That’s a nice sporty looking watch. I too had my debts. But the more i researched, the more i became sold, its an authentic nice mechanical seiko value. At the end of the day you have a nice watch on your wrist for an extraordinary value with a $10k look. Btw this guy is a true blue collar guy… a little rough handling the merchandise. I luv it!
these movements are made by Time Module, a licensed subsidiary of Seiko, even their own Seiko 5 watches have movements from the same manufacturer. The reason they are so cheap is because they are assembly line units meaning they are all assembled by machine hence the high variable in +/- i.e. 20 - 30 seconds . if you buy any of the older Seiko 5s, most likely you will see a TMI movement inside.
Thanks for clarifying. I noticed your comment about it being a cloned movement in your other video, and just found this one. Glad you corrected it. I am also amazed at the quality/price ratio on these.
@@davekat4680 I really don’t know how they make any money, as long as you don’t expect good lume these are really nice daily wear watches and the bands are of decent quality.
I have 5 of them now, for dollar spent these are excellent watches and they have some great sales. I have to get over some of my snobbish ways about some of these AliExpress watches since they actually make a great watch for a reasonable price.
Just purchased my third one last night, it’s a 37 mm in stainless with a blue dial and ceramic bezel , the other two are a 41 mm in titanium with black bezel and dial and a titanium turtle I think at 44 mm with white dial and black bezel. Only one more for the collection I want to get. I really like the Seiko movements. I’ve had no trouble with them in other watches and keep excellent time. I have a few invicta watches with that movement , my favorite is a 45 mm pro diver in titanium. I really like titanium watches a lot for every day wear. I have a Swiss made invicta with a SW 200 , sapphire Chrystal excellent lume also mother of pear dial. I think I gave around 115 dollars for it new without a box on ebay. The fellow who listed it didn’t even list it correctly and didn’t know what he had. Easily a 500 to 600 dollar watch with a bright polished stainless finish. I don’t think invicta should be discounted as a cheap watch but rather a inexpensive watch with good quality.
TMI & SII is mostly what I see, certainly the labor is cheaper overseas. I love seiko watches but for what is spent on them they should have sapphire and better bands on them. (Seikos that is)
Could still be a clone. These days they sell NH35s as low as 25$ on aliexpress, which is simply not possible. Reliable suppliers are at a steady 40/50 and don’t have a huge margin from my exchanges with them. My guess is Chinese factories have started to mass produce these clones and the vast majority of aliexpress watches and movements are now clones. Not an issue per se as they are compatible and interchangeable with genuine movements if you have an issue, but let’s not kid ourselves, you can’t make a profit with a 50$ movement and a 60$ end product
Anything is possible, I did research briefly on this and TMI is a built under license movement. It’s from China, and nh movements are also made in Taiwan and Malaysia also Indonesia and that labor would be dirt cheap. My newest seiko has the 4r36 and that 4R designation means built by seiko so all these other SII and TMI are considered Seiko movements but are built under licensee movements. I do know that some of the lower end seiko watches have the SII movements hence now they use the 4R or 6R designation on some movements as some don’t want these China/Malaysia movements. All in all I think the SII/TMI movements are pretty solid so I kinda think that seiko using the 4R/6R designation kinda acknowledges that it’s sort of a clone but they are built under license. Bottom line it’s simply them saving labor cost and manufacturing these movements in China or Malaysia would certainly drive that cost way down.
I know what you mean about Tandorio. I have the 36mm Sinn homage and it's become my favorite to wear. NH35 running +3 sec/day, sapphire, 200m (?), very nice watch = $55. I don't even get how they do it.
TMI is legit. It is a genuine Seiko, as TMI is a Seiko subsidary. The low price is due to completely robotic assembly and no regulation being done by the factory. Hence the ridiculous rate of +/- 1 min/day set by Seiko/TMI. But they are easy to regulate and can be set to run at better than 5 s/d.

Yes, I wish seiko would put sapphire crystal's on their watches.
Well done for holding your hands up to your mistake.
Great video by the way.
Thank you. Always a ‘bit’ leery when they are selling nice lil bangers listed with NH35’s for $40 or less when movements are $25 🤔

I just ordered two Tandorio watches , thanks for the video. I’ve been researching these watches before I purchased them from good shows like yours. 🙏

@@max420thc I have 5 automatic invictas and two quartz, most were gifts but I really like them.
Best value around. Thanks for the info.
They have several models that are interesting and in my opinion the best value for a Seiko!
😀
From what I understand Seiko don't make NH35 movements in house. TMI make all the NH35 movements to a Seiko design spec.

Good on you Brother. You are legitimate!
I’ve always doubted these AliExpress watches, but they are legit 👍

If you search the forums this has been discussed a lot and some consider the SII/TMI stamped movement to be a clone since their not from Japan.

Yeah I did some research on them, lots of TMI movements in watches.
Wow their margins must be slim. Saying that, I really like it
This is a budget watch, but has impressive specs for that budget price.
That is interesting to see that the movement is a Seiko NH35
Yes I passed judgment without checking it out, crazy how they can sell these so cheap.
@@bluecollarwatches7048 your pretty much buying the movement at this point
The cost of a batch is never the same as the price of one piece. You can reduce the price enormously if you buy 1000+ units.
@@pzwolski Absolutely !
👍
Thanx !
Anyone can take a fiber laser and engrave literally anything they want onto a movement. It takes almost no skill.
Not is nh35 its clon ????
It’s a built under license nh35.
They aren't clones
I know
