FIRST TIME Playing KINGDOM HEARTS | Blind Playthrough Part 1

Quick story: I went to an anime convention called Anime Central and I found the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix for only $13 for the PS3. I have a PS3 in my basement that I haven't played in a LONG time and I thought that this would be a great time to pick it back up. Then once I got home, I put in the game and then I realized...there are NO settings to change it from Japanese to English T_T
So then I decided to buy the ENGLISH version off of Amazon, which was only $4 more and now here we are!
I have NEVER played this game before and am SO HYPED to finally play this! Join me on my magical journey!

Just wanted to let you know that the 3 games you have in this collection are not the 3 main titles. KHs main games are always named KH + a number while the side games are called KH + a surname. The problem is that all KH titles are canon and important for the overarching plot. So to get the whole story you have to play all the games and/or watch the cutscene compilation of the ones wich you dont want to play yourself or that arent playable in these collections. (Because two KH games are not remade to this day but are represented in these collections as cutscene movies). Of course a story summary on YT for the respective game would also be okay but isnt as immersive as the other options and especially KH lives of being immersed in the characters and their story.
Another sidenote would be that the 3 games you have are not in the correct order you should play the games! The third title in this collection named 358/2 Days (wich is a cutscene movie btw) should not be played after chain of memories. KH2 (wich isnt in this collection you have) should be played before 358/2 Days because KH2 released before 358/2 Days. That means that 358/2 Days contains heavy spoilers for KH2. So I HIGHLY recommend getting the other collection with KH2 in it and playing KH2 before going back to this collection and watch the 358/2 Days movie.

I have the 2.5 remix coming tomorrow so I’ll make sure to play KH2 in that one before I play the 358/2 cutscene movie! So then would I play the 2nd game in 1.5 remix right after this first game then?
@@EmmanuelLKD The correct order of all the games would be KH1, Chain of Memories, KH2, 358/2Days, Birth by sleep, Recoded, Dream Drop Distance, 0.2 Birth by sleep,(Union X and Dark Road)*, KH3 and then Melody of Memories.
*Then there are 2 mobile phone games wich are important for the story as well. They got shot down a few years ago so you have to watch a cutscene compilation/story summary for them on YT. They are called KH Union X and KH Dark Road. Union X should be watched first after you played Dream Drop Distance or 0.2 birth by sleep but only to a certain point (wich sadly I dont know right now but maybe your community can help you when you reach that point). The problem with Union X is that it was still ongoing before and after KH3 released. So you have to watch a part of Union X, stop, play KH3 and then continue with Union Xs story. So you cannot be spoiled or confused because you are missing information from KH3. After you finished KH3 and Union X you can watch the Dark Road cutscenes on YT. Melody of memories however can be played right after playing KH3 even if you are not finished yet with the mobile phone games.
And not really important for you now but KH4 is already in development as well as a now mobile phone game wich continues the story of the other mobile phone games. KH4 also has a first trailer already but I would recommend checking it out at the end of the journey.
But until you did everything from my first comment this doesn't really matter for you. Just thought it would be a useful little side note so you are updated to the status quo.

There are two main play orders if you care
I advocate for chronological order
Most people prefer release order,
But find which ever order you want and prefer and stick to it.
Each have pros and cons do just take your time and have a blast, you are in for a ride.
