    Another excellent video. You’re quickly becoming my go-to guy for Force techniques.

    Well done as usual Tom, keep them coming, always learning new things from someone who knows how to use the tools rather than bitching about them

    thanks for the video. Is there a PAD mute function for the Drum Programs on the force like on the MPC? I know you can mute tracks but I would want to mute individual sounds of the drums on the fly whilst playing live.

      Yep, you just press mute (or solo) on the pad you want the action to happen.

    Thanks for the video. When you do the search, does it search all samples or do you need to make sure you are in the right directory?

      Search will find whatever’s under the category selected e.g. if you’re under Samples icon, it will find all sample based on the search name i.e. “Bass” under plugins will find things with that word.

    How are you using the monitor showing the screen?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure if I understand the question, but I tend to keep it on KNOBS > SCREEN as that covers most functions.

    Love these tutorials!
    I had a question: is there a setting to get the mute/solo functions to quantize in the same way that the clip launch quantization works? I’d love to be able to, say, press the solo button on the drum track for a drum break, and have it take effect at the end of the next bar, or loop, or whatever. Same with unsoloing/unmuting.
    I’ve tried to do it by being precise with my timing, but I find that if I’m even a tiny bit off (as I often am) it sounds really awkward and unnatural.
    Thanks for the videos!

      Cheers, unfortunately there’s nothing like that on the Force. I suppose because you can use automation or the amazing step sequencer to get really precise stuff, they just assume folks will use that.

    Hey Nice Things great useful information as usual. What buttons combo get the launch pads to show up above the drum program, like you have it, so I don't have to navigate there with the touch screen?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Press LAUNCH + NOTE at the same time.

    Hello Good Day Sir,
    I am Thomas Kurumasseri from India, South Indian,Kerala. I am a Musician.
    I have few queries regarding Akai Force.
    The issue is in the clip. Can we put Time Signature in clip?
    so that the programming gets easier. Changing bars at a time with different time is difficult right now. If Time Signature is implemented in clip we can change tempo and tune bars as desired. Example: if it's in 4/4 or 3/4 beat and have to go to 6/8 or 7/8 in same clip... if time Signature is implemented it's easy to move and place it on track easily, which is helpfull for drum either keyboard.
    Please suggest a solution for this
    We need a complete MPC Sequence set. MPC software sequence is the best.
    Right now instead of (TC)Time correct please implement (TS)Time Signature.
    Please do help
    Thankyou

    Nice vid! I got a question about the Force.
    I just recorded a vocal sample from my phone into the Force, sliced it up, and converted to a drum program. Now i want to record a clip with the slices, but when i hit a pad, it keeps playing the whole slice, even after releasing the pad, the slice keeps playing till the end. What i want to do is, that the slice stops playing upon release of the pad? Is this possible? Is there a settings for this? Or do i have to slice it to perfect length? I hope this makes sense 💪🏻

      You’re nearly there, you just forgot to change one thing; go to LFO MODULATION page, and change ONE SHOT to NOTE ON. This means it will only take the info you give it when the pad is held, same for midi note lengths.
