You should give the regular Devi8 2 a try. The plate is kind of muted which I like in a daily trainer. They’ve been starting to show up along with the Magnify, Forever Run, velocity and Fast-R at the local discount chains in the US for $39.99 USD. Puma seems to run small for me so I went a half a size up, it’s a real banger of a shoe. I have the Elite 2 as well in the same color way….
I’m an experienced runner with loads of running shoes and these are a great versatile shoe. One of the very few shoes I have bought another pair rather than trying something else.
Great review, fun shoe but a bit narrow for men size for men.. Great discounts.. I do feel my calfs getting sore running slow in them. The plate is very stiff so good for faster paces.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It may be worth sizing a little bit up then in that case if you are a man looking at this shoe. I can’t say I’ve experienced any calf pain as yet but I will update you all if that changes!
I agree with you about the tread, I would even like it down the middle of the shoe at the back too; even if it does make it a little heavier. I worry about the exposed foam on stoney paths found in country park areas so avoid them. Regardless, I still like them.
i kinda want these but as slower guy i probably dont need a carbon I'm all about ultraboosts, UB22, UB21 cold ready, UB22 cold ready (underrated!), and my favourite special day UB19. So I always run with tanks well above 300 grams but they last really long 😆
I actually have a pair of Ultraboost x Lego shoes in my casual rotation! Never ran on an ultraboost but I might have to try a pair! I have seen some people suggest slower runners can benefit just as much from a carbon plate shoe as fast runners so maybe it would be worthwhile trying a pair! Thanks so much for commenting!
Different people are split on wether carbon shoes only benefit fast runners. The general consensus I found when researching is that they still benefit slower runners, even if it’s not as much as a faster runner. The main thing for me is that this shoe is really light and the carbon plate makes me feel faster, so even if it’s a placebo, it’s a placebo that’s working. I have been able to get my PB’s down using this shoe. But that is also due to consistent training. A shoe can help, but no shoe is a replacement for consistent training 👍
@@RunningWithGeorgia thank you! i’ll just give it a go then. i will do my first marathon in borobudur marathon next november. hope with consistent training and this puma shoes will help me get my first marathon finishers medal
@@saruman6801Do yourself a favor and get the regular Devi8 Nitro 2 for your training miles as well, it’s the Elite’s sister shoe. You might actually like it better than the Elite 2 for what you’re looking for.
Lovely thanks for the review bro you got a sub haha🙏
Well done, girl! ✔️ 👏

I agree, more durable grip is always a plus! These are still my favourite shoes, hopefully the next update is even better!
