There's an abandoned silver mine in Nevada that's got a room that at least comes in second to that, if not bigger. TVR Exploring has a great video with it.
@@Mineral_dude Standing above one . . . since Ive been watching videos like this, my fear would be living above one . . . although of course its most likely stable, but still .
I know this cave-it’s stunning! It is literally something you have to see in person to really understand the scale. So beautiful! Yay! Hi Kelsey! Great job with your rope work!
14:03 Tritium markers come in the color of the rainbow. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a system where different colors indicated different events in caves? You get lost without a light, yet you make it back to the surface because you study color as direction? Just a thought. Great video, still some of the best content on the web! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 I love you man, stay safe and keep exploring!!! One day I will take my boy into systems like this to have him realize this world. My wife might object, but it's worth it.
Cavers are the most dramatic cry babies on earth, if you made a color system like that 50% would love it and 50% would hate it, that’s the way she goes, just have fun (respectfully) and stay safe is my rule. Preciate you tunning in as always 🤘
Please don't give out cave names on social media. It leads to more vandalism and in the case of this cave potential rescues for unprepared people. Great Channel. Enjoy the content.
@@jonathanbedsole1671 that’s fair only reason I confirmed it is because there’s another pretty popular video about this cave called “cave name and location” and I felt the same way and almost left a comment on that video but they explained it in the comments - the 80 foot pit right at the entrance deturs a lot of the highschool type that would spray paint and deface, mostly only cavers would drop that but I can see some overconfident person trying to get into the system with no real gear and getting hurt, i see both sides and agree with both sides, maybe one day I’ll cya underground :) happy caving dude
13:02 If you like going here, have you considered placing Tritium markers in strategic locations so that you can tell where things are for the next 25+ years? I have Tritium markers that are 25 years old and they are still bright enough for proper usage. It's like crossing a room by halt for infinity. Why don't cavers use Tritium markers? I would.
Cause it’s changing the cave, I wouldn’t use them cause through trial and error I’ve learned how to navigate caves, flagging tape would be better because you can pick it back up and throw it away
OH WOW!! THAT was AMAZING!! When I went to Mammoth Cave, I did everything they had to offer, had a blast. But when I got to the Wild Cave tour, I got as far as the crawling began, & I said nope . I was walked back out by the 2nd guide to the bus & waited for my friend to return at the visitors center area . Apparently I am not claustrophobic, but crawling is not for me . Friend later said yeah I wouldnt have been able to continue on, had I not turned back when I did . There was a lottt more crawling involved . I think I remember Wild Cave tour being like 4 hours long . But he had a blast .
@@Mineral_dude Oh WOW! Ive never heard of that place (around You Tube) . Im not sure Ive ever been to Birmingham, but sounds fun!! I would definitely love to go . Though, I might sit the Wild Cave tour part out, Im sure my friend will do it though . Thanx!
Because that would destroy the ecosystem. Also the majority of ppl who cave or explore don’t do it for the money. The value is the exploration and just getting to see and experience things that most will not. Also I’m pretty sure if there was any gold anywhere in or near there it would have been discovered and strip mined or ran by now. Our ancestors dug more holes and panned more dirt than what ppl think. Every creek in America has been panned and assayed by someone. Well maybe 90% have been. It would be rare to find any new gold deposits in America unless it’s way deep and very inaccessible

It’s always hard to wrap your mind around, and then it’s even crazier thinking these things exist and you could be standing above one rn
