Russian MRE Review IRP-PR NEW 2022 Military Field Ration | Individual Meal Ready to Eat Taste Test

- I never thought I'd have the chance to review this new 2022 Russian Military IRP-PR. Like the MRE this, ready to eat, Individual Daily Dry Field Ration is meant to feed a soldier for a single meal. I ordered it back in February, before the invasion. My jaw dropped when it was actually delivered earlier this month. This meal was packed in January of this year making it the newest Russian ration I've ever come across. From some of the stuff I've seen it seems to be better than a lot of what is actually being issued to Russian troops in the current conflict. Even though it was so freshly packed the crackers were already stale unfortunately. I'm glad I had the opportunity to review this ration. I truly hope this horrible conflict comes to an end soon.
Thanks for watching!

Buckwheat jar they usually heat in a frying pan if they have access to it in the field.. usually they have it as Russians are quite particular about how they live in the field if it is to be in the same place for a while. they heat in a frying pan and mix something more into it if there is any. eg can with more pork or fish.
Great review, RR! Was glad to see you mix the cheese in with the beef and barley. I would have been tempted to mix them together from the beginning, but that’s just me.
It would have been a great move. It was a delicious combination. Thanks so much for watching buddy.
Very cool, RR ! I am familiar, with food items, due to trying A few Russian rations. This particular type of meal, was not one I tried. I know the components, just not the ration. I love, Kasha, Apple Butter, cheese, tea, ETC., I thoroughly enjoy. Great ration and review. Peace, John.
Yeah the Russian fair doesn't change all that much. I do enjoy the stuff though. Thanks for watching brother.
@@ReadinessRations , Still tasty however, in my opinion, LOL. I agree, crackers, can be, ahem, Iffy? Peace Bro.
You arw doing a good job in this channel . Keep feed us with your reviews
I appreciate that!
Wow that is very fresh. Never seen any that fresh. Awesome review RR
I doubt I'll ever run across another this fresh. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your review. Very nicely done. John Magnum did a collaboration review with me this past weekend. Long winded at 25 minutes. Lol. Blessings 👍🏼
Nice to see such a new one. You are right about the crackers though, they do need better packaging. I've never really had any that actually taste fresh myself.
I've had good crackers once. I'm almost starting to think they are stale upon packing because this was super new and they were still off.
@@ReadinessRations Maybe they are or maybe they just taste this way regardless. Until we get some that taste different it may be best to assume there all stale tasting as per the norm lmao
I wonder if the transportation by air is what causes the staleness? Maybe the air pressure pops the pack or forces some exchange of air? A couple of British guys that have tested them have not had the issue and it was probably shipped by one the whole way?
Hang on, hang on, that's not Barley, that's Buckwheat. Both Buckwheat and Barley are very different from eachother
Just letting you know out there
these crrackers are to be put in hot water first, then they increase in volume and become soft. a bread replacement for better preservation
I can agree on the apple jam, with your Russian viewer. I would just eat it with a spoon. Sprinkle a little sugar in the beef and barley. Great review buddy 👍
Hello there my friend. Wish I had some more of that jam right about now lol.
Sugar in meat? Put your mobile down and think about yourself.
That is one of my favorite russian mains great review rr see you next time
Thanks for checking it out buddy!
Mexican style chicken stew. My personal favorite MRE.
I've never had that one actually
I've had it, it is good!
Where is the best place to buy mre rations? I tried ordering from mre mountain and never got my rations.
Excited to watch this Tomorrow
Thanks man! This is probably one of the last Rations to leave the country before the 💩 hit the fan.
Such a cool logo for an mre
Campbell’s beef & barley soup minus the broth lol. Sweet review though , you high energy freak 😉
I felt like my energy was a little low in this one lol. I guess I need to try that soup now.
great review!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've noticed that a lot of foreign MREs have canned goods in them, seems like it would be a better idea to go to plastic to save weight. Am I missing a reason for the cans?
@@canadafree2087 Ah, you know I had not considered the cost difference or material availability, or the production capabilities. Makes a lot more sense when taking that into consideration.
