Ripley wants Burke to go back so she can use him to expose the company's actions on the planet. Burke is such a sleaze that apparently Paul Reiser's mother saw the film in theaters when it came out and SHE cheered when he died. Haha.
The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter and Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott as a 90s kid and an early 2000s kid both of them are my all time favorite sci-fi horror movies and I have considered both of them the greatest sci-fi horror movies ever created and Aliens (1986) directed by James Cameron is my all time favorite sci-fi action and horror movie ever created as well:).
I’ve seen training day, John wick, misery, and seven. But I got you on the rest of those. I deleted the misery reaction from TH-cam on accident so it’s on my Patreon for free if you still want to see it.
As others have said, don't watch any more Alien films if you care about the characters of Newt, Ripley and Hicks. We suffered through Alien 3 so you don't have to. I'm glad you chose to watch the Special Edition. That's the only way to watch Aliens, especially after the game Alien Isolation.
15:15 So, the word Xenomorph just means "Foreign Form" or "Strange Form" it literally just means Alien. The creature has been referred to as a Xenomorph in all Alien related media down the decades, but they are still just calling it "alien" and this creature has never been given a real name. And that is fitting, because to name something is to on some level know that thing and we can NEVER truly know this thing. It is truly *Alien!*
So glad you watched the directors cut, they cut so many good parts for the theatrical version, great reaction. You mentioned The Silence of the Lambs, have you done a reaction to that? Would like to see it. Got a couple of recommendations that I hope you haven't seen. The Cell 2000, Blade Runner 1984, The Hitcher 1986. If you like these I have tons more. Keep it up.
Alien 3 is flawed but really good in some ways. Great cast and performances, great fx, great music, etc. BUT it PISSES people off for a bunch of story reasons and has some rough edges here and there. Again, flawed, but still good. Part 4 Alien Resurrection) is a whole other situation....

If you’re gonna watch The Thing, you gotta watch the original “The Thing from Another World” which is a fantastic film.
The Psycho films, The Omen trilogy, and the Stephen King films Cujo, Christine and The Dead Zone
11:13 Love how the hand looks like one of the face hugger creatures. Amazing imagery and symbolism in these movies.
Bishop (14:04) looks familiar because he played Detective Vukovich ( Lance Henriksen) in The Terminator.
Corporal Hicks is actor Michael Biehm. He was Kyle Reese in The Terminator.😊
Predator films, Jaws films, Seven, My Cousin Vinny, The Thing (original and the recent one), Training Day, John Wick (1-4) and Misery.

Where indeed, this movie was shot at Pinewood studios
31:00💀💀caught me completely off guard. I feel the same way about those cookies. But so many of my friends love the raisin. SMH
Check out Dog Soldiers.
Ima add that to my list.
Steven King dramas: The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption are good. Philadelphia is a drama by the same director as The Silence of the Lambs
