- In this video we show you how to fillet and clean a bluefish! These fish are best eaten fresh within 72 hours of catching. They can have a strong oily taste if not eaten fresh or if frozen.

-Great job on the fillet. and Dexter knives are the best.
-Not only reasonably priced, but do an amazing job of holding an edge.
-The one thing you didn’t mention or show, is the fact that you absolutely must bleed a blue fish right when you catch it.
(as a matter of fact, you should really bleed every variety of fish.
-Tastes so much better and lasts little bit longer in the fridge.
Thanks Bro. You take your time and show exactly how it should be done. I never filleted a fish but after watching your video I feel confident I can do it keep bringing the great content !!!!
Q
What a great job on this tutorial. Thanks
Victor they way you cook , you can make a shoe taste amazing. You my friend have serious cooking skills.
Thanks Victor.
Your C3 videos are great. I am always impressed by the way you make trash fish delish. Never mind the know betters who have nothing better to say.
Just searching for bluefish videos and the gosh darn legend vic is here 😂 sheeeeesh
We get these in Australia, we call them Tailor. When you catch them bleed them straight away and I mean straight away. It improves the quality of the fish.
This was really helpful, thanks 😊.
thank you for sharing this video great job I will trying it I never did it before hope I be great as you are 😄
Can you do a video on how you sharpen your knives
Caught it today .
Imma do this now.
i love bluefish!
love the vid
You're a surgeon!! Only thing is I like my skin on! Thanks 👍
Would you mind doing a video on how to make a hardhead catfish taste good. I catch so many of them But everytime I try to cook one it just tastes horrible.
Bluefish needs to be immediately bled out and put on ice right after you catch it. It makes a huge difference in taste. Unfortunately this blue wasn't bled out and you can see the pooled blood within the meat which which adds an oily and super fishy flavor. Nice job filleting but please bleed the fish next time.
no its cause he cleaned it wrong
from canyon side tuna to long island sound species ,it's always a good rule to bleed, fillet and cook your catch and enjoy the bounty
Awesome
Thx bro I have to go show my little brother in law how to do this and I need to look like I know what I’m talking about 😭👍🏻
Excellent video! Great teacher for a beginner like me. Thanks! >
if your comenting on the bluefish fillet , he left way too much blood soaked meat on them . that won't taste good
Question if you smoke them does the bloodline removal make a difference?
Did you ever use the bluefish video I did for you?
I’ve been told to bleed the fish as soon as I could is that true and necessary?
Did you end up eating it ?
I know it’s fake I’m foxlovecubs on a different account
thats not a bloodline, false infornation. Its brown fat and does bot cause a fishy taste
Soon as you say a fish is for smoking that means it's not edible why would you eat a blue fish in Florida even on the north east coast we never even brought up blue fish on the boat are you end up with is a bloody mess and a nasty tasting fish
I fished all day only ended up with a nice bluefish. Took it home and fried it up like I would Lake fish back home in Minnesota. It was actually not bad just very oily like river trout.
@@allenseferagic9426 i ate them the smaller ones are good when there nasty is when there in the bunker chum
no way is that right and it's not "fillay" it's fillet that rhymes with skillet ...and here in Australia we call these Tailor ...Why you want to make an easy job complicated beats me ...
