High profit, low overhead! True words. Booked my 80th wedding for 2022, things are crazy this year! That's after raising rates twice and adding services. Pre Covid I was averaging 40. Considering becoming a multi-op, but the quality control kinda scares me. Also that would increase overhead. Currently I swap gigs with a few other single-op guys on Oahu if we're double booked or want to go on vacation.
I sold all my gear when COVID happened and now I'm having to buy all equipment back and now starting on very limited budget.I also lost all my music so starting that collection again. So been watching videos very helpful.im fro UK
I want to say that I appreciate all these videos that you're putting out and all of the educational content. I am newer to the Mobile DJ business. All this information is very helpful.
Solid, solid tips from a master! My #1 tip to add...educate yourself and implement what you learned. Perfect notes are great but you'll learn even more and see the results from imperfect ACTION.
I come from the Los Angeles house, Musick seen, and I’ve been DJing for about 27 years. Just getting into the mobile thing. It’s definitely different getting familiar with music that I’m absolutely not familiar with I have all the lighting and gear that you would need to start out actually a lot more than you, but I can probably do anywhere from 100 people to easily 1000. So now it’s just time to put in the work. I will continue to watch your videos. Lotta info appreciate it.
HeyJoe how do you keep the dj's working for you from trying to pass out their cards and take future business from you? And how do keep the dj's playing like you would if you were doing the gig? Are you providing your dj's with the music and equipment as well?
I tell them up front that they are working for me exclusively (other than club stuff). You can also get them to sign a non-compete. Cloning yourself is hard, but training your DJs and letting them shadow you can make them "almost" as good as you! I don't provide gear or music.
Great content!!! New to your channel.I am a DJ in Philadelphia that has been in the game for over 30 years also. Looking to scale up and get more gigs. As you know, this pandemic has really put a strain on my business. I need to fix that. Looking forward to your content and future endevours.
Hello I'm a DJ/music producer in Philadelphia too and I love working on remixes. I could help you tap into the Hispanic market in exchange for experience. Message me if interested!

Hey Joe, if we are just starting our mobile dj business, is it important to make sure we have an LLC attached to it before doing any events in case of any issues?
i ordered the stuff from the link but have not got anything yet from it ? can you help me figure out how i can sign into the account and see what i paid for ....thank you
HEY I JUST TRYED TO DOWNLOAD 'FREE Pricing Sheet & Wedding Brochure Examples' and a trojan virus tried to takeover my MacBook. Thought you would need to know this.
Does Joe Bunn DJ Company have a sales team? You could standardize packages, do sales in the areas that you have DJs (so DJs don't have to, and because a sales professional will excel at sales consultations, and will close more sales), and expand your DJ business!
Thanks for watching! Share your advice for new mobile DJs in the comments below!

Multiop... Do you provide all the equipment?
I don't. Some do.
Hello Joe Bunn
Nice video, when do you think it's ideal to start a multi op, at the beginning or once you have tested the market?
I think once you are getting more calls than you can possibly handle.
Joe, is the sales presentation in the vault?
What I call Wedding Sales Machine is def in the vault.

This is going to be Joe's most viewed video.
BTW, I have my notepad ready
you think so?
"Create Packages" - on the website of DJ Bunn -> No Packages! :D
You lost me. Where do I say we don't do packages?
@@DJJoeBunn at least they are hidden on the website. So they are not part of the public marketing structure.

I AM the competitor tho
Hey Joe, if we are just starting our mobile dj business, is it important to make sure we have an LLC attached to it before doing any events in case of any issues?
I would def. talk to a business lawyer in your area, and get that set up. Maybe an accountant as well. And you def. need insurance too!
How do I start doing multi-op? I want to hire at least 3 DJ's to out source. Please help me out here.
The first thing I'd do is join www.thedjsvault.com and start learning there.
i ordered the stuff from the link but have not got anything yet from it ? can you help me figure out how i can sign into the account and see what i paid for ....thank you
Ordered what? Email help@thedjsvault.com and Tyler will get you in.

Also, it would be a great way to mentor new DJs, and give us new DJs some entry level shadowing opportunities...
All DJs do their own selling for us. www.weddingsalesmachine.com.
A 5 hour gig let say a birthday party how much would you charge
Me? $3000. Most other DJs $1200-1500 I'd guess
Can you make money by not bring a wedding monkey
If you get in with corporate gigs.
