I haven't touched nobody else shit again. That was enough for me. I'm 39 now with 3 businesses.

My son went to prison at the age of 23 he did 10 years no we did 10 years, because I was with him every walk he made in there,he gotten out and now he has a blessed job ,he went in 2003,came out 2013 and he doing great by the grace of God ,you keep your head up and let go and let GOD ,he carried our Cross so we wouldn't have to, stay focused and spread all of the love that was given to you help those that's still struggling

My brother went to prison at 18 and and served 15 years. He came out got a job with the Park Service in New Jersey and never looked back. Thank you for sharing your experience Juman. All the best to you!!
Truly a blessing when you have youre time back. Time stops in prison. Only thing to do is visualize a better way for when and if you do get out. Jail conditions you to a certain routine. When a person comes out it's game time. The hardest part is breaking the prison mentality. The mentality serves well if it's used well. Support and having the resources needed to readjust and than an action plan to reach goals, it's really beautiful to see. Sending good vibes through and through! I know people who have gone in, come out, got a new charge, went back, came out, went back again, and finally came out and got it right. He has his career, his family, his freedom, and opportunities are available.

After doing 31 years in prison a person will most definitely be institutionalized .. He will have to reprogram himself... Counseling and support from family and friends will help ... Keep going brother you are doing great ...
Welcome home bro👍😂😂. I spent 31 years in prison myself went in at 21 and was paroled at the age of 52 ( July 1979 to 2010 ). Lost both parents during that journey ( I am the only child ). My mom's dying declaration was: For me too promise her that I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THE GUN. Long story short I went back on a drug violation ( God blessed me I went to a drug treatment program fir 96 days ). Right now I have keys to My Church, I am a group leader in my church, I mentor individuals that are re-entering society ( Jail & Prison ) a few of my homies that has been paroled. Find your self a Good Church or organization that is involved in the youths.... I am living testimony that God is Real my Brother ( I live in Rochester NY ). Once again Welcome Home ( watch these women out here also- we are Men and the booty can definitely lead you astray, speaking from experience on this subject ).

I did 4 hours due to a warrant for a delinquent traffic ticket... I sat in the holding cell and gained so much knowledge by speaking to drug addicts and other real criminals that were repeat offenders. Prison preserves you in a weird twisted way. I turn 49 in a week, and dont even have a grey hair. Doing a long bit is like dying. Everyone on the street eventually forgets about you and all you have is yourself. I used to lift everyday, run, play ball whatever when I wasnt in the hole. Guys in there, or alot of them, took good care of themselves cause thats the only thing they had control of...it was like being frozen in time
I can totally relate to this man. As a female I’ve been home just about going on 1 month. I was sentenced to 16 yrs and never did I think I’d make it home . Same thing lost good time thought whatever was going to get me through I did to 16:03 servive took some hard falls days lost but mainly me holding myself back longer I had to make the decision to do the time. 9 yrs into my sentence. My life turned for the better. I found my purpose behind the test of imprisonment and 5 yrs later God would open the doors for me! I sought his kingdom and he gave me the desires of my heart. Today as I’m working my way through society and this new technology I’m at peace with who I’ve become today. To him I give all glory. It was in prison where I found my talents, my gifts, and my calling. I took everything I was offered to better myself as a woman. Unless you have walked in anyone of our shoes I say this don’t ever judge a book by it’s cover God realest treasures are in prison. Artists , Chefs, Teachers . I came out with diplomas in Psychology , Social work, and sum and this would have never happened had I not went to prison. Congratulations to all those who survived what man thought would brake us.

Why give "God" credit for something you put the drive into. You will go further in life by thanking and praising yourself for persevering. Give credit where its really due, if you real about it.
God had his back all through that sentence

How did u get started
God is able. Sometimes hearing certain stories about lock up can be depressing and frightening; especially when your loved one is incarcerated. Maybe you should just pray and support until he return. Then go back and educate yourself on the gruesome things he overcame!!!! God is able....give it to him.
I know how you feel I have one but whoever made the

Truly a blessing when you have youre time back. Time stops in prison. Only thing to do is visualize a better way for when and if you do get out. Jail conditions you to a certain routine. When a person comes out it's game time. The hardest part is breaking the prison mentality. The mentality serves well if it's used well. Support and having the resources needed to readjust and than an action plan to reach goals, it's really beautiful to see.

