Thank you, only go in alone as a last resort, unfortunately being solo isn’t going to stop my plans - call it natural selection??? 😂 seriously though I only solo caves I’ve been in already and I’m confident about
Dude thank you for another lowkey video of cave exploration, thank you for showing us stuff like the , some of us people out here don't have the physical and or mental strength to ever see such amazing sights.
Thank you brother!! I'm in Tennessee and it's been 25 years since I've been. I'm 62 but in good shape, yes you've absolutely got my juices flowing...I know there's plenty of caves here...lets see where things lead me!
@@Scarfire1977 just holler at me I’ll be around, hope the gardens going good! We’ve got a couple dozen tomatoes about ready to pick gardening is so good for the soul :)
This is like when I go solo backpacking into the wilderness of Colorado into the high altitude forests. They are either short and dense, or tall and spaced. Either way, it's a rush.
Oh man that sounds wild!!! Nature is its purest form up there I used to go to Colorado a lot when I was younger, have fun and stay safe, thanks for the support as always 😉
Love your caving videos. I have always been curious about caves but never had the time or means to go spelunking when I was young. Now at 70+ I'm too old and feeble so I watch you young folks on video. From northern Indiana it's at least a six hour drive to anywhere with caves. Up here the limestone bedrock (and any possible cave) is buried under several hundred feet of glacial deposits. And it rains a helluva lot more than in the past. Climbing up & down in the dark looks dangerous, be safe down there 😊.
All speculation, humans don’t know shit about caves is what I’ve realized, a lot of people think they know what they’re talking about but it’s all just a guess and explain it sounding as smart as possible
If it makes you feel better I’m not solo pit bouncing anymore till I get better rope… I’m not going to tell you I’m NOT EVER going to do it again cause I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, thank you for caring, seriously 🫶😬
Yeah I’ve kinda backed away from pit bouncing solo for a little bit (until I get better rope, waiting on PMIs new stuff) but this horizotonal cave is so cool and big and pretty easy to navigate… except that one part 😂
@@Mineral_dude I don’t blame you. There’s only one cave I will go to alone and only that one because I know it by memory and there’s ladders and ropes that are replaced every year. I plan on going back in a couple months when the waters low. I seen a formation in there that I never noticed had agate bands and quartz and I wanted to get a better look.
Ever back in Indiana and need someone to go caving with definitely willing to go in some horizontal caves. Know of a few that I can get access to. Wanting to get into to caving more and possibly get into vertical.
Hit me up on Instagram so I can put a name to the account, Forsure man I’ll let you know, you met Dave yet? Also I have multiple sets of vertical if you wanna learn how to bounce pits
Why no bread crumb trail, and take the string and have something to giud you back out? Just saying. ❤ Your work. You have helped me to see these wonders. Bless you. Be safe don t solo deep caves,
I’ve always banked on that being the case but one time I got pretty lost for a couple hours and tried watching footage back and it was a disaster, caves are completely “different” going out than coming in
@@Mineral_dudeyikes. That would freak me out too much. When I got lost for a few minutes on hikes I panic a bit but at least, if I’m lucky, I can use GPS, but in a cave what do you do?!
This seems so terrifying. Found you from watching a dive talk video. How on earth do you do it? What do you do if you twist your ankle or get a bad injury?
Hey bro! Like the vids but some positive criticism, when you speed up the cam my brain starts to boil...better if u just jumped to the next part....anyways stay safe man... Epileptic dude...😅😅😅
We are in MA so don't have any caves as big as you do over there. Kind of jealous. At least I can watch something cool before crawling into a tight muddy cave. I'll just pretend I'm with you.
@Mineral_dude we are going to have to get out there soon. Your buddy dave invited us out too but youtube blockes messages with personal information so we never got in touch.
Many different minerals? Please name them! You are nuts to go there by yourself! If you broke a leg, you'd be stuck in there. Yes, I see calcite and flint (since it is dark in color) but no other minerals than selenite. Fluorite is sometimes associated with calcite and selenite (crystal gypsum) but I did not see any.
Even when everything is moist like that? - seriously wanting you opinion here I didn’t notice a bunch of dust in the air so I didn’t think anything of it - normal you can almost taste that stuff
Solo caving is a gamble. Obviously others have to know what cave you're to explore and what part of the cave you'll be in if you have a map. If you don't have a map and don't know the cave then it's probably not wise to go alone because if you did push a crawl and get stuck other cavers even if they knew what cave you were in may not be able to find you. And considering how complicated that entrance is I don't think I will do it by myself. Maybe if the cave had a big opening and some big passage where you couldn't get lost maybe then but not that kind of cave entrance because it looks like some of those rocks are loose it could have fallen on you.
Great video !! Thank You !
You're a brave man..
No way am I going deep in alone.
Sometimes it’s hard to find someone to go with, I am an ex drug addict so this fills the void, need my caves man *scratches neck
You need to be more careful! Please don't hurt yourself alone! Love your content. Thank you!

Thanks for the support! Yeah southern Indiana is prettymuch hollow, makes me wonder how much is down there we haven’t found yet
That’s cool to think about how it’s a rock collapse jamming the top of a deep pit. That would otherwise be a cavernous descent as you said.
All speculation, humans don’t know shit about caves is what I’ve realized, a lot of people think they know what they’re talking about but it’s all just a guess and explain it sounding as smart as possible

Did you end up taking a crystal as a souvenir? You seem extremely considerate of the cave’s environment, but damn, even a saint would be tempted haha

Have you guys caved in Arkansas? I've been looking at land for sale online and there seems to be a bunch with "Caves" on them.
Been wanting to get out there for awhile, the minerals in that state are insane
