Love all your videos man! Super helpful and insightful. Do you have any suggestions for good Beginner DJ Courses? I'm at a loss of how to practice, and whether I'm actually doing things right. Online course would really help!
Been a resident dj at a club for about 10 years at the same time doing mobile events…. I’ve decided to lean more into mobile events and I’ve found your channel super helpful!!! 👍🏾
Your videos are great! Wish I had them when I first started out. Unfortunately, I had to learn some things the hard way after making mistakes. 100% agree to NEVER go cheap on wireless microphones! So so important that you have a reliable microphone system that doesn't cut in and out during speeches or the ceremony!
Thanks Joe, as a DJ getting back into the game after a little time off. Videos like this are great for comparison of my current set up and where I can make improvements. I greatly appreciate the vault and everything your doing for the community! I have always used Windows based computers. Is there really any advantage in using a mac?
Hey..just checked out your video...so question..im 53 retiring in a year...looking for a gig after...me and a buddy did some djing back in college it was fun...just wondering if maby this could be a good retirement gig..im in still good shape..have a little bit of start up cash...but really still like music...and am a youthfull dude...oh and i live 5 minutes from our college Ball state i figured thats a plus
Joe - good video… I’m curious though… what did you have installed under your DDJ-SX3 controller?? I run everything through an external audio mixer that will allow me to collapse stereo to mono (helpful in odd shaped spaces) and gives me better control over my mics as well as inputs for those backup sound sources) - is that what you’re hiding under there??
Why do you not mention Numark or Denon or other brands? Why just EV? Why not mention QSC or JBL or others? You are not helping if you are just pushing brands. Don't be bias, be helpful. BTW, don't mention you are giving away documents when you are asking to pay $47 or a course that profits you. I give away my wedding packet and contract on my website, totally free, without having anyone watch any videos for profit. Just sayin'
Thank you for watching! Let me know what you think of this video.

Good job posting the basics.

This comment made my day!
No one needs a computer to DJ anymore. Lots of great standalone options.
Awesome video..
Glad you liked it!

Rock on! If you still love it, keep doing it!
Thanks, Joe....clear and concise. What are your opinions on column array speakers (instead of tripod-mounts)?
I only use those currently, the EV Evolve 50 and 30. More for the look than anything else! So sleek!!!
Thanks for the video. Would you recommend a powered speaker or a powered mixer for mobile djing?
Powered speakers for sure!
@@DJJoeBunn thank you for your response.

I think it was this? theeasymod.com/
@@DJJoeBunn Ahhh! I thought the thing on the right was just a strip of jacks & the thing on the left was a mixer (digital?)… cool set up… thanks!
if these all the tools to start Djing how can I get a gig as a Dj
That's where marketing comes into play. www.thedjsvault.com
@@DJJoeBunn will uploading my mixtape on SoundCloud and TH-cam mixcloud can help me out
@@justinmendez4533 Not really. Going viral on IG or Tik Tok might.
@@DJJoeBunn alright thanks.
All you really need is iTunes and a Bluetooth speaker