I did 10 years in California. Got out and started my own lawn maintenance company. Now I'm making 6 figures a month

It’s no coincidence that black people are serving these long term sentences

Damn, this dude is interesting! Write a book man! Whatever it is, you’re going to do alright.
I’m a black strong woman, that did time in the 1985, we was eating good inside of prison then we had real money on prison ground, I was driving 18 wheelers before I went in, I was raised up in prison as a young girl I was like you, I was driving the pick up around the ground as a good inmate, I did get all the certificates they had to offer, good that I did that because when I got out I used one doing mechanic shop, I did mechanic inside prison, this was also good going with my trucking business, I had to fight, had to steal, had to walk with my heart under my shoes, I like what you say, I don’t have to prove nothing to no one, just myself, that’s what I did, so keep that mine frame and you will be fine out in the free world, may God keep Blessings you, love your story.
I dnt knw how I got here but I’m glad I watched it... stay blessed brother 💯

And now the powers that be want to wipe out the middle class so all these business owners best be ready to shut. We're all prisoners and the way they make us think we're free is the illusion of choice

When you go to prison expecting to know people there something is wrong with our society.
I wish I can sit and talk with him. You can learn a lot from people like him. He’s found peace and I’m happy for him.

@@BigL0824 Hello and thank you so much! 🥰😁
For the first 7 years of my life, the ONLY time I seen my dad was behind prison fences. It didn’t dawn on me at 7 yrs old that I’d see “Florida department of Corrections “ EVERYTIME I seen him. My dad served from 87 until 90 and then 91 until 98. My dad finally got his life on track and hasn’t looked back since. I love u dad 💖💋
Thank God he got his life back. It’s the children that I feel sorry for.
I did 4 hours due to a warrant for a delinquent traffic ticket... I sat in the holding cell and gained so much knowledge by speaking to drug addicts and other real criminals that were repeat offenders. I heard things I had no clue about...I prayed for those folks after I left, and called their family for them to pass along a message when I left. It’s sad.
The Lord preserved you for His purpose . Repent and turn to the Lord. Your story may turn some body's life around. God bless you Sir.
U repent
Amen
Absolutely, he has a testimony of how Jesus kept him through it all.
Fuck off religious idiot
Real Talk
I’m from NJ I was 16 and got arrested and didn’t come home til I was 19. I have been talking to juveniles incarcerated ever since I’m 34 now .
the way he tells his story is so vivid to me like you can actually see it as he is describing it so articulate. Good watch seriously tho ❤️
This man is spitting FAX.... Listen to this man if your curious about the life or if you have family in it. One of the most honest representation of what it feels like to be a criminal or convict

My dude doesn't even look old enough 2 have been down that long
10 yes younger with 20 yrs on a regular job in the outside world, Im looking more stressed than him. 🤔😧😔

Right!! He looks like he's 40 to me... & That's only cause I see grey in his beard. If he dyed his beard black this cat could easily pass for 30.
That’s cuz in prison you work out and get a lot of sleep...less problems than in the outside world (rent, bills kids) etc
@@blizzmiller2168 makes sense. I never thought about it that way.
7 and a half years went in at 17 got out at 24 almost 25, came home flew straight , I have managed several companies as well as in the making of owning my own company with my fiancé , I can say Georgia state prison humbled me and turned my life around before it was too late thank the man upstairs for watching over me all this time , here I am now 30 and I couldn’t be more blessed
My fiancé got sentenced 25 to life this year. I pray He makes it out. God Bless everyone in prison & those that made it out.

Sezz Bo no... nothing wrong with some gray and everybody ain tryna look younger than they are.

@@MrsBryant1024 gives the best head call me
I can totally relate to this man. God bless you
Way to go. So happy for you
