The battle tower theme reminds me a lot of Battle against a true hero. Except it’s less serious. Where as True Hero has this feeling of perseverance and will against grim and near impossible odds, Battle Tower is more of the opposite. It has the same sort of heroic vibe as it’s Undertale cousin. But since this song isn’t used in a dark scenario and is debatably played for the player, the slow part of the song conveys nostalgia over the journey rather than bitter acceptance of an inevitable defeat. Like it’s saying “You did it! You’re the champion. But you can still get better from here!”

You're the hero he couldn't be, the saviour of Galar. Everyone's already rooting for you - you've won. The Battle Tower's theme gives me the vibe of someone having lost everything, but never giving up and always fighting back against the tide to reclaim what they once had, just like Leon and his determination to surpass you and reclaim his spot as Champion again. The change at 4:51 is so good! The relief from the constant tension by shifting from synth to strings and light piano allows the song to sizzle in its own flames before returning to the blazing intensity. It's those small moments that are just so delicious in the course of the song, including the sudden calm before that incredible guitar at 6:55. Man, why did you save those awesome moments till the end!
The best part of this entire piece is when the Hoenn Trumpets come out They aren’t here, but the snare drums giving a feeling of marching band is a worthy replacement
I feel like this would've been a great Champion theme. It's just I hardly ever do the battle faclities because doing battle after battle starts to bore me eventually, so I barely ever hear it outside of remixes. But I'm willing to do it for the Battle Tower if it's just so I can defeat Leon and have him become available to battle in the Champion Cup
I almost never listen to this because every time i’m playing battle tower i set the music to other battle themes i hear only once in game (leon’s theme, hop final theme, marnie final theme, bede’s theme and etc.)
not sure if anyone else hears this but: as much as i want to love this remix, there are some parts where you can hear this audible squeaking noise (Example at 0:19) and it just drives me insane and i have no clue what on earth causes that. No other remix ive heard causes this so something in the remix itself is probably the cause.
Master Ball difficulty Leon is weirdly difficult for me but also not really. I managed to beat him with an in-game rental team but not with my own competitively trained Pokémon.
