I’m in Year 9 and love Georgrapy. I received an assessment back today on ‘to what extent was the BP oil spill a disatster’ it had 12 possible marks and I got 11. However, my teacher reassured me that if I had a couple minutes more, I would have earned that extra mark. This got me wondering on how to maximise my marks within a short period of time so I looked for some videos on how to get top grades in exams and came across this one. It is an excellent video, very clear and followable. I’m sure it really will help me in the future when I properly start my GCSE course. Thanks!
Thanks mate. Right now I’m on a grade 4 (RIP) and I’m not as smart as I was back then when I could get a grade 5 with no effort. Hopefully I can get an even better grade.
Hi, thank you for making this video (it's really helpful!). Also, quickly wanted to ask is P.E.E.D (Point, Example,Explain,Develop) the same as P.E.E.L (Point, Example, Explain, Link). Do you think i should stick with (what I am currently using) P.E.E.L or change to P.E.E.D
Is there a place where we can access all of the information in Geography that we need to know for our exams? For example, case studies, information on all of the topics etc.
Whilst this video, and many other videos I've produced, are suitable for all exam boards, my Geography channel will cover everything needed for the OCR 'B' syllabus. Just a few bits left...
Pls sir I need help I really want to get a 7 or 9 what websites or tips would u recommend for gcse for eduquas B ….also what websites would I recommend if pls
What exam board is this for? Is it for every exam board? My school uses PDD (Point, Develop, Develop or Point, Detail, Develop) and I find that it's holding me back. Would PEED be better?
this is great but for GCSE there are lots and lots of syllabuses which will be in the exam , whic makes it almost impossible to remember 2-3 points for each bit !!
Do your learning gradually over months and you will remember most of it. The learning can’t be left until the last week or two. Also, use flash cards, mind maps, pictures, mnemonics and rhymes to help you remember - don’t just read the information. For example, I remember that La Niña means rain in Australia through the phrase ‘Nina cries in Australia’. Hope this helps!
I am currently failing a lot of my geography assessments with just under 4 weeks to go until my first geography exam! What shall I focus on and how shall I revise everything else? Any tips would be appreciated all I need is a 5!
@@nikitagoodison6638 I do OCR B as well. The first exam has the compulsory topics of Changing Climate and Distinctive Landscapes, so concentrate on them. Don’t try to learn everything - learn a few key facts for each bit and focus on the case studies. If you look at my play lists I’ve done a playlist for both Changing Climate and Distinctive Landscapes. Good luck!
Yours is a good point! I do think there are only 3 things but, the second one, including case specific detail, involves a lot of learning across every part of the syllabus!

Your BLT paragraphs is an excellent system, which does similar...develops your ideas!

Glad it was helpful! Good luck in your exams and, if you want any help, please message!

This should work for all exam boards! Point develop develop sounds good - just add the detail bit as well.

which exam board is this for?
The principles of developing your answers and including precise detail (as evidence) apply to all exam boards!
nice
only 3 things that’s why like 3% get a grade 9 🤫
