  • This video shows how to create a full song on the Akai Force using only 1 drum track. The project file is available for purchase.
    Project File contains samples I've made from various of my synthesizers and drum machines. In the video you find how it's best used. You can use it to create new songs, if you put some effort into it and make it your own :)
    Get it here:
    impulsationsou...
    To access the macros, hold the "KNOBS" button for a few seconds and press "TRACK" on the touchscreen. hint: It's the icon with the musical notes above it.
    Hope you like it! When you do, consider subscribing to help me grow my channel ;)
    If you want sounds for your samplers and synths check out my store at:

    Good video. This was the first technique I explored when I got my Force. I split the 8 columns into sections of two tracks each; bass, synth, drums, vocals/FX. I used this template to play many 2-hour performances on stage, using samples from my Ableton projects.

      Same here! It works great. When you only use one track you could load tracks on the fly even so theoretically go on for hours

      @@Expectaz .. Two such drum tracks and the crossfader, and we're DJ'ing the biggest bangers in the world. I've been planning on a DJ tutorial for years, just never got up to it.

    Hey Expectaz, really nice work and thanks for showing another part of your process. I just bought the project file to support your work, always nice to see how other people set up their projects and you certainly don't ask for too much.

      Thanks a lot for the support! It’s one of my workflows and you can easily make longer live sets like this and rearrange later if you want

    Looks like a great machine man! It seems u know your way around it too. Like the oldksool trance vibes with the techno grooves.

      Those are the styles I’m really into 😁 The Force is really powerful but different than Elektrons for example. Elektron is more like an instrument whereas the Akai feels more like a computer 😁

    This is really cool but man, I wish you didn't have to hold the mute button to toggle mutes on pads. Could really use that hand for something else like unmuting other tracks or using macros.

      Totally true! The MPC does it, so the Force should also be able to do it. Haven't found a way using shift or something unfortunately

    How do you make round robin pads?

    • @Expectaz
      @Expectaz  วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can assign a sample to every layer and set the program to “cycle”

  • @adriansmithmusic

    This jam is fire Expectaz! How would you deal with eq for each part when using one track though? Are maybe you simply dont! Haha

    • @Expectaz
      @Expectaz  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Most of the parts I record the sounds with the eq already baked in. But for the others you can have 4 effects per part! 8 if you send them to sub groups. So you are as versatile as with audio tracks but with the flexibility of samples.

    • @Expectaz
      @Expectaz  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@adriansmithmusic Especially the bass consists of 2 sounds in this jam and I eq-ed them both separately

      @@Expectaz that's great thanks! I hope Akai releases a proper parametric EQ some time, with an analyzer you can enable or disable to save CPU.

      Hapax seems really nice. I have an Oxi One here but don’t use it much yet. Force has the benefit that it can sample and has plugins too 😁
