Russian MREs are cool, I really like how they come with the little stoves and the way that the food comes in containers that you can put over the stoves , that's so cool
There are benefits for it in cold weather. Sure it might increase the risk of being detected but fire warm up and increase morale of the soldiers. There are many MRE that come with both the flameless heaters and the stoves to allow soldiers to chill whenever they can afford it.

I came back every year . Another January 1st these were my favorite MRE videos
Best part is him, genuinely enjoying a taste of his homeland. Pretty sure he lives in the states or overseas and misses Russian food and this was just him enjoying familiar foods.

As an American camper we usually use Sterno alcohol canisters and works great for a small portable stove but those small flammable pellets work good too!
