- Hello! People were recommending that I should make a remix of this song. I see why it's recommended by a lot. The song is amazing and so catchy. Please enjoy my rendition of this song. :)
The style of this remix is accidental. I was supposed to make a hi-tech remix of this, but I played around with the piano chords and came up with something that reminds me of rhythm game songs. This remix is inspired by BlackY, with their style of piano + drum patterns.

That's a really good point. In other regions it's still competitive, but if you beat someone else who's aiming for the league, that's just a slight setback for them, maybe a sign that they need to train more. But here, with the formalised comp, you're in direct competition, and you winning means that someone else, who's come so far, poured so much of their life into this event, is just *out*. It's not even clear if they can try again. That's gotta be super demoralising.

@@thatpoemguy2083 this is why i hated competitive sports. once you establish that there have to be a whole lot of losers, it stopped being fun.
i never noticed before you pointed it out why i love the other pokemon games' structuring so much. because the badges and e4 are a linear progression that every trainer follows in their own time, instead of a tournament, it allows for everyone to have a shot at the elite four and champion if they keep trying long enough.
it would have been nice if the swsh story had a mechanic that allowed for the knocked out competitors to still have a "win" as it were, instead of pinning so much on there being one victor while everyone else loses out. i don't remember the story of swsh very well (only watched it on a stream), but there was a scene of hop after he lost that really stuck out to me as demoralizing. that would have had a real negative impact on me if i'd played that back when i was a kid who hated basketball tournaments.
eh, i think marnie actually got what she wanted. I believe she entered in hope to impress her brother to show she can be the dark type gym leader.
Hop got absolutely dunked on though, ngl feel bad for him but i think he resolved it in the end.
Lets write an analysis:
Hop: Slapped a impossible amount of times, so much so he constantly changed teams until he found out what was wrong
Marnie: Alright outcome, though her loss at the tournament stopped her from becoming champion, ever
Bede: Despite everything, he's still narcissistic
Leon: Annoyed at first, but got over it quickly. Also dialling his clothing style back a century
Maybe the Remakes in Approx. 17 years will use Marnie more

gen 1 remakes took 8 years apart, gen 2 took 10 years, gen 3 took 12 years and if the gen 4 release next month it would took 14 years.
If we can take something from this is that the function of the time apart from remakes is f(x)=6+2*x where x is the generation, that would mean it would take 22 years for gen 8 years.

Marnie's last battle actually made me fell kinda bad for her
"atleast win a way that doesn't make me look so pathetic" but it was the only part that this game made me feel like crap for stomping someone.

I've been doing a nuzlocke with dynamax raid battles between gyms just to level pokemon to at gym level... yeah, without being able to build a proper team... it gets harder but im a casual trainer.... XD

Honestly, I think Sword and Shield had too many rivals. I think it would've been really neat to see Hop's main rival be Bede instead of the character player, because they clash much more naturally. I think it would be cool to see them both win and lose against each other, but have Bede keep at it despite any losses (mostly due to his obsession with helping Chairman Rose), which would make Hop feel the same as in canon, where he loses faith in himself. However, by battling with you, he'd realize he just has more to learn and that losing battles doesn't necessarily make him less of a trainer. While this would be happening, your character and Marnie would be rivals, though it'd be a more friendly relationship in comparison. Although it would be nice to see a version of Marnie who has similar problems losing, hence making Team Yell make sense as they've been sent by her brother to cheer her on and keep her spirits up, which would be a good way of not only showing just how much Piers cares, but would also show how he kind of underestimates and babies her. Much like Hop and Bede, she'd need to learn to accept losing and come into her own without the support of her brother or Team Yell. I think it would be really cool to have battles where you can lose, or even potentially scripted battles to lose against her, since it would make her feel like a real rival - like you're both on such a similar level that either could win. But that's just me.
tbh it would be cool if there was battles that you can/you're suppose to lose cuz it adds more possibilities for character development and stuff like that- pkmn sword/shield was a good game, but it felt kinda short and lacking in story
@@skwidmunkee5840 Honestly! I understand what they’re going for in giving you battles you need to win, but being able to lose them is really cool too! There’d need to be some kind of in-world reaction to your loss, like maybe you don’t get to encounter higher level pokemon for longer, or something of the sort, but it would still be really neat to see.
