Yeah this is the result of driving 3.5 hours to tag and plans falling through, like I’ve told a couple people… this whole thing was solely for audio tests… right? Right lol
Yo MD! U nearly gave this 63 yr old grandmother a heart attack! 😜 But hey, I totally get the adrenaline rush thingy, cos I’m not ur average granny - my passion is chasing storms. Scary awesome and I’m gonna keep doing it until I need a Zimmer frame lol! Stay safe Dude - love what u guys do … Cheers From Down Under … 😁🌴🌴🌴
DUDE NO WAY!!!! I’ve been seeing a lot of storm chasing videos and actually really want to get into it!! How are the storms in Australia? Hey thanks for tuning in these kinds of comments make my day :)
@@Mineral_dude Haha, yeah our storms Down Under (I’m based in Darwin) can be brutal, but absolutely mind blowing to shoot! We have 2 seasons up here, the "wet" and the "dry". Prior to the wet we get the "build up" - that’s when our storms go off! Mostly lightning and very little rain. Once the monsoon sets in we sit at home and sulk until we get the end of season "knock ‘em downs". Then it’s game on for the tail enders. Storm chasing is addictive. First chase for me was 2013. Never missed a season since then. Love ur channel Dude …. 😜
I SCUBA alone often. I don't bring a pony tank either. People freak out about it. I think the buddy system is to sell more certifications. I don't think what you are up to is wrong as long as someone knows what you are doing.
Out of all my caver friends who I cave I think only 2 of them would have even been able to do anything if something happened anyway 🤷♂️ at the end of the day we are full grown adults and can make big decisions like this - hey if we fail it’s on us? (Actually that might be selfish to think that way cause I have a wife and some direct family who would be devastated if I fell 200 feet into a cave)
@@Mineral_dude well, you were solo...isn't that what is the Cardinal Rule? Jes sayin'....as a kid, went spelunking BT in Alabama ...born in Selma the year Rock n Roll was born (either Elvis or Little Richard) '55..also the best Chevy Bel-Air. Thanks I'm almost 69 now and you doing the hard work and all I have to do is clutch my heart hahaha
You've clearly got the skills to get yourself in and out of that pit, the only extra precaution you might have been able to apply is to tell a caver friend that you'll be at that cave and that if you don't text them by X time, to come and check in. they may get mad that you're going solo, but they'd appreciate that you thought ahead.
Jay 😮 I'm proud of you but you sure do know how to raise someone's anxiety. Holy cow bruh don't get me wrong its beautiful all that flowing flow stone but not worth taking the chance by yourself. Stay safe and tell Mrs. K hello. 💓
Well maybe if Alex had not misled me with a project that fell through last minute I wouldn’t be soloing pits 🤣 nah jk he let me know a couple days before I just wanted to do something new
@@Mineral_dude well understood. On solo holes just be careful. What kinda gloves do you normally use? And when I see him he will have something for Mrs K.
Getting flashbacks to watching the ActionAdventureTwins and the cave flooding. Though you know it's going to be good when a video tells you not to recreate the activities. Keep up the great work dude.
I was thinking about this, this morning. And it is about as spot on as it gets considering Edward loves water and I love being on rope 😂 both of us in our natural habitats in each video
@@Mineral_dude No, the summers are the best place to be in Michigan, it's not like Detroit, lol. You can't beat Lake Mi beaches and the Dunes at Silver lake. It's our secret.
Nah, I'm not so nervous when I see you doing this. You have enough experience under your belt. Of course it can go wrong, but with you the chances are very very small. This cave is epic btw! The wetter it is the cooler it gets. Not from my own experience btw but from other video's I've seen. This cave seems to be famous in the cave community. For a good reason btw!
