There's a lot you can do with the cheap Ramen Noodles packs without using the sodium heavy condiment packet it comes with. Boil, drain all the water, two tablespoons of olive oil or canola oil and sprinkle black pepper and yummy! Boil, drain all the water and mix it with beef stew. Boil, drain all the water and mix it with cooked rice.

The best way to make bagged microwave popcorn is to run the paper bag under cold water, wetting all sides, then microwaving normally. This helps the popcorn from burning and also produces more popped kernels as more steam introduced.

more steam equals chewy kernals. when making popcorn in a pan/pot take the lid off as soon as possible to release steam see how much crunchier your popcorn is..

I've used the ramen noodles with ground meat (or tofu) and a sauce mixed from soy sauce, ginger and a few other ingredients. Toss it with some cooked frozen veggies (especially broccoli or bok choi or spinach) and it's great!

instant ramen is 100% a buy. costs 25 cents and you can add a ton of things to make it restaurant-worthy, like mushrooms, tofu, veggies, citrus, bean sprouts, egg, etc. ramen from a restaurant will cost about 30-50 times that and probably have just as much salt.

I agree. If you think about it, everything is unhealthy. Cheese is filling, and calories sustain life. A science article I read said when you are starving the body needs fat and fat dense foods in order to survive. It’s not like we live on grilled cheese sandwiches. You would develop mal nutrition. Also peanut butter has protein even if it’s not raw, or organic. In fact it’s a wonderful food.

So, let me get this straight. Grilled Cheese is a "don't buy" because to make it healthy by buying whole wheat bread and low calorie cheese would be too expensive, but PB&J is a "do buy" because it can be made healthy by buying whole wheat bread, natural peanut butter, and jams? Don't know where you shop, but low fat cheese is way cheaper than Natural Peanut Butter and Jelly/Jam.