Russia has some rations that use pouches. I think it's just an economics thing. Of course the cans add weight to the soldier but if it saves money then maybe it's worth it?? I see most countries switching to pouches before long though.
Plastic lowers testosterone extremely .
@@Downey-2000 💯👍 and sperm kvantity, potention. ...
Cans are heavy, bulky, easily dented and clank. That said cans could be stored in socks and lashed to a ruck
Great video. Very informative.
Thank you.
Ready cool .. any Vodka in that one ? 😁
Haha, unfortunately not
I've never liked the taste of barley. But if I was a hungry trooper in the field I'd eat it.
I bought a bunch of those civilian rations. I wasn’t impressed. Trying to give them all away 😂
They are unimpressive but still tasty mains I think.
@C T really?
I am shocked.. SHOCKED.. to find Kasha in a Russian ration...
Who would have thought 😂
I Recently ordered a 24 hour Russian MRE and it had kasha in it and it was delicious
@@matthewlang4065 I'm a fan of the stuff!
@@ReadinessRations same as I actually maybe be Russian or Ukrainian by blood because my grandpa was Adopted, I am from the USA though but, I normally eat American MREs but wanted to try something different so I bought the Russian 24 hour MRE and was very impressed and happy with my decision to buying it. Will definitely buy it again at sometime.
Can you look for The Arm forces of the Philippines Military Ration?
I would love to if I could ever get my hands on one. If you have any leads let me know lol
I wonder what it would have been like if you were to take the main in this one and add water to it. Would it turn out like a beef a barley soup? might be a way to stretch it to fill you up more.
If you just said Bega cheese, It's made in Bega new South Wales and is Australia's largest cheese maker.
1:16 Why does it have the picture of a bat?
Not sure. As far as I know it is just a logo for the company that produces the ration.
Where can I get real military rations
Just a tip, if your black tea is bitter, you probably overbrewed it.
The packing on the Russian crackers always shocks me, plastic like that is useless for more than a month maybe. They should use foil or foil lined cardboard for those crackers, seen a German ration do that and seemed to work pretty well.
These are not crackers, but biscuits, they are completely different things.
Good job
Apple chedder is the best way
My grandmother put me onto it when I was a kid
When I see the barley, I pretty sure those who eat it will gonna have a good digestion.
No digestive issues from this one.
@@ReadinessRations because there's barley in the main course which is really 👍
XD it's not JAM and I'm going to die on this hill!
Also it's not given to prisoners, I probably messed up when I said that, it's given to soldiers and in schools!
Jam or not, I'm still a big fan lol
@@ReadinessRations Yeah, literally everyone I know are, it's just me! Glad you like it!
Barley is quite popular in Russia, but I would say that buckwheat and Rice are the most common kasha (porridge) ingredients. The most popular beverage without a doubt is black tea, hot, with sugar, that's not even a contest.
At least you got a new ration..I've seen Ukrainian war footage where Ukrainian soldiers are picking up Russian 24 hour rations that are dated 2018 next too burned out BMP and BTR's.
Again another informative video.👍👍
I saw some from 2013!!
Ukraine is losing, badly. Keep the cope.
@@NemesisX94 You were saying?
@@NemesisX94 Zelenskyy's government is stealing most of the monetary and weapon aid we send to Ukraine. Little reaches the troops.
@@poindexter5059 He’s saying the truth.
Ukraine literally has to shoot rockets at Poland out of desperation 😂
I should imagine if you're in the Russian military invest in a small selection of the Russian equivalent of Schwarz
They didn’t include vodka ? Lame ….
Quit picking at your food
That IRP is probably fresher than the rations being issued to Russian soldiers in the field.
Yo that food looks so good bro🍆🍆
Что это за дерьмо? Это не сухпай. )))
For the sake of realism in practice russian military MRE should be expired 8 years ago
Sad but true
for realism, your software, bots, was updated 8 years ago, sad but true
Guess this came from a dead Russian 😂😂😂
I was gonna say to mix the jam and cheese lol
Lmfaooo🤡🤣🤡 every time I watch someone from North America surprised as a little kid from a birthday party present from Russia 🤣🤣🤡