Kinda my mindset going into that, was gear failure is so freakin rare that I wasn’t too stressed, only thing dangerous would be if I hadn’t used that rebelay and just rigged from the tree - that or I had a muscle spasm on rope and got stuck for awhile but Ryan and Cade where on standby for this one
I just stumbled upon you last week, let me tell you ..... I've watched HOURS AND HOURS already!!!!! I've subbed here and four others so far, theres only so much time i have to watch everything you guys are posting!!! I'll get there soon, trust me!!! You guys are just too much fun to watch!!! Back when i was younger a friend of mine and I would go wandering through the old mines in Kansas City Kansas, in Argentine where they dug out insane amounts of silver from a massive, miles long hill!!! Its so much fun scaring the crap out of yourself like that!!! It's so hard to describe! I'm inspired again though because of you and the crew, I started a savings account for some equipment, its only a matter of time before I'm back to it and having some fun! Thanks for posting! I'm wondering exactly what the salamanders eat when they live in a place like that??? Obviously there is something but what is it??? SO WILD!!!!!!
Dude this comment is kinda nostalgic for me, right before I hit the ground caving super duper hard I did the same thing you did but with the AAT. If my tv was on in my house then pov caving was playing on it… for MONTHS, you live in kinda a crappy spot for caving unfortunately where everything is just far enough to be quite the drive but not far enough to where things are unreasonable, southern Indiana has some incredible caving up there and hey if you need some help getting into it just holla at me on Instagram, obviously I gotta say don’t do shit like in this video 😅 but also if you look at the description there’s a link and a code you can save some money on caving gear with, good luck :)
I respect your ambition to adventure alone. Illustrates your confidence and ability level, but still, super risky. Hope you let someone know where you were going. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
It's badass how you show the whole vert experience from getting packs out of the whip to the rigging, rappel and ascend!! very unique format compared to your mates I like the seeing the little stuff other guys would've cut out
dang man once you started climbing u got real fast good to take breaks in between and catch your breath thats got to be a world record u climbed up like 250ft or 300 in 4 minues
I just thought; You reached bottom and jokingly shouted: Off Rope!! Then some psychopath in the woods who was watching you quickly pulls up the rope. 😨 Does S*** like that ever invade your thoughts?? Yeah, maybe I've watched too many horror movies.😅 I'm relieved you made it out alive! Btw, I've been subbed for a while now and just never comment... I talk too much lol sorry for writing a book! ✌️😁
Do any of y'all carry a co2 warning device or a bird in a cage to make sure you don't die , because if your on rope you wont know when you pass out.....
MD, that WAS intense! And don't you ever... There, I told you, nuff said. Thank you for including the entire climb out, in the video. Obviously you had plenty of time to think, on the way up. With the bouncy rope, and adrenaline, fear must have been intense. The exertion..., and mental focus, impressive dude!
Okay, that was a bit sketch. Love your videos, but this one made me nervous. In the end, when it comes to vertical SRT, we’re all caving alone. As long as you told someone where you were going and when you’d be back, you’d be covered. I’ve solo caved before, and as foolhardy as it seems, you’re still more likely to buy it in a car wreck getting to the cave than in the cave itself. Just statistics. You’re a competent caver, but it isn’t something I’d do very often. The odds catch up to you eventually. Glad you’re okay. 👍🏻
For all the people who have done things by themselves that they shouldn't have that were too scary because it was raining too much and everybody else was busy!
WHY WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT YOU NEW BETTER BUT THOUGHT A VIDEO WAS MORE INPORTANT THEN YOURE SELF .YOURE LOVED ONES JUST DID NOT CARE EXCPET FOR THE MONEY.I AM THINKING OF UNSUBSCIBING YOU GIVE A BAD NAME TO REAL CAVERS WHO DO IT RIGHT TAKE SOME LEASONS FROM ADVENTURE TWINS.
Friggin fantastic fun for Mud Otter 😊
I keep seeing this mud otter comment is that solely coming from you??
Waot, FIRST solo pit?! Put that in the title haha.
Ure good at it like The Adventure Twins! U know what u r doing ! But yes, u should have a buddy with u !! Nice vid !! 👌 🤘🤘
Maybe one day!
Were you out at Speleofest last week?
